Hello everyone! Thank you very much for joining this event. Tonight will be an interesting night for certain!

This event will proceed in the same manner as a group RP - I want everyone to have the opportunity to post before I move along with my side of things. Here are a few details I would like to point out, and you may seize upon to enrich your RP experience here:

- I would like for the two player-owned civilians followed by Carnelian's player to post first. Given their unique position, I would like them to establish themselves before the fun begins.
- The captain in this RP is completely disposable; do with him as you see fit.
- Feel free to elaborate on your own captures!

Once again, thank you for signing up and have some fun!

Bischofite will present the rules of his arrangement once some order characters show up via a set of spraypainted signs directing their attention to the rooftop. However, it's definitely fine for them to just sense some chaos signatures nearby!

The wind clawed and scraped and howled through the city with the unfettered fury of a wild animal. Thunder sprawled in its wake. Seething swaths of rain drenched the buildings without remorse. The storm reached its climax, and despite its virulent rage, a handful of figures remained steadfast. They weathered the storm's ancient insults and remained entrenched in their own minute activities, be it something as meager as survival or something as pretentious as unraveling the secrets of humanity. Whatever their reasons, they withstood the ruthless onslaught of nature.

Perched atop the roof of a towering building, Bischofite scanned the horizons for some sign of the appointed senshi. Nothing. Not a trace, not a blip, not a pulse. "I can't rely on anyone, now can I?" He asked himself rhetorically.

He checked the bloodied pocket watch he'd stolen from an earlier victim: 12:36. 36 minutes late. So much for turning the dawn of a new day into the dusk of a few lives.

Finally he conjured his crystal communicator and radioed his woefully late comrade. "Captain Crystallite, you are supposed to impress me wis' your abilities. You are supposed to wow me wis' your cunning and skill. You are supposed to make me proud. I don't sink you quite..." He trailed off and clicked his tongue thoughtfully. "Grasp ze importance of your duties here. Let me explain zem to you."

A crackling, static-ridden voice petered out from the crystal. "Sir, I've almost got-"

Irrelevant.

"What we're doing here is groundbreaking. We are doing what many cannot - we are testing ze limits of morality, and testing how humanity adapts to cope wis' a loss of morals. We are testing zese senshi's reactions when under duress. When lives are at stake. Innocent lives. Zat's why I picked you - because you said you didn't care about innocent lives." He paused, anticipating some form of rebuke.

His suspicions proved correct. The boy on the other line retaliated harshly. "I know, I know, I get it already! The importance of humanity, blah blah blah... I've heard you say it like, three times! I know what I'm supposed to do, alright? But with this stupid storm, it's hard to find anyone on the streets! What do you expect me to do, break into people's houses?! I'm not gonna do that! I'll get gunned down or something! I'm not ready to die just for kidnapping some stupid kid out of their cradle! Damn man, quit riding my a** about it!"

In the midst of the other captain's tantrum, Bischofite tossed the crystal communicator behind him. It clacked across the rooftop tiles unceremoniously before skittering to a stop in front of a small garden area. Despite its new distance from its owner, the crystal blared with seething rage. It seems captain Crystallite strongly objected to being reminded of his duties. Too bad; he was forty minutes late and counting. Did the blue-haired captain honestly expect for senshi to meander on by while Bischofite awaited his delivery at the rooftop of a prominent building?

When the cacophony emanating from the crystal died down, Bischofite reluctantly stood and crossed the distance (albeit painfully) to retrieve the object. "Captain. Eizer you bring me two civilians of your choosing or I'll borrow from your family instead. I asked your real name for a reason, and you were dumb enough to gif' it to me."

Silence strained over the comm link. Finally the boy at the other end uttered a markedly hesitant reply. "... I'll find them as soon as I can."

