The past events over the last few weeks confused Kadryn. She wasn’t sure she was happy about some of it, but on the other hand… the leaders had at least gotten together and worked in peace for a little while… maybe there was hope that the war would never start… She sighed and looked in on her brother sleeping. Her parents had approached her and talked about her moving out. They didn’t want her too, she would always be their daughter and they did love her, but they wanted another child and their house only had so much room. It is about time I get my own place, she thought. I am an adult now and I can’t keep mooching off my parents like this… but where would I want to live? Definitely not Ashen city, too many people, too much noise, not enough wilderness! I’d like to live here in Hot Springs Village, but maybe I should go out and see if I can find somewhere else... who knows maybe I’ll run across a nice secluded home in the wilderness somewhere that I’ll fall in love with and stay! She chuckled to herself as she let herself out into the brisk morning air. Silliness, to think she’d find a house in the wilds. She’d have to make one most likely! She’d think on it later. Right now she was headed back to Aisko, the land of snow and ice. She had her father’s old fur clothes in addition to some new thick fur boots she’d bought yesterday. They matched the outfit she’d gotten when shopping with Eanah, were warm, comfortable, and fit. Striding towards the docks, she smiled and waved good morning to her uncle who was just opening the café so he could start the baking early. He grinned and waved back. They had a good relationship; her uncle understood her problems with being in civilized and the berserk rages, and she knew he’d always be there to talk to now. If only she’d gone to him sooner when she’d been having trouble, she might to have caused her parents so much heart ache... oh well. What was done was done. Kadryn turned back to the docks and smiled in anticipation of the coming hunts.

The icy trip there was nothing compared to the cold once she had left the confines of the dock and headed inland. She looked out over the snow and ice and smiled. Here she could think n peace, or escape the troubles of civilization for a while. The silence, the bareness of the snow, the danger of this land all calmed and soothed her. But she was here to do more than think; she was here to dye the snow red with some blood. Unfurling her large wings, she took to the skies to hunt down her quarry. She swooped over the land, her eyes peeled for that hint of pale blue that gave the Aiskala dragons away in this white wonderland. She herself was wearing a white fur poncho and leggings, though her dark grey wings did give her away when they were out. She finally spotted two Dragons circling each other. I only wanted one, but since I was able to fight two last time; I should be able to do it again, she thought. She grinned and pulled out her mace and dived down towards them.
Her first attack they never saw coming and it killed the first before it could even see her. It had no time to cry out either as her mace slammed down into his head, shattering the skull and destroying the brain in a shower of bright red that stained the pure snow beneath it. The second dragon roared its anger and charged Kadryn, smashing into her and biting down on where her wing had been before she’d furled them back into her back. This dragon lasted much longer; they fought back and forth for an hour. Kadryn dodging or taking it’s icy breath head on as she laughed her way through the battle, enjoying the thrill of danger of chance of death. The Dragon snarling and bleeding from the many blows Kadryn’s spiked mace had inflicted. Kadryn eventually managed to smash this dragon’s head in as well. And she smiled as she bent down to claim her two new orbs.
