Antarmur'ss flickered back into the domain of Lukarius. He was a bit worn. He was a bit scarred up. but he was quite satisfied. His hair had grown back in and he had resumed wearing it loose. His eyes, however, he kept wrapped in a strip of shadow created ribbon. He stretched his arms over his head and gave a happy little grumble.
Lukarius felt the shifting in his realm's veil as the other god entered it, and for a moment he wondered if he should try avoiding the other god. As it currently was, he was not quite out of his mood caused by his follower's actions. Her heart was soft, and for the newly deceased souls in his realm, it was a priceless thing to have acquired. However, when she applied it to those still living...
He sighed heavily, one hand coming up to rub at his tense forehead as his other hand tightened on his scythe. To be able to destroy all that lived and be done with this cursed awareness that 'life' still continued on. How Luk so missed his peaceful slumber in his own tomb of grave soil. He got up from his throne, ignoring the followers that were tending to his soul stones as he made his way into his chambers.
He made sure to close himself off from his followers inside the room, placing jackals outside to keep them from entering without his say. Right now, he did not wish to see those mortal souls still bound to their bodies. Luk set his scythe against one wall, then sat himself down on his bed of stone and silk, and let the chill and darkness comfort him.
Antarmur'ss followed a small ritual he had taken up since deciding to rely on Lukarius for protection. He inspected the chamber with a slow tilt of his head. Once he was certain there was nothing physical in the room, or lurking within the shadows, he allowed his guard to relax.
He had won. Honestly. he had defeated all his foes. So wouldn't that mean the war should be over? Shouldn't he have their acceptance of defeat by now? But no...the odds of that happening were as slim as him asking a God of the sun for a passionate kiss. No...just no.
Antarmur'ss moment of peace faded away into a tense anxiety. he needed to talk...and he couldn't speak with Syn. He'd already talked enough to her lately. it was how he'd gained her support finally. Sighing, he shifted through the darkness to seek out Lukarius. he hesitated only a moment when he found him. With a mental shrug he detached himself from the shadows. "Lukarius. Am I intruding?"
"Intruding where one is welcome is not possible." Lukarius answered softly, raising his ever glowing eyes toward the god of Darkness. Here was a friend whom could pose to be his worst enemy, and yet it was that Luk hoped for more from this ever growing bond then blood and loosed souls.
"I see your eyes are yet to recover fully." He commented, smiling a little as he gestured toward is bed. "Come rest your head here then. I've not made any new soulings today, so I've no need to light my candles over them." Though he felt the ever present pull at the corner of his mind toward the oblivion that was his slumber, he had to play the polite host. At least for a little while.
"Your soul seems quite the pot of turmoil at the moment. You haven't come to confess your unending love and devotion to me, have you?" Luk teased, his smile breaking into a devious grin. "Oh, what will all the other gods think?"
The welcome into Lukarius room further coaxed Antarmur'ss from what little he still remained lurking. His tail swept the ground behind him as he slowly approached the Death God. He lifted one hand to lightly touch his covered eye where the mask did not touch. "The eyes are the windows to the soul, I believe is the saying. Unfortunately, my eyes are windows into darkness, and as a result when burned by light..." He shrugged his shoulders lightly. "I will recover soon enough. I am merely protecting them so their wounds will not disturb my followers. The Lady of the Fae seemed quite riled up by their sight."
Of course he did not refuse the offer to rest upon the bed. He knelt his knees on the bed and in a manner like a cat he stretched himself out. A soft snort of amusement came from him at the light teasing. "I think they will be envious. After all, have not the poets often compared the act of love with that of death?" His head turned a little to gaze in the direction of Lukarius. "I am rather preoccupied though. I have begun to wonder just how this war must end."
Luk gave Antarmur'ss a grin befitting of his playboy image, one he really had done nothing to gain, if one did not count his relentless but completely empty flirting. "It will end as it was always fated to end; in Darkness." Luk gave his head a bit of a tilt as he watched Antarmur'ss make himself at home. "It seems to me that you're doing wonderfully on your war, and I've gained quite a bit of pride in the battles of my followers. One in particular has pleased me quite well, and I mean to reward him well for it. So what is it that causes you unrest?"