"Perfekt." Bischofite paused for several moments. It was time to check on his other partner for the evening, someone notably more capable than the frazzled captain Crystallite. "Carnelian, can you hear me? It's almost time for our little surprise. Ze senshi will be arriving soon; I need you to meet me at our discussed location. Crystallite will visit us shortly; I sink you will appreciate what he brings to ze occasion." On the other hand, he might find it highly repulsive.

How exciting.

[Apologies again for the hold up - if anything needs to be changed, just let me know!]

Krishna Dhawan had initially ignored the Captain when he saw him approaching. That was his usual reaction to seeing another Negaverse officer even when he wore his own gold-and-green uniform. He only approached when he had to do so, when there were enemies to fight or a project to be done. If anything, he felt it odd that the other officer was being this brazen. The florist was returning home from a late-night run - but half past midnight was not al that late in Destiny City.

The attack had been unprovoked and unpleasant. Without warning, and in clear violation of every order he had come to understand as Lieutenant Serpentine, a fist swung directly for his face. He dodged and protected as best he could, but without reverting into his uniform and the dark powers that came with it... what chance did he have? All of the struggling had not prevented him from being dragged to his current place--which featured another Captain.

Blood coated the soccer player's mouth, and he took pride n knowing that not a drop of it was his own. The indignities he suffered this night would not go unavenged. The bite he had given Crystallite was only the beginning. Krishna glared at his captors and hissed two simple words, "Big. Mistake."

Carnelian would have cursed at the night air had he been the type to use foul language. He didn't really want to be out this late but when a Negaverse officers required assistance, senshi were expected to obey with a smile on his face.

Sure, he'd obey, but Carnelian would much rather have spent the evening with his fiancee.

With a sigh, the corrupted Super had leaped his way across Destiny City to the appointed location and when landing, took the time to tidy himself up. Bischofite was the Captain's name and they'd only met in passing. He was German, Carnelian remembered that much of his accent. Once his coat and hair were acceptable, the senshi sought out the Captain. "I'm here like you requested, sir." he started, red heels clicking against the rooftop. The senshi turned when he'd heard a noise, eyes laying on a bloodied civilian.

Thud was the sound of his heart sinking into his stomach.

In righteous indignation did he turn to the Captain, eyes flaring like the red of his hair. "Nobody said anything about harming civilians! I hurt White Mooners, not civilians. They're innocent people, Bischofite! We're here to protect them, not beat them into bloody pulps!"

How in the hell was he supposed to kidnap someone? It seemed so... insincere.

Faced with a deep-toned stranger, one that ignored him so easily, he was left to ponder his approach. Even as he walked toward the man, he seemingly didn't care. Was that normal? Did most people ignore approaching Negaverse agents? Crystallite didn't think so; every time he hailed a stranger, he was greeted with fear or malice. Then again, what did he expect? As a lieutenant, he spent the majority of his time draining energy in a desperate attempt to fill his quota. But to see a civilian so dismissive of his presence...

Why, it almost burned him up inside.

He needn't share any words. This minute encounter warranted few verbal assaults; instead, he opened their meeting with a fist to the face. However, he did't expect the civilian to know how to fight, so the ensuing struggle proved both humiliating and difficult. Even as an agent of the Negaverse, a captain no less, he struggled with completing such a simple task. Here he was, locked in the midst of battle with an apparently Eastern man, and...

Did he just bite Crystallite's hand?!

Needless to say, that encounter ended swiftly.

To say that Crystallite followed orders would be an understatement. At the threat of his family, he understood the urgency in pleasing the other captain, and thus he returned with more civilians than he asked for. The teleportation helped; without it, Cystallite hadn't an inkling of an idea how he'd carry three civilians to an abandoned skate park toward the outer limits of the city. Though he spared himself the physical exhaustion of carrying such a heavy load, his mind suffered with exhaustion after such a large expenditure of energy.

