Naka trotted into the forest and looked around. "I wonder what we'll find in here today?" he wondered aloud.

Right away he spotted a Caterpie. He was about to try making friends with it, but remembered that he'd been told back at the guild to just try and fight the bug pokemon he found here, for practice. "Oh, um, Rawr!" He charged at the Caterpie with one claw upraised, but just the sight of him was enough to send the bug scurrying away.

Jubilee skipped into the forest after Naka. When the charmander scared away the caterpie, Jubilee placed her stick very carefully on the ground and clapped for her teammate. "Wow," she exclaimed, "that was awesome!"

Jubilee picked up her stick and looked around. Naka must have really scared that caterpie! He's probably telling all his caterpie friends to not mess with him right now, that would definitely explain the sudden emptiness of the room. The togepi looked over to her friend with a smile then raised her stick and marched onward to the next room.

Naka rubbed the back of his head, a little embarrassed at the praise. "It wasn't that awesome. I bet you couldn't done the same." Seeing as his friend was already moving on, he hurried to catch up.

He immediately spotted another pokemon perched on a branch! Eager to do the job right, he puffed up his chest and Growled fiercely at the Nincada. The bug was so scared that it fell of its branch, and hurriedly skittered off into the bushes.

Jubilee clapped again, and watched the nincada scurry away. Hmm, Jubilee started to wonder if she could do the same? She did just learn growl... Nah, she should save her growls for weedles. Weedles are mean.

A butterfree emerge from the trees to check what's all the ruckus about. Her antennae twitched when she discovered there were two unfamiliar visitors in her territory.
"Butterfwee!" She buzzed angrily.
Jubilee, unphased by the sudden appearance of the hostile bug-type only gaped at the sight of the butterfree. She waved her hands in a greeting.
She didn't realized that her hands were glowing as she unintentionally used metronome. Nice job, Jubilee.

Jubilee eye's twinkled as the metronome triggered foresight. Such a move would put any ghost-type in a pickle because they suddenly become susceptible to normal and fighting-type moves.
Unfortunately the butterfree was a bug and flying-type. The hostile pokemon saw no threat in the togepi and merely scoffed and flutter off, seeing that this was a waste of her time.
"Bye Ms. Butterfree!" Jubilee called out and continued waving. Gee, that was a nice butterfree.

Naka also waved at the Butterfree before turning for the path. "Come on, let's see what else is in here," he told Jubilee as he marched onward.

Unfortunately there was nothing to see in the next part of the forest. Naka looked around studiously, but saw nothing but trees and grass.

Jubilee skipped after Naka and poked around the foliage with her trusty stick. Maybe she could coax something out from hiding...

A cheri berry rolled out of a bush she poked. The togepi pocketed it and marched onto the next room, skipping occasionally out of habit.

Naka watched Jubilee shake a berry from the bushes. "Wow, that stick is pretty handy!" he noted. "I bet you can do lots of stuff with it!" Seeing her moving on, he hurried to follow.