Luk moved toward the other god, reaching to take a loch of Antar's hair and twirl it around his finger. "Don't tell me you're doubting your stance? I've never known this black soul of yours to waver." He teased, his eyes lowering from Antarmur'ss face to study the part of the god Luk could see most clearly, his black and purple soul. "But surely that is only my misinterpretation. I find it so hard to read that orb you've hidden inside your chest."
He could not help but make a soft hum of amusement. By now he had come to the conclusion that Lukarius was just a bit of a flirt. His intentions were not to seduce him into his bed...which oddly enough it seemed to be where he was right now. But it was far more of a platonic sense.
"Agreed. Our followers together make a very devastating force. I think the only real challenge they face comes from the Cursed themselves." His hand lifted and he made a small gesture with it. "I think this is the root of my frustration though. We are clearly winning. I have single handedly defeated both gods, a blessed, a demi, and two cursed generals." He paused and looked at his fingers while he ignored how Lukarius toyed with a lock of his hair.
"I have no doubts. I know I am powerful. What vexs me is that they persist. They will not win, in fact. They have already lost. Yet they still carry on with this war. Why haven't they admitted defeat and broken their alliance yet?" His head lifted to peer over Lukarius face as he seemed to be staring into him now. "If I demand they submit, they will only resist. if I ask, they will think they hold a stance of power. i will not bend knee and ask my defeated foes to put aside this war like I were the one who had lost."
"The body is known to live on in a comatose state long after the soul has cut itself from their bonds and departed." Lukarius replied as easily as he would breathe. "There is a stubborn streak inside them akin to the dying body abandoned by its essence. They do not yet know what to do, and are merely existing to exist because it is all they know. So it is with these other gods. While they know they are defeated, resisting your forces is all they know and all they have to cling to. It is a futile action, and will only harm them more in the long run due to the weakening of their forces."
Luk sat back to admire the other god a moment, his mind wandering a bit. "I do agree. It is said we are forces that compliment one another well. So it should be that our forces mesh together as well as two sides of a wound being stitched together. Perhaps we fit together better then either of us first anticipated." he said in amusement, giving Antarmur'ss a wink. "Can this be fate? Perhaps we shall have to announce our betrothal to all the world, and join together forever our hearts to only one another?"
Luk looked away for a bit after that, his chest tightening. He joked about it, but the joking had only brought to the surface a loneliness he felt quite deeply. The other gods mostly seemed to have no qualms with whome they begot offspring, nor whom their offspring begot capsules with, and indeed some saw it as the greatest way to strengthen their forces. Luk found it quite baffling that they would so willingly degrade their bloodlines with that of lesser beings.
"I do not see anything noble or intelligent in what they do, but I understand their need to continue on. They are lost, and they have no salvation in a sea of darkness. All they have will perish into oblivion. They are quite sad, really."
Antarmur'ss laid his head upon the bed with a single arm curled under his horn as he listened to Lukarius speak. While he spoke eloquently, Antarmur'ss found him easy to follow. He also made a great deal of sense. As he had not yet looked upon the situation in such a 'light'. How would he have reacted if his side had been the one to be losing? Were it the cursed he knew he'd fight until the last of his loyal followers was destroyed. but against the other gods? How much defeat would he have accepted before he'd call it all off?
Lukarius' flirting gained him a small quirk of his brow. He had come to the conclusion that it was merely in Lukarius nature to be a bit seductive. Though after their prior discussion, he felt the other had no true interest in creating that sort of relationship between them. Still...there was nothing wrong with a little playful banter. His tail arched up and he attempted to playfully flick Lukarius with the soft furred tip of his tail. "Ah. But then the world would weep for the loss of us Lukarius. Joined forever only to each other? I could just hear the weeping and wailing echoing through my city. Not to mention the sudden overwhelming influx of dispirited heartbroken souls pressing in upon you as pockettu after pockettu cast aside their lives. Our honeymoon would be utterly ruined by your work." He gently teased.
