Day two also a failure, so Xenosa was hoping that this day three was going to prove to be far more rewarding than the others. She quietly suspected that she would have to try her luck five times before she finally got a win. She didn’t know why this number, “five”, seemed to plague her. Nor did she understand why the number seemed to have some sort of unknown significance in her life. Xenosa planned to return to Daesat and explain this to her, maybe she’d stop being on her back about training all the darn time. In any case, Xenosa headed out early that morning, he had a plan and wanted to try it out.
The morning began by climbing up a mountain, Xenosa’s plan was simple. She was going to hide and see if she could see a pattern in the flights of the Ayrala clan she’d been stalking for the time she was on Ayr. Once she knew she could figure out when the next dragon would pass by, she would launch herself off the cliff to land on its back. The plan would have been a great one of course, if Xenosa wasn’t scared out of her wits… If she missed it would be a very long way down to the ground below.
But in the end, Xenosa did launch herself off the cliffs edge and did land on the back of the Ayrala. Daggers plunged into the back of the beast. However, what she had not planned for was the dragon being unable to fly with the extra weight and both went down slowly until they crashed into the ground. On touch down, Xen was still on the dragons back. As it shook itself to get rid of the Orderite, her daggers came loose from the flesh and Xenosa was sent flying off. The dragon took off, and Xenosa yelled at it.