Yet there he was, faced with both the captain and the corrupted senshi who would meet them at the appointed hour. Perhaps he would've waved, but between the bloody, burning pain in his hand and the growing tiredness, he found it too difficult a feat. Instead he merely nodded toward the senshi and continued cradling his injured hand, all the while pinning one of the more unruly civilians to the floor. Needless to say, Crystallite had to juggle his tasks.

Bischofite began his warm welcome to Carnelian, but his attention was promptly stolen by the utterance from one of their captives. He leaned over and craned his neck toward the interrupting victim. He set his golden gaze upon the boy, filled with excitement and wonder, yet his words belied his misanthropic tendencies. "Cute. You found a rowdy one. Zis will be interesting indeed." Were it not for pressing matters, he might've entertained the beleaguered boy with a few choice actions.

He would make a great youma.

"My apologies, Carnelian." Bischofite straightened up and clapped his hands together. Once more he directed a more stoic countenance toward his partner for the night. "I would'f' greeted you wis' more formality, but our guests are just so interesting." He flashed the redhead an iniquitous smile. "Oh, you won't be hurting any civilians tonight, Carnelian. Not if you follow my rules, zat is. But..." He spread his arms wide as he continued. "If you choose to disregard me, your actions will precipitate zeir demise. You are correct about one sing, zough - you will be attacking our declared enemies. So don't worry; fight well, and zese asinine strangers might yet survif'e."

Crystallite didn't care. Using strangers meant his family was safe from this sicko. Nothing else mattered.

Nothing else, save for the approach of order signatures.

"I'd love to chat morals wis' you, Carnelian, but we're running out of time. If you want zese imbeciles to haf' a pulse come morning, you'll ready yourself for a fight." Finally he turned to the accompanying captain of the evening. "Crystallite, tie zem to ze fence. Make sure it's tight. I need zem steady or zey'll wind up dead sooner zan I'd like."

To hastily prepare when faced with the harbinger of a storm... This wasn't how he wanted to start his cerebral scenario.

The auras were what drew the knight of Jupiter closer that night. There was no need for signs or crude invitations. But it wasn’t with curiosity that he ventured forth. Anxiety welled up inside him, his heart pounding beneath his decorated chest-plate. He didn’t know what they were doing, or why they chose this location of all places to gather, but if he didn’t investigate, he might as well just throw in the white flag now.

He knew they could feel his own aura approaching, and yet they didn’t run. Perhaps it was because there were three of them and just one of him. No, that wasn’t necessarily correct. Valhalla could feel another Order energy close by, but hoped they would stay far away.

Ever since the Carnival, he’d taken it upon himself to be more cautious with how he made contact with the Negaverse, but the fact that none of these were Generals, he could be confident neither Painite nor Benitoite were amongst them.

His heart leapt to his throat upon seeing the civilians tied to the fence, his eyes sad and fearful for them, his hands raised to prove he was unarmed. “Let them go, please...” he requested, looking from one Captain to the other, and to the corrupted Senshi as well.

“My name is Valhalla... Whatever you want, we can negotiate... Please, just let them go...”
PostPosted: Mon Jul 15, 2013 6:22 pm

He reconigzed the Corrupted Senshi immediately, which only made his ire rise more. Carnelian should know better--he was little better than a traitor already, being a Senshi, but to follow this moronic maniac... but then the florist tilted his head and listened to the exchange that exploded from his acquaintence. His eyes narrowed. Carnelian was loyal after all - as loyal as could be expected from a Senshi, at least. It would be noted.

As would the name Bischofite, which belonged to the Captain who appeared to be in charge. Anger bubbled just below the surface, and the adjective 'feisty' wasn't heping matterrs any. He returned the tease by gathering up the blood that remained in his mouth and spitting it towards his 'host's' face.

Now a Knight appeared--meaning he could not become Serpentine without exposing his true self to the enemy. Oh, tonight was just turning out SPLENDIDLY. He made sure to show his gratitude apprioriately--by immediately beginning to struggle against his bonds and snapping out an order, "Carnelian. Release me!" His tone made it very apparent that he was telling, not asking.