He chuckled softly before sobering. "So then. I suppose I must merely wait for their losses to accrue to such a point where their own followers suffering forces them to realize they have only fought themselves into a hole..." His head tilted some. "I could go and battle them again, to visit a second defeat upon them surely would weaken their position. However.... I wonder if that would be a step too far. I am already hated by them. I should probably avoid adding more depth to that hatred..."
"And what a honeymoon it would have been, but for my work ever calling me away." Luk answered in agreement. "I'd have to first figure out how to get you away from your hoards of lovers, and then I'd never be able to sleep again for fear they'd send daggers in the night to carve my soul from my chest. What fools these mortals be, to keep such star crossed lovers as us apart." He joked, shaking his head. He felt himself relaxing and his mood brightening the longer he was in the company of this god he'd aligned himself with.
"There is always a con to every pro you may find, Antarmur'ss. Should you give them the space to see how devastated their forces truly are, they may think you are hiding and that they have a foothold somewhere. However, you are correct that beating them again may merely flare their souls with rage and cause them further blindness to their positions as they sit now." Luk agreed, playfully batting at the other god's tail. It was odd, how right it felt to be relaxed with this god, though Luk could not figure out why.
While Lukarius batted at his tail, he continued a slow and rather playful twitches of the tip. "Oh woe is us. Denied such utter perfection as that which would be our union." He replied with laughter in his voice. He was notably at ease right now, even the levity of their conversation hardly seemed as depressing as he had felt it was before coming here.
"So then. I assume the real question is what problem would I rather deal with more. The blindness of deepening their rage, or the annoyance of their persistence." He took a moment to consider,t hen gave a reluctant sigh. "Persistence it is then. For at least at the end of it, they will have no choice but to rely on us to protect them from the Cursed. As it seems they will merely batter themselves to pieces. Like a ship upon the rocks of the shore. We will be their devastation, then their salvation when the cursed turn upon them. At least the bards will have plenty of fodder for our romantic stories hmm?"
Luk laughed, nodding. "I can see it now. A story of two gods and war, forever denied their rest in one another's arms as blood waters the fields by their reach." He shook his head and sighed. "Well, I will make certain they know I at least got you into my bed. That is certain to raise plenty of eyebrows."
Luk tilted his head, forgetting about Antarmur'ss tail as he looked over to study him. "The cursed are our true enemies, brother. No matter how we gods may bicker, it is in the end these beasts we must face. With every moment they work at destroying the souls inside our followers, and every breeding they twist the essence of the soul into a disease. Be them the followers of Death, or Darkness, or Hellhound, all will fall to this virus if we do not put a stop to their spread. Much as we all may not like it, some alliances must happen to protect all of the assets involved. They will open their eyes sooner or later, though they may suffer most horribly for their folly with these creatures."
It was quite amusing. Chuckling to himself, Antar rolled himself to his side and flopped his tail over his legs. Propping his head up by the arm he had lain upon earlier, he smiled faintly. "I am not certain if it is more of a bragging matter for you or I on that." He gently teased. Then sobered a little.
"Venezia and I touched on that topic during our battle. He stated that he was coming to understand them. I am of the opinion that he is too involved with them. If I did not know better I would swear that he has shared the bed of Morgana." His lip curled faintly in disgust. "I think Venezia is being corrupted, and I feel his followers will be only dragged down with him. I may have made something of a err though. As I stated that when he fell I would not welcome the Hellhound Goddess as a ally."
Luk smiled a bit, though it was more of an understanding smile then a smirk. "Pride is not a deadly sin without reason." He stated frankly. "We all error, even us gods. We have our own emotions to battle against, at times emotions often greater then those of our followers. We are beings that are use to getting our ways, and it is not without consequence to our ego." He looked down at his hands, studying his finger nails for a moment. "Though none can stand to our power but another god, it is sadly the others gods we are facing. Should we lose one of our...siblings, to the cursed, we will not enjoy the oncoming calamity. That is a truth without doubt."
Lukarius laid back, folding his arms behind his head so that he was looking up toward Antarmur'ss face. "I have not met any of them long enough to sit down and speak with them, nor have I fought them on the battle feild as you have. I can only assume they live up to their status as gods and battle with the ferocity of hell as we all would. That being the case, I would regret having to meet them once their souls are claimed by the cursed..."
