Hell's Gate, the once all great and powerful entry way and escape route from Hell. At the end of the Burning Invasion, the gate was destroyed and now all that is left is the small fiery vortex of which it once stood. Walking inside, if you survive the journey here in the first place, its like looking through a window from a dark husk outside, into a spacious void, where nothingness now lies.

Rumours say the void could lead to the Underword, or endless death.

It had been but only a year or so since the last time En'radial tried to rally the forces of the Scarred to attack the Isle of Elixer, the rather pathetic army was cast away to their doom by following her on a hopeless assault. Though Mor'laz had to admit, she almost prevailed, but he wasn't surprised she failed either. The spreading rumours that Lucifial, Lord of Betrayal , had returned to the Overworld was invigorating for many of the Scarred on Bloodholme. He was a Higher Demon that they could all look up to, he was one that had not stood on mortal ground for centuries, and he would only come if he had a reasonable plan. Mor'laz stood amongst the countless others that had crowded at Hell's Gate, he was still surprised that she really arrived, far away, he could see her. She was a grand woman standing three times taller than any of them, and from her back were eight spiney limbs with feet like daggers that would crawling along the ground like spider's legs with her own two feet. Her waist still adorned many swords, and in this visage of herself she bore much crimson red armour around her face, waist, breast and lower legs, and it was all spiked like knives at its edges. She was a horrifically beautiful thing to look at as she got closer, the hordes of Scarred roaring and cheering to their mother so-to-speak. But Mor'laz didn't join, it was such a petty thing, for what reason would they prevail this time?

He waited for Kole, he expected to see the no-gooder around at some point, this whole thing would get in the way of Kole's hopes to raise the once powerful dragon he believed in and reserved so much. The thought made Mor'laz snigger almost, how typical. Just then En'radial past nearby and began making her way to the front of the once burning gateway to hell, now there was but a void within, and anyone who get close would be forever torn apart over and over and the pain would never end. One crazed scarred went crazy for En'radial's splendour,a nd rant owards her, but one of her limbs raised up and came down like a dagger. The spine went through the man's chest and impale him against the ground, just after the body was tossed over the hundreds of Scarred gathered here like it was of no real importance. En'radial only laughed, her tone of voice enchanting yet sinister like a succubus.

Apparently, En'radial was here... with renewed power. She certainly looked the part too, this time she had all the power of a Higher Demon, not the form she used to behold with he rpowers stripped from her when she was exiled. Lucifial must have something planned for this world if he has let her roam with all her ability. Maybe she could re-open the gate, let Hell spill through and finally bring the Lord of Ruin to the Overworld, then, and only then would the Maiden of Torment have redeemed herself to Valial, the one true ruler of Hell... who's suspiciously not ever been seen.

Kole watches as two lights slowly drift across the starry sky. He takes a deep foggy breath and looks down. The wind violently flaps his cape as he hovered miles above the ground over what had been the gate to the abyss.
Kole could not help to let out a sigh when recognizing the pale figure to whom he owed a great debt to. Another was with him, to what alliance he could not deduce.
Perhaps this was his chance to repay and be rid of any ties to this wretched necrophile.

Kole slowly let himself lower to the ground near Mor'laz.
Alas Mor'laz, our paths cross yet again. Are you expanding your puppetry of rotting meat to a more Scarred variety?
He smirks with one very sharp tooth and turns to the obviously powerful being. What a fool, Kole thought to himself, she would do well to suppress all of that power.
He turns back to Mor'laz, Should I go get my invitation?

As he watched all the commotion, a gust of air caought Mor'laz's side and caused his hair to brush over his face. His emotionless expression paid no attention to the arrival of Kole, his voice was enough to tell him who it was. He mentioned how Mor'laz and the other necromancers had ventured deeper into Bloodholme, he replied with "You could say that, though many of us are here to swear allegiance to our mother-of-sorts". He thought of how the Scarred were part mortal, part demon, and that many years ago during the Burning Invasion the two bloods mixed to create the often deformed Scarred. Mor'laz looked at Kole and replied "You're already here, a little late for that don't you think?" his tone wasn't welcoming, though it wasn't aggressive either, Mor'laz was just very monotone most of the time.

"My children..." En'radial began, her thrumming voice echoing across the landscape, pleasing the ears of many who heard her luscious tone. She turned to face them all and stood before the steps leading up to Hell's Gate, "No longer will you all suffer and and be punished by the mortals over seas, no longer will Hell be locked away! Today, my brother turns Magic Earth to turmoil and today I will open the gate to Hell. And if any of you fail to obey me..." then, En'radial dug her eight spidery legs into the round and lifted her body off the ground, sending a burst of power through the ground that cracked the scorched earth beneath their feet. En'radial then finished by saying "you will feel the eternal agony of torment!"

