Introduction Welcome to Astrid’s journal, where I will be chronicling her early stages until she learns to write for herself. Basic interactions and big milestones will be written here. Astrid is the fifth dew to have called out for me. I’m excited to see how she’ll grow up. I hope you will join me... <3

~Entry 1~
I couldn't believe it when I felt the call again. A lonely ringing faint in my head, and an aching pull in my chest. Could I really be deserving of a fifth dream? As I'd done before, I put away what I was doing and headed out to the sanctuary. Ourania kicked up a fuss at being left behind, but I wanted to do this alone. Still quite frazzled from what happened with Branka, I needed the space and silence to feel, to sense, the dew.
The day was hot and humid, but a cool breeze rose as I passed through the sanctuary gates. The draw was stronger, and I felt a spread of warmth when I laid my eyes on the tree. The tree of the dews. Somewhere in those thick, sturdy branches, a little dew was calling to me. I looked up at the tree, and felt the dew's excitement grow. It knew that I had come to answer its lonely plea.
I frowned when I realized how high it was. Apparently, I was going to have to go climbing again.... I hate to admit it, but I must have groaned quite loudly. I put a hand on the trunk, and heard the scattering of leaves. I looked up in time to see a dew falling toward me. I gasped, and caught it just in time. I felt like it had dropped purposely. "..Thank you," I said softly, and got an equally soft ring in reply.
Relieved that I didn't have to climb to the top of the tree, I went in search of an essence. Nothing looked right, until I passed a dark gold bottle. When I picked it up, the dew rang happily. I giggled, and poured a drop onto the ringing sphere. It seemed to sing happier as the clear form turned the same gold as the liquid in the bottle.
"Well, welcome to the family, Astrid." ....Another girl. Chadrick is going to hate this! Good thing he isn't living at home anymore. I hope she's got enough energy to keep up with Ourania. At any rate, I feel like she is quite content now.

~Entry 2~
So, Astrid is being a mysterious little bugger. I know she likes things, but she won't be specific at all. The others picked colors and music and things like that. Astrid claims to be happy with pretty much everything I show her. I get the feeling she's toying with me... Ourania agrees.
At least those two get along already. Ourania will take Astrid out exploring through the yard in a special carrying basket. ...Admittedly, I'm afraid that Ourania is at risk of losing the little dew, but they're both so happy when they go out together. I wonder if she'll be a little adventurer like my kitty.
Apparently, she shares the essence of Blue's Kristopher. So, I might be having a little griffon of my own coming. Thankfully, she isn't a nightmare. As expected, Branka has no interest in interacting with the dew. Astrid doesn't seem to mind in the least though. She's even more carefree than Chadrick was at her stage! At least she doesn't chatter as much as he did.
I'm glad she's happier now than when I found her. She no longer has that sad, lonely chime that I first heard. I can tell she doesn't like being alone, even for bed. I've ended up setting her on another pillow next to me. She's turned into a lovely alarm clock, waking me every morning with her delighted chime as the sun lights the bedroom~

~Entry 3~
Well, when Astrid finally settled on something to voice a liking for, I wasn't expecting the style at all. Ourania told me that Astrid is thinking she'll grow soon, so I took her around the children's shops to find an outfit for her. As before, she didn't show particular interest in anything. She seemed quite restless in the matter, really. I think she would have been fine in a toga sheet and flip-flops...
Turns out, I wasn't too far off. I went to looking around online, before resorting to having something made only after she grew. Imagine my surprise when I heard a happy little jingle ring out. I had to call for Ourania, and she let out a shriek of delight when she saw what Astrid wanted. When my kitty pointed at the picture, I nearly fell out of my chair. A Halloween costume! Seriously! Some... viking princess. I tried to direct her in a more practical style, but she wasn't having it. She didn't make another sound until I went back to the costume, and Ourania confirmed it. So... a little viking princess on my hands.
Next up was the hair style. I tried to get Ourania to help tell me what Astrid wanted for that as well, but the silly girl was pointing at everything. Told her to go play with her dolls. Right then, Astrid rang another little chime. I went through the photos one at a time before pointing at the one she wanted. ....I hope she's patient. I'll have to get a stylist for this one.... I don't know that a child can even lift their head with that much hair!
Now, if only she would tell me more. She won't even tell me what colors she likes yet! I can't get a room ready for her or anything! I've never known a youth to hold back such information like she does. Yet, she's a cheerful and friendly little thing. I just don't know... OutfitHair