As a newly-powered Super Senshi, Persehpone felt an urge to protect people -- to keep them safe, even more so than when she'd been a frightened baby newbie running around and praying to not die please and thank you.

Feeling two Negaverse auras had her flying across rooftops, much more gracefully than she normally moved in heels as a civilian. It was odd how much easier they were while she was Persephone. The powerful Knight aura also reassured her, made her more certain shed be safe, and when she landed on the building, she growled.

"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips. She was at least equal with both the officer and the corrupt - she could absolutely handle this. Her eyes flicked over to the Knight, and she realized she recognized him from the Carnival - they'd never talked, but they would have to after this.

Normally, she was pretty talky, but these were beaten and abused civilians, and it didn't take her long to mentally substitute people she cared about for them. It could easily be Lance, or Gabe...or worse, Alex, Cassie, Thalia, Lila.

No, Super Sailor Persephone was not feeling much like negotiating tonight.

While they did rank equally, somewhat (in the grand scheme of things, anyway), Carnelian knew the Negaverse expected their senshi to bow to the officers, regardless of rank. The redhead's throat swelled and his heart constricted with guilt, shame and complete abhorrence for the German officer before him. This madman, this lunatic, expected him to be complacent with killing civilians? Civilians had nothing to do with the Negaverse's goal of protecting and freeing the Earth - they were the only innocents in the war. And now, faced with the threat of their death for noncompliance, Carnelian tried to formulate a plan. Perhaps he could report Bischofite for the outright lie to his superiors.

But then an angry civilian called his name. Knew his name, which was even more disturbing.

Had someone seen him transform?

Before Carnelian could protest, a knight appeared and with it, the power signature. After him came someone his own rank - a Super senshi, which worried him more. Certainly they were outnumbered but if anything, the redhead doubted his abilities on the battlefield. Dashing over to the civilian, Carnelian turned around to have his back to the man in an effort of appearing to ready himself for battle. Dropping into a warrior's stance, Carnelian whispered over his shoulder.

"How do you know me? And how do you know my name?"

God, did he mess up this badly that a civilian knew who he was?

(OOC: Sorry for the lateness. Slowpoke slow.)

Taye thought today was shaping up to be the second worst day of his life.

He was already upset about being caught in the thunderstorm. He didn't much like the thought of predisposing himself to a cold. Or pneumonia.

He was on his way home earlier. He had everything planned out. He was going to go back where it was nice, warm, and, most importantly, dry. For dinner, he was going to eat a grilled cheese sandwich and drink a cup of hot green tea. After that, he'd study. Finally, he'd snuggle into his bed and go to sleep.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't make it back home and nothing went according to his plans.

He had initially run away from his captor, because he didn't think there was a snowball's chance in hell he could take him on in a fight. When he saw that there was no way he could outrun him, he resorted to kicking, scratching, and biting. He figured if he was going to go down, he wasn't going to go down easy.

And down he went. He wasn't even sure how it happened. He remembered seeing the other guy move. He remembered being in pain. But the details were all a blur. The difference in ability was just that drastic. It was like looking at the neutral swatches at Home Depot and knowing each square was a different color, but thinking they all looked the same.

When he came to, he was next to some guy. He didn't even know who this guy was, but it looked like he was in the same boat he was. As such, he thought there was some sort of camaraderie between them. He also thought it looked it he got punched in the jaw what with the blood on his lips and all. But he wasn't missing any of his front teeth. And they all looked pretty white, at that.

The mind did funny things under stress. Here he was, tied up to a fence in the middle of nowhere surrounded by terrorists and all he could think about was that man's voice. What was that accent? French? German? Belgian? He didn't want to get his lights punched out by a terrorist for looking at him or her funny. He also didn't want to say anything that would upset any of them. As far as he knew, his life was in their hands.

