It had taken some time to get this game's details fully worked out. Scoring had been a bit tricky. Then she had to wait until she could find all the things she needed for it. That had been hard, but worth it. The leopardess looked proudly down at the five fruits laid out on a leaf before her. Everything was finally ready and the game could begin!
Yathy had gotten several sturdy members to get low tables set up in an open field, and several more to act sort of as waiters to ensure each participant got the leaf. Rather than waiting for folks to just happen across the game she convinced a crier to go out around the pride and let them know. She waited eagerly for those brave or silly enough to come; there also had to be a crowd to cheer them on.
"Welcome Celebrants and Rogues!" She called out as they started to gather. "Come test your might against my pucker fruits and be crowned champion of the Pucker Games!" A laugh burbled in her throat. "It's really quite simple. You'll eat the fruits one at a time from left to right, but you have to keep a straight face! On your marks! Get set! Go!"
OOC and Prize
Yathy has come up with another silly game. This time involving fruits with different levels of sour. Your SoA needs to eat the fruits and try to keep as straight a face as possible. They can do anything with their body except touch any part of their heads. This is open to pride members and passing rogues!
Fruits- 1- very mild sour 2- it'll put a small pucker in your lips 3- definitely feeling the sour now 4- quite sour 5- sweet coated, toe curling sour (your face might freeze like that 0.0 )
Dice- roll 1d10 for each berry 1- stone face 2 3 4 5- is it natural for half your face to be like that? 6 7 8 9 10- Pucker Face!!!!
The Prize- For completing all 5 required rolls(fruits) and accompanying rps you earn an OOCarrot! They can be cashed in for extra raffle tickets and other benefits.

Darnell had come back to the pride for a quick break and a rest. Most of his time was spent out in the roguelands searching for new party-goers to lure back to the pride for fun and games. While resting a cheerful leopardess had cornered him. He had listened to her plan with intrigue. After several minutes he had agreed to do as she asked. He was a Crier after all. Being home gave him the excuse to watching the game too.
"Game In The Meadow! Entertainer Yathy Challenges All To The Pucker Games! Enter Yourself! Cheer Your Friends Or Simply Laugh At The Faces They'll Make!" He knew how to make himself seen and heard. The green cheetah leapt to a vantage point to make himself heard. All he had to do was get the word out there. The rest would spread. Darnell moved himself around the pride's grounds calling his news to each group he came upon.
"Pucker Games In The Meadow!" He looked around. About time for things to start. Casually he strolled off toward the meadow. Maybe he'd give it a try too.

Jala had been excited to come see Sikukuu for himself. He'd heard rumors about the party pride, but had finally met a crier not long ago. With proper directions to the pride, he'd raced across the savannah to join the fun. He hadn't been disappointed! It didn't seem like there was any specific celebration going on just now, but apparently things were always happening. Vendor stalls were set up regularly, some with permanent spots along a row of trees. He'd browsed the wares and bought himself a long piece of fabric to tie somewhere. For now, it was looped around his neck. But when an adult cheetah began calling everyone to a game, he was there!
It wasn't long before he was in line, eyeing the fruits. Now, normally he wasn't the sort of cheetah who liked non-meat food, but this wasn't for nutrition after all! It was a sort of dare, and dares he was good at! Thus when it was his turn at the first fruit, he bit down with gusto. Ooooooh my!

Paean grinned like a fox as the leaf was put down in front of him. He wasn't one to say no to a new kind of game. This was going to be fun! He was sure he'd be able to keep a straight face, and if not... Well, as long as it made someone laugh! A young cheetah had already started and he made a very interesting face as he bit into the first fruit. Paen didn't want to look like he was scared of the colourful fruits so he decided to tackle the challenge sooner rather than later. If he turned up poisoned he was sure his sister would first yell at him and then fix him. That's what family was for...
"Well, pucker up then!" he said and laughed at his own joke before gobbling up the first fruit. It had a bit of zing to it, but perhaps if he chewed and swallowed really quickly...

The older leopardess was cackling as she hurried to the site of the new game, her grinning skull mask firmly in place. Oh, she still got plenty of wary, sideways looks, but she was used to that, and didn't bother to be troubled by them. She was happy here in Sikukuu, and knew that no harm would come to here, regardless of how some folks looked at her. She waved a friendly paw at the Crier who had announced the game, then skittered, not into line, but behind the row of tables.
She positioned herself well behind the helpful waiters, expression eager and excited. Ah, the faces these creatures would make! The inspiration for masks would be priceless! She settled herself down and leaned forward, eyes wide behind the eye sockets of her mask. Bone charms rattled from her wrist as she kneaded the ground beneath her paws happily. Oh, who would make the strangest face first?
Kahawia was running to the site of the games, the Pucker Games! He had heard of this for a while now, random chatter here and there. He ran as fast as he could to the Sikikuu lands., hoping he wouldn't miss the games, he wanted to participate! seeing all the lions, leopards,and cheetahs around a place, cheering and laughing, he knew he had hit the spot. He ran up to a table, panting and trying to catch his breath. He saw a lon dig into the first fruit layed out, and Kahawia decided to join in the fun already! He gobbled up the first fruit, yes, it wasn't too bad, but still sour, maybe he should swallow already!