Shortly after, small portals ripped open, they were read and if you could see inside it was like a never ending pool of blood, from it gave birth to small demons that crawled along the ground and had large blade-like arms and legs, a few Succubus then strode through with a sinister grin before the portals closed once more. These were demons of physical and mental agony, from the realm of Hatred, the realm that En'radial governed, from which she instilled torment in all of her foes and not much less of her own demons!

Mor'laz watched as the coming of demons began, and with crossed arms he couldn't help but mutter "So, we're slaves to her or we're doomed to die to the mortals". Mor'laz was normally all up for following the Greater Demons, it was in his nature, but he never usually understood it. The Scarred would become slaves, unless they showed superior pwower, then the Greater Demons would often grant them special privileges. Though, he guessed... it would be worth it in the end.

Kole obviously wasn't please with that Mor'laz had to say, the necromancer arely flinched and continued to stare forwards at their self-crowned queen. He had to admit though, Mor'laz didn't think of himself a slave, no, not at all. The only reason he went on like this was because it was the only way for him to get anywhere, for any of them to get anywhere.

With his second comment, Kole gave Mor'laz one last gaze looking for some kind of reply. Mor'laz did then break his gaze with En'radial and looking at him, "Hell is nothing but chaos and autonomous meat... but we have something the mortals don't. Numbers." he said, looking around at the scarred surrounding them, the hordes were growing thicker by the minute, and not to mention the very few demons coming forth through smaller rips in reality. "Imagine if Hell's Gate was reopened. We'd take Occulas easier than the first time the demons did it alone... But... on the contrary... this army is merely a mindless husk"

Kole gave a humph while agreeing with Mor'laz. This was the most pitiful display of strength, but a formidable mass nonetheless. He was right, and Kole then realized this might be a reoccurring phenomenon. Mor'laz was smarter and stronger than most he had met in the past so it might not such a bad thing to pair up with him in this ordeal. Mor'laz, Kole's face suddenly changed to strictly serious and leaned in closer to him in a lower voice, All differences aside, are you willing to work together through this. If she is making any form of effective plan, this collection cannot be her entire force. I assume there are powerful officers behind the scenes, one whom may be a problem for a couple of individuals such as ourselves. Kole pulls back to stand up straight with another toothy grin. She is also a threat to my goal, or an oblivious accomplice. Kole turned towards the crowd which was now thick enough to reach them in what was once the far reaches. The heat around his body quickly focused on his palm as he placed it on the creature's back. Then like a stamp, a rune was left on its back glowing silently before fading away. Release MindWalk, in twenty minutes, go berserk. The deformed beast resembling something like a minotaur, gave a grunt a began to make its way through the crowd. Kole kept himself composed, looking back up at the Greater Demon, still involved in her speech.

Kole's face so close to his own was almost a gross offence to Mor'laz personal space, but he let the Scarred speak-on. With his first sentence complete, and body backed away agin Mor'laz thought over it in his mind as Kole went on to explain and bring up his goal again. The Scarred necromancer continued to not reply as he thought, but the warmth coming from Kole made him side-step as he watched him place a rune on another's back, the Scarred didn't eve flinch. That's not a common ability Mor'laz thought to himself, as he watched the man walk deeper into the crowd. Then, suddenly, Mor'laz looked at Kole and asked "What are you planning?" in a shocked tone, "You're sending him to his death" he then added, back to his monotone voice, "I hope you know that".

"If you want to succeed in your plan i personally don't see how giving the demons a reason to kill you will help" Mor'laz admitted, it was going to take him some time to be convinced to do anything on behalf of someone else. Mor'laz worked for himself, and only ever did what made his life easier, he would stab a thousand men in the back before he sacrificed himself for someone else.

Kole was almost amused by causing Mor'laz to break his cool, even for a moment. As I said earlier. You cannot have a party this size without a form of security. This is bait to show if she is really worth giving credit to. Kole simply crossed his arms and waited.

The Greater Demon went on with words or a chant or something obnoxious but paid no attention. He could only focus his mind, searching for anything promising among them. Hopefully, the enemy could hide its presence well or else this would have been a terrible waste of time. To Kole's delight, the time had arrived. The enchantment had activated and caused the demon to bring down several with violent swings before collapsing itself. What!

Did you see where it came from? Kole did not let his expression change in fear of giving himself away. Whoever was capable of so swiftly ending a riot before it had even began must be very vigilant, and nearby. Was it the Greater Demon herself? More information was need before making a foolish decision. Demons had already began to feast on the corpse of the enchanted fallen.

"Hm" Mor'laz cheaply exhaled as he crossed his arms and went back to watching the scene unfold before them. En'radial was still giving her speech, she was always the biggest of the three Greater Demon's to talk too much.