Now, he was looking at the man with the bloody lips again. He seemed safest. Unless he was a vampire. Judging from Carnelian's reaction, he very well may've been. His curiosity got the best of him. He tried his darnedest to smile and then said, "I can't believe I'm going to say this, but you're human, right?"

As anticipated, the cavalry drifted in. The knight was possibly the most interesting for the moment, given his disposition to ask for some sort of negotiation. Was that what his curious machinations looked like? Some hostage situation with the intent for a negotiation? And what could he possibly want from these senshi, these knights? He wondered if they considered the notions they offered before their impulse to vocalize them.

Bischofite offered the knight a gracious smile. "Valhalla..." The word felt familiar to his native tongue. "Fitting name. Ze resting place of dead warriors... Tell me - how many are you composed of, eh? How many corpses fill your spirit?" He laughed, as if the joke was meant for him and him alone. Maybe it was.

"Nevermind such sings." He dismissed the notion with a wave of his hand, and the gesticulation rolled into an indication toward the few civilians. "Valhalla. Are you ze only one who will join us tonight? A pity; I was hoping for more." Bischofite drew in a breath and straightened up, approaching the knight in a militaristic fashion. Goosestepping was far too close to buried history; such movements were easily discarded. "Since you were polite enough to show up early," he paused, flashing a scathing glare toward Carnelian, "I will gif' you a little information zat ze ozzers might not hear.

"Zis isn't some gesture to use civilians as poker chips, but I might relinquish zem to you if you participate accordingly. It's not a negotiation like you see in ze movies - zese people haf' a very real chance of dying, and it is highly possible zat you will be ze cause." The mirth quickly faded from his voice. "What I want isn't somesing you can gif' me. Not directly. I'm not looking for your starseed as I would'f before. Zis is beyond such endeavors. You see..." He trailed off, fingers brushing the air like piano keys. He turned on his heel, painful as it was, and approached the civilians tied to the fence. "Tonight is a celebration of sorts. A commemoration." Oh, but how might he convey the importance of the human mind in this tribulation? Was it worthwhile to divulge his interest in seeing just how far this drive for justice would go? Or even, how these Order puppets might rationalize away any damage they've done?

No - such complexities were lost on his audience, weren't they? He was bad, rotten, terrible. They were good, pure, honest.

These were the absolutes by which they lived their lives.

Bischofite halted a couple meager feet from the captives, searching each of their countenances for some sign of human spirit therein. So far he discovered fear - hollow terror echoed in the unusually bright eyes of a man, as if he prodded every blackened corner of the earth for errant demons. The second assailed him with righteous fury - this one expected to live, he extrapolated. Surely enough - the man sporting a rainbow of oil for hair spat at him with the venom of a snake. Blood sprayed across his face in fine particles, almost a mist if anything. Rather than wipe it off, he continued to watch the man with little change in his countenance.

How curious, this one... Not only did he recognize his corrupted senshi for the occasion, but he vehemently defied his captor and host. Yes, that was the mark of one expecting to live - where did that hubris come from? Was Carnelian behind it? Did he, perhaps, enlist an agent with such a weakness for turgid fools who barked commands like a king?

Cute. Really.

Bischofite smiled crookedly, though he did not strike the man - yet.

Finally his skin flayed off the back of his neck, piling up onto the floor in swaths of crisp and ash. At least, that's what it felt like - he recognized the sensation as the appearance of a White Moon Senshi, or possibly a knight. Upon rounding to identify the new addition, he outright laughed.

Of course. How could he conduct his affairs without a revolted senshi balking at his actions?

"What do you sink I'm doing?" He returned to the girl sporting green hair, leaning forward as he spoke. This reception - how stellar. "Why, I plan to haf' a barbecue tonight, senshi. You are cordially invited, as zey say." He spread his arms wide in mock welcoming. "Please - take your pick. Who should I burn first, eh? Personally I wouldn't mind ze fiery one in ze middle - he might even turn out a little cajun!" And Bischofite laughed - what did they honestly expect from him?