Paean managed to keep his face mostly straight, but the side of his face twitched a bit as he swallowed. Not too bad actually! So far the young cheetah and another lion had braved the fruit, and he wanted to encourage those that had yet to try the first one. They might be waiting to see how the first few fared before trying their own fruit line up.
"It's not too bad actually," he announced, "You should try!"
It wasn't a speed contest, but he figured he better continue with the next fruit. The sour fruits wouldn't go anywhere, and the sooner he ate them the sooner he could sit back and enjoy the faces other people made. His eyes fell on a leopardess with a creepy bone mask sitting opposite him, behind the helpers that had been recruited to help with the fruit. Was she staring at him? Eh, probably not.
He picked up the next fruit and held it between two claws. It looked so red and delicious, but he suspected it would be sour. With a shrug he dropped it in his mouth and started chewing. Yeah, this one wasn't as mellow as the first.

Jala's eyes squinted a little, and his tongue curled. Oooh, that was sour! Meat never tasted like this, that's for certain! For half a moment, a muscle in his cheek twitched, but then everything relaxed again. Hmm. Well, it certainly was different! He wasn't entirely sure this was going to turn him onto eating fruits, but you never know... there was actually some sweetness to it as well. What an odd combination!
Time to try the next one. He waited momentarily to see how the lion beside him would do. The older male's reaction was stronger this time, and the teenage cheetah's whiskers swept back in consternation. Well, it would make sense that the fruit would get more sour as they went along. He eyed his own second fruit warily. It looked so small and innocent! Taking a deep breath, he plunged in, scooping it into his mouth and biting down with determination, braced for whatever came next.
A leopardess with a bone mask waved to him and Darnell grinned back. He stood there as several others showed up. Some waited by the sidelines and watched, while others went up to the tables. Darnell decided that it was no fun being an observer. He pranced his way over to an open spot and looked down at the weird fruits placed before him. Just looking at them and he already wanted to pucker. Something told him he'd never puckered like this before.
Left to right was it? The green cheetah rolled the first fruit to the side and licked it up with his tongue. When he bit into the flesh the tart juice rolled over his tongue. He could feel it curling up in his mouth and quickly swallowed the fruit. That was just the first one? He thought as his eye twitched. It had to be the anticipation that made it worse.
She wanted to clap her paws together as lions and cheetahs and leopards started showing up. It didn't take long for the first arrivals to find a seat and start eating. Yathy giggled at some of the faces. She glanced toward the crowd. Were they enjoying the faces as much as she was? Just wait until they got further along.

Kahawia smiled again and looked at the next fruit. It sure did look good, though it was likely pretty sour. He ate the next fruit...yikes, it was sour, though not as bad as he thought it would be, he swallowed, and looked at the others faces.

Euuurgh... Ok, that was more than just a twitch. Paean took some time to compose his features and resisted the urge to stick his tongue out. But despite the face he'd made there he wasn't about to quit!
"Just getting warmed up," he said cheerfully, "How about you guys?"
Both the green lion and the young cheetah had just swallowed the second fruit without as much as a twitch. Impressive! He eyeballed the third fruit. Right, he had to keep it together and finish this! He attacked the third fruit. Nope... Not getting used to the sour... This one was even more intense than the previous two.
Kahawia smiled at the brown lion "Yea, its not too bad! Yet anyways!" Kahawia smiled again as he ate up that third fruit. Yikes, this one had a zing! But not as bad as he had thought it would be.
The first one wasn't too bad though he did react badly to it. Now he was ready for the second one. A lion a couple seats down boasted to the crowd and Darnell snickered. It didn't bother him that others were further along than he was.
"I just started and that first one made my lips curl. Don't know how I'd be able to keep a straight face on any of the others." He laughed at himself. The lion had boldly eaten the third fruit. The fruits weren't going anywhere while he was sitting here. The green cheetah took a deep breath and devoured the second fruit. It made his mouth pucker just like the first.
Kahawia decided to tackle the next fruit, he hoped it would be like the others, where it wasn't too bad, he ate it, and....again, it wasn't so bad! He actually was starting to enjoy the sour taste of the fruits, it was a nice change from meat.
