After all that had happened, Tilawen walked away alive for the most part worrying still for her friends but alive. She had parted ways with Junjie after making sure he left as well. She had taken the medal that was offered although suspicious of it. It was suppose to give her more access to towns, but somehow she felt like perhaps it was more to keep track of the hybrids...
Fiddling with the thing in her hands she was currently sitting on a rock near a lake. A large tree was casting its shadow across her body, she liked to be hiding, although she was still in the open she liked being able to have her hood down , her hair flowing over her shoulders she was examining the medal. Trying to see if any runes were etched into it, any magical properties there may be scribed onto it...she didn't trust it...she wanted to know more about it...her distrust in others was great.
The young woman was still on her search for her father, she had yet to figure out what she was going to do once she had found him. The angry bitter side of her wanted to be the cause of his death, another sadder part of her wanted to break down crying and ask him why he had left her in her time of need. Mostly she wanted to know...why. Why had he bothered to raise her..if only to leave her? Was she that much of a burden?
Bitterness a common taste in her mouth these days tried to push those thoughts aside as she continued to look over the thing in her hand.

Nuivian brushed off his robes and pulled more foliage out of his hair, tidying himself up after his recent brush with an Ysali dragon. Damned things were tougher than he had thought, even with giving himself time to rest and come back he still hadn't beaten any. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but it was already his fourth try. Damned things. Dragons could put him in the foulest of moods. He scowled to himself and continued his trek.
He thought he had known the way back, but that dragon must have turned him around somehow. As he continued to walk he came out of the trees to a lake. Hmph, just another thing to put him in a terrible mood. And the last thing he needed was to ask for directions. Especially when he really shouldn't be out here on his own to begin with. Most would think Nuivian was too young, but when you take care of yourself for so long age begins to sink to the back of your mind.
Not that he could ask for directions even if he wanted to. There wasn't a single miserable soul around... Nuivian scanned the area briefly before settling on something to the right of the lake. Well damn, he was wrong. There seemed to be exactly one miserable soul near this lake, and she seemed miserable enough.
Nuivian had to make the decision whether he really wanted to ask for directions, but either way, he didn't want to return home any time soon, so what was the harm in joining her? He slowly walked his way around the lake to her, taking his time getting there. He wasn't much of a people person to begin with. The girl was older than him, a good deal bit to be sure, but she seemed to be Dovaa; that was a plus.
He cleared his throat behind her, hoping to get her attention.

Tilawen stiffened as she heard foot steps behind her, and her hand slowly went for her staff fingers wrapping around the wooden hilt. Where her fingers touched the wood seemed to grow black like it was being burned. it didn't spread far as she still wasn't sure what she was up against. Her red hair obscured her features as the person had come up from behind. But...if her saw her hand...the skin tone would be black....how would he react if she turned around?
Well..this was why she had started readying her spells...just in case if the person behind her was hostile. Could never be to careful.
Half turning to see who it was that came up behind her, annoyed with her distraction earlier to allow such a thing to happen, the green orbs in her eye sockets glowed...they locked onto the young boy before her...a dovaa by the looks of it and she scowled. Had her hunch been correct? The leaders were sending in scouts to keep track already?
She was already suspicious of his appearance but she couldn't be sure. Lucky for him she hadn't come to the point that she would attack first...and ask questions later.
"What do you want..." She inquired her tone low and unfriendly but not hostile.

Nuivian was taken aback by this girl's appearance. And here he thought that he would be dealing with a Dovaa. What was she? Obviously not completely Dovaa and if he had to guess, part Oblivionite. Well great. Not only did he decide to talk to someone who could possibly be more miserable than himself, but it was someone with a reason to be miserable. Damn.
Too late to back out of this now.
He saw her clutching her staff and eyeballed her with a bit of sarcasm. Like she would really attack him. He wasn't much to be reckoned with, and she would most definitely take him in a fight, but to think that he would actually have any interest in hurting her was laughable. He had a hard enough time getting himself out here to hunt dragons.
He raised his hands in mock surrender, his eyes screaming arrogant amusement. "Only for some company." Which wasn't completely false. He was lost to be sure, but he also wasn't about to ask for directions, making that a moot point. What he was interested in right now was a distraction from his current failures. Who knew, maybe he would continue trying after this break?