"I will make it clear to all of you what we're doing zis evening. As you can tell, I haf' sree civilians at my disposal - two of zem will suffer at your expense, and one will remain a prize of sorts. Zey're all quite interesting, I can tell.

"Ze rules are simple: you must fight your opponents. Nossing more zan zat. Simple, eh? Well!" He laced his fingers together and flashed a cunning smirk. "Zere is a small exception here - if you fail to dodge a hit, zat hit is reflected on one of ze civilians. And as you attack your enemy, zeir civilian takes damage as well. So what will you do? Dodge for all eternity, til you can't sustain a hit anymore? Or will you attack, in hope zat by incapacitating your opponent, you might still preserve zeir civilian's life?

"So! Let's make it clear who is on whose side, mm?" Initially he gestured toward the brunette who appeared wholly interested in the rainbow-haired man. "Zat one zere will be your civilian, Valhalla. You and your ornery little senshi friend will need to dodge some attacks, else zey'll show up on your team mascot here. And zat one," he pointed at the golden-eyed Indian in the center, "will be your civilian, Carnelian. Crystallite. And trust me, I won't mind if you take a few hits.

"You can try to barter for zeir lives all you like. If neizer one of you attack, I'll kill zem bos'. It's all up to you lot now - how many people would you like to die tonight?"

Here are the OOC rules!

Every turn your character can randomize 1-3 in an attempt to reason with one of the Negaverse agents.
- 1 means your attempt fails and Bischofite may take it out on a civilian.
- 2 means your attempt can go either way, and Bischofite sees it as intriguing.
- 3 means your attempt is a stellar success, and the persuaded character will disobey or even turn on Bischofite. If used on Bischofite, he will commend your character in some way.

Alternatively, every turn you may roll 1-4 to attack the enemy, as per Bischofite's rules.
- 1 means your attack was a total miss. You might even hurt yourself, failing so hard.
- 2 means your attack either missed or rendered a light blow, and you may receive a counterattack.
- 3 constitutes an average hit.
- 4 constitutes a significant hit.

If your reasoning was a success, your character can roll a 1-3 in their next turn to attack Bischofite directly. Don't worry, with that gimpy leg he won't be able to ninja dodge.
- 1 means your attack was a glancing blow. Expect a counterattack!
- 2 constitutes an average hit.
- 3 constitutes a significant hit.

Who knows what else might happen outside of these dice rolls? Anything is possible here! If you have any questions, please PM me!

Golden eyes, filled with concern, glanced in the Senshi’s direction as Valhalla felt her aura’s approach. He wished there was a way to warn her, to get her to turn around and get out while she still could.

But for whose benefit would that be...? Hers, or his own? Was he really afraid that she might get hurt, or did he not want to regret trusting her to hold her own...? In the end, there was nothing the knight could do to stop her approach, and straightened as confidently as he could.

Valhalla was no fighter. He was fairly certain anyone who knew him could vouch for that. He also knew he wasn’t the best with words — making flowery speeches or reciting poetic verses just wasn’t in his nature. Instead he made do with trying to be forthcoming as possible.

“I thought the Negaverse was trying to protect Earth and its civilians, not torture and kill them,” he frowned, his hands still raised and not making a move towards the man named Carnelian, speaking to whomever would listen. He was unsure of what made this man decide he could play with the lives of others like this, but the knight wasn’t going to accept these rules of his.

“Release them,” he requested once more, Valhalla’s hands lowering to his sides, just in case he would need to defend himself, or the civilians. “I will be informing Zinkenite of your rogue actions.”

There was a fraction of a moment that they would think he was bluffing, for they didn’t know him well enough to realize no matter how he tried to mask his emotions, his eyes always betrayed them. Fear was in them now, but also determination. No matter the outcome of this encounter, could these two officers really risk that chance that he might not hold true to his word?