Time past rather slowly, but finally Mor'laz noticed the spell on Kole's victim kick-in. The beast-like man stepped forwards into the front of teh crowd and randomly swung his giant hammer at two fragile scarred infront of him, in moments they were on the floor, dead. But just as quickly the charmed Scarred collapsed and died, instantly. Kole was surprised, he whispered his shock to Mor'laz, and to tell the truth the necromancer stared on too, waiting to see what had done it so quick.

En'radial stepped forwards and the crowd moved backwards to gie her space as she approached the now dead scarred, being devoured by some of the lesser demons. "Let this be a warning to any of you" she announced, lifting one of her spidery limbs from the ground, and like a dagger it plunged into the chest of a man standing on the other side of Mor'laz. He cried out in pain as blood splattered and ruined Mor'laz's robes. She pulled the still-living Scarred up into the air and held him high on her spidery leg, she announced "Mistakes will not be taken lightly, and remember. Agony is my favourite pleasure" she finished with a seductive guffaw before tossing the now dead body to the ground as she walked up the steps of the diminished Hell's Gate, "Prepare yourselves for war" she finally added.

Mor'laz wiped some of the fresh blood from his face, and looked at Kole disgustedly as he said "I get the feeling that's our queue to leave"

Kole blinked in time to see the blur of the Greater Demon to smash down on the mindless pawn. It's cries in pain were not enough to drown out her speech before dispatching it with a javelin like leg. Kole was impressed with her tact. He could not have done it better himself, which was a problem. So when Mor'laz suggested their departure, he would be a fool to refuse. Agreed.

Kole focused on himself and Mor'laz. Release Detect A veil of shadow coated them both, concealing their presence. With this enchantment mother had taught him, a man staring right at his horns would overlook it like part of the background. Kole turned and began to walk to the crowd's perimeter, then followed its circumference back around behind the Hell Gate. Whatever your plan is Mor'laz, this looks like opportunity knocking. If we can get on her good side... Kole trailed off with the idea and a sharp toothed grin.

The two of them circled the outskirts of the crowd, it had dispered somewhat since En'radial dismissed them all, many of the Scarred that had nothing to live for stayed behind. The more magically inclined of them stayed, and began conjuring ways to channel their powers to Hell's Gate, others went back to the City of the Damned, some to the Demonforge. They were now preparing for war.

As the shadows cocncealed them, Mor'laz couldn't help but be slightly impressed, "It's not everyday a Scarred such as yourself learns illusions...". Not long after, Kole whispered further details to him. Mor'laz stopped and looked at him, he said quietly "Who said I have a plan? I'm but a simple Scarred necromancer who is trying to make life easier for himself... If you're "god" happens to give me reason to go out of my way, i'll let you know. To get on her good side, we just have to abide. Its extremely unlikely any of us will be important for her, the Greater Demons often kill their own, remember? En'radial was apparently exiled from Hell, framed maybe? Fooled? They all want Valial's throne down there."

Kole considered Mor'laz's words. It was uncharacteristic for a Greater Demon to amass an army, of pawns and Scarred nonetheless. Mor'laz may have even guessed her motive correctly. Something was off if a Greater Demon was being pushed around. What was pushing her around for that matter.

I do not wish to resurrect the dragon king under these conditions. He will grant ultimate power to his successors, but this commotion will make collecting the essential materials difficult. War will postpone my advance. If I cannot stop this myself, I must join her and guide this to an early conclusion. Kole steps from the veil of shadow. En'radial! Permit me to prove my worth and join your cause! Focusing his fire aura over his entire body,
Release Ultima Protecto.
This way I wont be able to fight to my full potential, but she also wont be able to kill me.... I hope, Kole thought to himself.

In response to his absurd ideas Mor'laz wanted to say "What in Hell's name do you-" he only got so far in speaking before Kole has moved from the shadows and back into the open, advertising his worth to the Maiden of Torment. He heard looked down at him, and several of her succubi guffawed at such a thing. What an idiot Mor'laz began, making his way through the Scarred to get a better look without being in the open, Ohwell, if he dies its one less soul to torment me he thought. En'radial raised from his seat and began with "mmmm" as he slender legs strided over and down the steps of Hell's Gate. "You're already in my cause, whether you like it or not, isn't it in your blood to devote yourselves?" she gestured to the rest of them as she chuckled in glee.

"Showing me what you can do will only make me throw you into the frontline. Would you enjoy being trampled over at the front with all my demons? How about my brothers? They would love to decipher your mind... i'll take great ecstasy in watching"

Mor'laz watched and waited to see what cunning idea Kole was gonna blurt out next, was he simply trying to find a means not to be cannon fodder? Or asking to be killed? Mor'laz wasn't sure yet, but he knew he wouldn't be raising him from the grave.