Antarmur'ss nodded his head while looking down at Lukarius. "Undenied." He stated. "I am a man of ego, I am quite petty at times too." He saw no reason to argue that matter. "We are beings of great power and privlidge." His mood sobered a little more as he considered how bad it would turn out if Venezia did indeed become a cursed.
"It is best if you do not engage in battle. As I also prefer that the Fae Goddess does not engage herself either. This is a war of my own making at the core. It would not set well with me to have you or her battle on behalf of my arrogance." Antarmur'ss tilted his head some to peer at Lukarius. "But the support you both offer me is invaluable."
"A chance to get to tease the God of darkness on a daily schedule is quite the treat. Certainly I could never turn down an alliance for this." Luk teased, looking a bit thoughtful. "Were my forces higher in quantity to offer my city protection, I would be beside you in battle, Antarmur'ss. I am the lord of Death, after all. Would my skills not be best served out on the battle feild?" He smirked slightly, his eyes narrowing. "I can see the river of souls now, flowing rapidly to my crystals for sorting and rebirth. What a glorious days work it would be."
With a expression of continued amusement, Antarmur'ss casually flopped his tail at Lukarius, so it would lightly bat at his legs. "Tease indeed." He lightly murmured. He shifted his body, so he could lau on his back and peered up at the ceiling. Folding his hands across his chest he spoke thoughtfully. "It would not do well for your followers to see you fall in battle. You have very few right now. It might shake the faith of those who are new. Or discourage others who have been looking to you as their potential Lord.." He tilted his head so his blinded eyes could point in the direction of Lukarius.
"When you are stronger. When your followers number greater. I have no doubt we could reap a great bounty of enemies." His left hand lifted and he made a slight gesture with a finger. "You know...hidden within my domain is a mine of crystals. They sing when the wind blows through the tunnels. Perhaps you can visit it once the war is over."
Lukarius grinned at the other god, his expression one of great joy. "Truly? I wonder what properties they may hold." He mused curiously, looking toward the door of his room. "I was fortunate to find these crystals in the area I claimed as my realm. Were they not here, I am certain containing and sorting my spirits would be much more difficult. Though, a room full of jars can be quite a beautiful thing for those gifted with the sight to see souls."
He gave a pause, then glanced back toward the other god. "Tell me, Antarmur'ss. What plans do you have for I after this war has ceased? Shall we continue our alliance and reek havoc upon the world? Shall we bring forth a new era of fear into the world of pockettu?"
Antarmur'ss could hear the emotion in Lukarius voice when he mused over the crystals in his hidden mine. He had only shown it to one other thus far. It was ironic that he would be offering to show it to another person who also did not see things through their eyes. "Most merely vibrate when the wind touches them. it is that which causes them to sound like they ring. However, there are a few rare ones that glow as well. I have called up various crystals within my garden that emanate faint glowing lights of red, blue, green, and purple. Though I use my power over darkness to locate them, then move them through the earth to me."
The question of the future was a difficult one to answer. Which was perhaps why he had rambled on about the gems in his garden. His brows furrowed in thought. "To be honest, I had not given it much thought. You are a God after all. It is not my place to make plans for you, as if you were my child." He paused and could not resist the slight curl of his lips into a small teasing smile. "Perhaps a little brother, but no child for sure." His hand lifted again and he gently circled a upraised finger towards the ceiling. "I would enjoy continuing our alliance. Though fear is not the only thing I would wish to instill. There is much to be said for love and loyalty. Perhaps I shall open my mines. I could have my faithful harvest the crystals there, so they might bring them to your city in trade of some sort."
Luk gave his head a tilt, listening to the other god attentively. Like a little brother. Luk chuckled as he wondered what his realm had to offer in terms of trading, for while he had done his best to cover purgatory in his veil of safety, he certainly had not had enough free time to explore it. His jackals were useful for that, and little by little he had been making his way through the caverns before the war had started. Now, he rarely thought of the exploration of his caverns anymore.
