>>Step 1: Capture
Rolled a 97 - 10 + 5 = 92
Success.
Araceli stalked a Fekarat for the second time. This time she was calmer, less noiser. She watched the creature lurk around the forest, not making a move to capture it yet. She let out a frustrated sigh as the creature leapt up into the trees and laid on a branch, content to waste away it’s day doing nothing but lounging around. Araceli decided she would wait it out. She sat down on the forest floor and leaned her back against the trunk of a tree. She was hidden well enough that the Fekarat wouldn’t see her unless it came right up to her.
She watched the creature doze for what seemed like hours as her eyes became heavy and started to drift shut. No wonder the Fekarat was sleeping. Laying around, doing nothing sure did make a person sleepy. She smothered a yan with her hand and leaned her head back against the trunk, eyes fluttering shut. It didn’t take long for her to start snoring.
Araceli’s fingers twitched as something wet and cold made contact with them. She opened her eyes a fraction of an inch and saw the Fekarat from earlier sniffing at her hand. She held her breath and stayed still, afraid that at any movement would cause the creature to scurry off, back into it’s tree.
She waited until it had lost interest and turned it’s back. In the next instant her eyes shot fully open and she pounced on the Fekarat. The creative gave a startled squeak as it tried to wiggle it’s way out from under Ara’s body. She kept her hold on the creature until it finally wore down.
