Opps. Roll dice!
Kadryn felt sore after her last battle, the cold and the blows were starting to hurt now that she didn’t have adrenaline rushing through her veins. She found the cave the dragons had been using and set up her brazier in there to warm herself as she patched her wounds and the tears in the clothes. Good thing I didn’t wear my nice new clothes for this! She thought smiling. She then heard an eerie call, which was then echoed by others as the sound washed across the snowy plains. She quickly put on her patched clothes and grabbed her mace and went to the entrance to look out. She spotted a group of large canine like creatures chasing a person who was running away. Unfurling her wings she hurtled out towards them as the eerie call echoed once more. She reached the person at the same time as the pack of beasts did. Landing with a roar of her own, Kadryn lashed out with her mace to hit the leading animal upon its muzzle and force it away from the person. She stood over the figure as they lay there gasping and swung her mace at any of the shaggy creatures that got too close. She’d have charged in and lay waste to them, but she was certain that these large animals with their strong looking jaws and legs could probably drag the person away. So instead she danced in a circle, using her wings and mace to keep them off and killing them when she had too. They person, who she had yet to get a good look at, pulled out a bow and arrows and began to shoot from his prone position. Kadryn heard and felt the arrows fly out and hit a target most of the time. Finally, after quite a few lay dead, another of those eerie howls echoed out, this time with an anger tone to it and the animals pulled off the attack, vanishing in to the snow. Kadryn turned to look at the person she had saved and saw an Oblivionite male about her age dropping his bow and pulling out some bandages to wrap up a bite wound.