"I would enjoy that greatly." Luk agreed, nodding. His were a resourceful groupd of followers. While he himself had no use for trades other then the crystals, he was certain his followers would welcome the possible economic stimulation. "I wish merely for the peace of rest, and for my followers and spirits to be given the same eternal slumber as I, once the time does come for all life to vanish from existence." He murmured, closing his eyes. "It is too bad that not all can see the beauty in nonexistence."
Antarmur'ss chuckled softly. "Ah. I think you would grow bored Lukarius. You are the God of Death. if things got to a point where there was no more death...I think you would find yourself filled with sorrow. You are not a god of Oblivion after all." He pointed out before forcing himself to push up into a sitting position.
"I would be frustrated if all was naught but Darkness. It is true that for a while I would be quite ecstatic over my complete control. In the end, without other things to change and distract me. I am certain I would come to loath my superiority. However, I think that is enough future speaking for now. We have the present, all full of activity and possibilities to uncover."
Luk nodded, blinking his eyes slowly. "Indeed. There is much to discuss for both the future and the present." He lay in silence for a moment, almost imagining for a time that this was his slumber once more. The cold and silence were lovely, but for the soul glowing beside him, he could have slept then and there.
"There are many other gods. Many other possible loose ends from which your enemies might take forces and supplies. Have you spoken with them as of yet?" Luk questioned curiously. He doubted Antarmur'ss had contacted the gods whom were good in their rule, but it was a curious point in his mind. Lukarius being a neutral being, he did not pass judgement on one before their reaping day, and instead enjoyed both their evil and their good.
So very much indeed, the Dark god mentally agreed with Lukarius. As he sat on the bed, he began to toy with a lock of his own hair. He wove it in and out around a finger, though paused when Luk asked him of the others. "I have not. Though I have met Syrridan, I have gotten the distinct feeling that it will take force to get him involved in the war. While I could arrange for it to seem like one of his followers have been attacked by venezia, or a cursed, I have decided that such cloak and dagger tactics are too obvious. It would almost be expected of me, and I really don't want to upset the God of Love." Antarmur'ss twitched his lips upwards into a smirk of a smile. "I think it would impact my harem's future growth." The smile died then as he considered the other Gods.
"The Lady Syn is taking it into her own hands to speak with the Harvest Goddess. I am content to let the ladies chat. I don't think I'd like her that much. her very domain thrives in the existence of light.. As for Tyche..."
Antarmur'ss turned to face Lukarius and he spoke rather bluntly. "He gives me the creeps."
Lukarius broke out in laughter, this being the first time he really let himself relax enough to enjoy Antarmur'ss company to this point. He rubbed at his eyes, blinking one open to look up at Antarmur'ss in amusement. "The creeps, you say? Surely your jest. I thought it was not the darkness one should fear, but that which is in it. How can the God of such a fearsome domain get the creeps from any other being?" He teased, lowering his hand with a smile.
"I have not met many gods yet outside of you, and ours was merely a chance meeting. Had the tunnels bypassed one another, I feel we may not be here as we are now." He admitted. Luk sighed, his breath coming out as a puff of amusement. "Maybe once this war is done, and I know my purgatory is safe, i will have to venture forth and make the acquaintances of these chitter chatting woman and creeping lords."
"Oh yes. Go on. Laugh." Antarmur'ss responded with a mock pout and false sulk to his voice. "You clearly have not caught the glimpses of him that I have. He looks like he was made of that jell-o substance the humans eat." He gives a full body shudder that even makes his tentacles curl.
After that moment though, he sobers up a little. but only a little. "He is very strange. Eerie. Unlike the other gods he just seems too..alien." With a small flick of his tail he shifted himself to the edge of the bed. "I do agree however. If our chance meeting had not occurred it would be quite likely I'd have taken different measures to try and gain your support....and if you wish I could always introduce you to Syn. I would warn you to be careful with your compliments. If you give her too many she is likely to stab you with her very clever tongue."
"Jello huh? Perhaps I shall have to bring a rather large spoon with me when i meet him, so that I might eat him right up." Luk laughed, though the amusement seemed slightly off. He was thinking again, and wondering about things Death aught not think of. Even the God of Darkness had pockettu whom loved him, but Luk wasn't looking for a harem of pockettu. Even just that one person, the one who understood what it was like...He sighed.
