Traveling, this was the best way to gather information and like any time he traveled he always kept a look out for any trouble that was brewing under wing. After all if it wasn't him causing the chaos then it wasn't worth calling it that was it? This particular firani drakien loved to cause mischief everywhere he went, but it was no wonder as he was innately evil.
But even then one couldn't say that he couldn't be caught off guard as rare as it could be And today was one of those unfortunate days, for it came from above him, the only warning was the sudden shadow that was going over his body. A hiss as he tried to dodge to the right, only to end up with claws racking the side of his thigh. A burning sort of pain as several of his scales were torn into and some ripped right off.
A roar of anger, after all how DARE a dragon attack him out of no where and from above! THAT WAS HIS JOB! Seething he wished to turn mid air and latch his teeth into the throat of the beast that was trying to take him out of the sky, but that would only cause him to help cause the dragon plummet to the ground along with him. And last he checked, Dapyhir didn't want to end up dead on the ground.
Dislodging them had been easy enough but those claws were still trying to grab onto him and this time hold on, and a dragon was faster and larger than a drakien although not as nimble. So the best bet to escaping this dragon was to out fly it.
His only hope was to try and out fly it. Turning his head back he was..startled to discover that the dragon after him was ayrala and it was much much closer than he'd like. Returning his gaze forward he tried to focus on the task at hand. Escape..and then seek revenge.
There wasn't much in the way of trees in the sand dunes down below and ahead of him. Nor mountains or caves for him to hide in. Tucking in his wings he dived for the sandy earth below him. He had to avoid its attack if it decided to unleash it upon him, moving left...and then right he felt that he was only going to keep one step ahead for only so long.
It was a risky move but it was going to be worth it in the end, as he nose dived for the ground, it rushed up to met him he pulled up suddenly and was satisfied to hear a sudden crash and roar from below as he winged his way back up into the sky. He would mark this area in his mind...as well that particular dragon. D had plans for that dragon...and getting its soul was his top priority.