Persephone frowned. "So you expect us to play some kind of sick, twisted game? For what? Funsies?" Her eyes kept flicking to the civilians, and to Bischofite. Was there any way to get them away from him? Or to get rid of one of his fellow officers? "Because that's pretty messed up." Alright, so being hostile and confrontational probably wasn't going to get her much, but she wasn't exactly feeling like bargaining.

Points to Valhalla, though - he was at least trying to talk them down, and doing a better job than she was. Hell, he seemed to know the name of someone pretty high up in the Negaverse - the way he said "Zinkenite" made it sound like this was someone of importance. Someone who they ought to fear, perhaps.

[Rolling to try and convince Carnelian. ENDED IN FAILURE. WELP.]

Krishna listened to the words flung at him with a growing degree of frustration and anger barely contained below the surface. First Carnelian who, despite his loyalty, seemed incapable of recognizing him. He could not blame him, per say, and begrudgingly admitted his means of proceeding was logical--PARTICULARLY given the second causes of his fury. A Knight and a Senshi had shown up, and his fellow prisoner was also awake. Meaning that there was no way for him to power up into his uniform and be properly recognized by his allies.

Well, ally. This raving lunatic, Bischofite... he was no ally. To see someone of this ilk representing the Negaverse made him growl, and had he any more blood to spare, he would still not have wasted it. This fool was unworthy of it. The one with whom he was stuck was little better. He stared at him and sneered, "Vampire? No."

To Carnelian, who had asked how he knew him, Krishna said only two words in an equally low whisper, "Strip poker." He could think of nothing else to say that might get through to the Corrupted Senshi without revealing his identity to everyone else around them.

Strip poker.

Oh dear god.

Carnelian had little time to react before a huge, scary knight with 4's all over him stepped up to the plate and his immense power signature nearly made the corrupted senshi wet himself. Bischofite's threat of civilian death for disobedience was looking pretty terrible at this point, but whose life was more important? His? The guy from strip poker? Any of the Order folk who showed up to this ridiculous game?

The redhead had had just about enough of being lied to and ordered around but he dare not risk injuring a civilian if he could help it. Damn it all, he was supposed to be helping these people, not injuring them!

Didn't Bischofite get the memo?

Lifting his hands, palms out, to Valhalla, Carnelian took a few gingerly steps backward. To Bischofite, it may look like the corrupted senshi was readying his magic. In actuality, he was simply trying to buy some time to get the Hell out of dodge with a fellow plainclothes officer intact. And he sincerely hoped Bischofite didn't know where he lived...

”Wait,” he tried getting Persephone’s attention, not wanting her to put herself or the civilians in danger with any rash actions. Valhalla took a small step closer towards her as he kept an eye on the man who was supposed to be their opponent.

Valhalla felt for the chain of his gyrocompass, unhooking it from where it rested against his side. He let it hang from the chain embedded with small crystals, ready to grab it and use his magic at a moment’s notice.

“Let’s try to get out of this without fighting,” he whispered in Persephone’s direction, his eyes still going between Bischofite, Carnelian, and the other Captain. “I think the other two know this guy is acting really weird… This isn’t how the Negaverse works typically… I’ve never known them to capture and torture civilians for the hell of it… I think this guy is doing it on his own.”

Whether or not that was true, he wasn’t about to throw what he’d learned from both Zinkenite and Wolframite away so easily. Even those he hadn’t gotten along with — Painite, or even Benitoite — hadn’t acted like this. They took energy and maybe even starseeds from civilians, thusly killing them… but torture…?

“I think we should focus our attack on the ringleader… If he tries something…” Valhalla paused, hoping Bischofite would allow for some quick “strategizing” in the name of fair play. He looked at the senshi then, wishing there was a way to get them out easier… “My magic can reverse movement. Maybe we can use both our magic to keep him at bay long enough to get the civilians freed?” It was worth a shot, in his opinion. He didn't know what her magic could do, but hopefully she would realize he wanted to team up with her.