"Now where is the fun in a woman who doesn't take a compliment well?" Luk scoffed, looking like a bored teenage boy as he pouted up at Antarmur'ss. "Where is the adventure? Where is the romance? Aren't there any interesting gods up there I don't know yet? Someone thrilling, and fun? With a beautiful soul you could just spend hours staring into..?" He looked away again, his eyes narrowing. Why wasnt there someone made for him?
"That would undoubtedly be your last act as a God my dear Lukarius." Antarmur'ss replied with a flippant gesture of his tail. "Have you seen the mouth on his belly? I would be willing to bet the souls of my children he'd snap you up like one of those carnivorousness plants. Yes...exactly like that. He lures you in looking all wobbly sweet and enticing, then is the one to gobble you up. So you float in that warm goo and dissolve into nothing." Actually his joke was making him feel a little queasy. Antar was more then eager to jump the discussion to that of romance and fun. "Oh. Poor dear Lukarius." He murmured as he twisted about on the bed into a mimic of a coy pose. "Aren't I thrilling and fun? Couldn't you just stare into my soul for hours? Pondering what depths are hidden in this darkness? Aren't I adventurous enough for you? I could be so very romantic." Antarmur'ss paused then and placed three silver clawed fingertips to his forehead as he suddenly turned away. "Alas! But you are like a brother to me. So I guess this truly can never be. We are back to mourning our forsaken love."
Antarmur'ss dropped his hand from his forehead then with a soft chuckle. "I could always introduce you to Syrridan, though i suspect I know what he'd say to you Lukraius. Do not long or seek out your hearts desire. Because when you are so busy looking, you will find yourself overlooking it. We are immortal beings. In time the one you want will rise, and then all the days you have spent searching will seem as if nothing but minutes past." Antar turned his head then and glanced at Lukarius. "In the mean time, you can always find a follower or two to enjoy. In whatever manner your willing to let yourself. though now that we speak of followers...I feel I ought to return to my chamber so I might watch over my prized ones. I want to make certain no vindictive follower of the clown or hellbeast manages to corner them."
"I'll have none but the one that can capture my soul into their embrace." Lukarius murmured softly, though he listened and took in all that Antarmur'ss said to him. But while Luk never truthfully had looked even a day in his life, he still longed. He felt the lone nights stretching ahead of him, an immortal among mortals. Even if he were to find someone, what would he do if they were a mortal? Would he even be able to enjoy the prosperous life of a god once they had died? For as much as he was the god of death, he would never trap a soul into a rotting body for his own means, nor could he reincarnate a soul into the same being they were before death.
"I understand. I have taken much of your time as it is, and I thank you for visiting me." He gave the other god a nod, as if to becon him goodbye. "My jackals will ever be watching over you, Antarmur'ss. Be at home, and watch yours well in their trying times."
Antarmur'ss neither scoffed or laughed at Lukaruis desire to have only a single lover. he was well aware that there were some gods and goddesses that didn't want a harem as he did. It was their preference. One could not force another to take on companionship if they did not feel the draw of it. Antar did not stand from his position on the bed when he left the room. he merely faded into the shadowy darkness surrounding him.
"Nonsense Lukarius. I enjoy our time together. It is...refreshing." He murmured in parting words before drifting back to the hiding spot granted him by the Death God.
Lukarius smiled a bit, closing his eyes to welcome the silence and darkness again. "Only because I'm not afraid of telling you how I feel. Nevermind your own thoughts." He said softly to the other god after he'd faded. He rolled over and cuddled his pillow close to his chest, sighing as he let his mind wander outside his body to follow one of his followers in jackal form.

Antar:. . . *FLops on Luk and sniffles* My fairy queen! I never even got to have my babies with her yet!
Luk: *patting his back* This is why we must never wait with what we want. Always take pleasures first brother, lesson learned?
*Leans against Luk and sniffs sadly* We have tried, but we had no real luck yet. *Snuggles Luk and sighs* It's not fair. She was a wonderful ally. Now I have to make all her servants leave my lands.
*huggles with his bro and gently persuades Antar to lay back on his bed* Now now...you can always let me collect their souls and make you some lovely mementos. Or, we can always go and collect her soul... my fingers have been itching to mold such wonders as God souls into new bodies.. *pets Antar's hair fondly* Either would be lovely on your arms, dearest brother..
*Allows Lukarius to lay him down on the bed and closes his eyes* I suppose that is the best idea Lukarius. But..Synraehl is so special. I wouldn't want to risk something happening to her. Perhaps if you practiced on another god.Like Venezia. He's surely tainted. *He glances at his hands and smiles awkwardly* On my arms..would be nice..but I'd rather have her in my arms Lukarius. Your soul stones are beautiful, but lack the warmth of a body...
*tilts his head, watching Antar* Mmm...but the body of my Reapers are warm as the living, and soft as the newly born. Though they are made of my grave soil molds, they too shall bleed when cut. Does this not simulate the life any could have and would have in a mortal flesh and blood body?
*He considers what Luk is saying, but then just looks up at him with a miserable expression* But you do not know if she'd be the same. Would you risk it with her if she was the one that you were involved in Luk?
*glances away, silent for a long while* If it meant I would have her still, I'd carve her body from my crystals with the very fingers of my hands...and if they gave way, then the bone that remained. I'd never stop, until her body were complete, or there were none of me that remained to love her... But I am a jealous, selfish God. My one will be my one. Not life, nor death, nor cursed disease shall remove her soul from my arms once she is mine...even if I have to fly into the depth of the void itself, I will not be without her... *He trails his fingers over Antar's jawline as he turns his glowing eyes to his brother again, though they seemed dimmer...sadder, somehow* Would that it were possible, I would take her place Antar...that you would never have to suffer such heartache as this...
*He listens and is hardly surprised by the level of desire that Lukaris reveals. Still, he does not move from his place. Even when his misery is shaken by a momentary look of surprise. Antarmur'ss reached up his hand to try and capture Lukari's fingers when they reach the edge of his jawline. "Lukarius. You are the one I trust more then any other. You are the only one I can turn to when I am weak and vulnerable. I know you will never betray me or use my weakness to your own advantage. I pray that you one day find the one you long for, but I also fear that day. For I know then I will never be able to compare to that person, and I will lose a part of you."
Lukarius smiles with a look of longing as his hand is caught and held. "If such a day ever comes brother, that I find a mate whom completes me so fully that my eyes never again seek the mystery that is the living death of your soul, when my fingers never again trace this profile and my ears long not again for the sweet agony of your laughter, then perhaps brother, I will truly not be myself ever again in this world." He whispered, before he lent closer to place a chaste kiss against Antarmur'ss forehead. "A brother such as you, is not something that is lost to the past when new loves come calling."
*To this, the Dark god gave a bitter sort of laugh. Soft and short, he reached up with his other free hand to cup Lukarius cheek when the other god kissed his forehead so chaste like. He lifted his own horned head in an attempt to press his forehead to the others.* Ah Lukarius. You are a good brother. *Taking a moment to smile, he released the other and closed his eyes* You know, together we could have been lovers the likes of which this world would never have seen. But I fear my love for you would be more toxic then the disease of the cursed. You are going to be singularly devoted. A true prize of a god, and me..well..I am quite the whore dear brother."
Lukarius chuckled softly. "I fear...such a partnership would have been quite disastrous." Luk laid down beside Antar, nuzzling his face into Antar's neck. "What am I to do, my brother? How can I help stop your soul from its agony, it's painful calling...Brother, I wish I could heal your being, but I am no healer of the living...Help me help you...tell me how to help you..."
*With Luk beside him, he was quiet for a few moments. His answer came then, very soft. Like the shadow of a whisper.* Just hold me Lukarius. Just for a bit, until this tightness goes away from my chest. I feel Sorrow over the loss of Syn and what we might have had. For the children we would have created. For the alliance that once was, but now can not be. I wished to protect her and I failed. It is a blow to my pride, and I am not used to such things. It is a bitter reality."
Lukarius nodded and wrapped his arms around Antarmur'ss tighter, his eyes burning with unnatural tears burning their way from his eyes. "I am sorry, Antar..." He whispered sadly.
