Learning Jutsu
There are two main ways to learn jutsu. One, is to acquire a scroll. To do this you must first gain enough gold to afford the scroll, and then buy it from your village library. The second method, is to be taught by another ninja. This can be more convenient as you do not need the gold, but you can only learn jutsu the shinobi you are learning from knows already.
Once you have acquired your scroll, or been taught by another member, you are allowed to add the jutsu to your profile. There are no learning posts required for learning. However, before you can utilize the jutsu, you must either post showing the character learning the jutsu, or allow a reasonable length of time to pass in the RP to where you could have learned the jutsu in the background. You cannot simply buy a scroll and immediately cast the jutsu.
Jutsu above the user's rank must always be learned from another shinobi.
Shinobi are allowed to learn up to three jutsu one rank above their own, or one two ranks above. They cannot however do both.

Using Jutsu / Chakra System
Using jutsu requires the use of chakra. Every shinobi has a supply of chakra. Some have more than others, and higher ranking shinobi almost always have higher reserves than lower ranking ones.
There are three basic levels of chakra that most shinobi fall under. Low, Medium, and High. Certain benefits from professions, types, or bloodlines can change which level you are under. These are called Base Chakra Modifiers. Demon hosts all have their own unique modifier, which can be found on their demon's page in the proper thread.
Base Chakra Modifiers:
Modifiers come in multiplications of +#/10. This simply means that for every ten points of chakra you have as your base modifier, you add that many. Plus number per ten.
Low Chakra: This chakra level is the very basic. All shinobi with no modifiers fall under this category.
Medium Chakra: Shinobi with base modifiers between +1/10 and +3/10 fall under this category. Members of a bloodline or clan receive a base modifier of +2/10.
High Chakra: Shinobi with base modifiers of +4/10 or higher fall under this category. Clan or Bloodline Heads receive a base modifier of +4/10.
Individual Chakra Levels:
E Rank [Academy Student] – [Low: 15] - [+1/10: 16] - [+2/10: 17] [+3/10: 18] - [+4/10: 19]
D Rank [Genin] - [Low: 25] - [+1/10: 27] - [+2/10: 29] - [+3/10: 31] - [+4/10: 33]
C Rank [Chuunin] - [Low: 40] - [+1/10: 44] - [+2/10: 48] - [+3/10: 52] - [+4/10: 56]
B Rank [Special Jounin] - [Low: 60] - [+1/10: 66] - [+2/10: 72] - [+3/10: 78] - [+4/10: 84]
A Rank [Jounin] - [Low: 85] - [+1/10: 93] - [+2/10: 101] - [+3/10: 109] - [+4/10: 117]
S Rank [Elite Jounin] - [Low: 120] - [+1/10: 132] - [+2/10: 144] - [+3/10: 156] - [+4/10: 168]
If your modifier is +5/10 or higher and you don't understand the math, please feel free to ask for help in the Questions & Answers thread.
These numbers are your “Daily Total”. This means that, in game, your chakra will only recharge when your character sleeps for the night, or has a filling meal. Both acts must be referenced and at least partially shown in the RP itself.
Jutsu Costs:
Different ranking jutsu cost different amounts of chakra, rising according to rank. This amount is always the same, determined by rank, unless the exact cost is specified in the jutsu itself.
E Rank – [2 Chakra] D Rank – [3 Chakra] C Rank – [5 Chakra] B Rank – [7 Chakra] A Rank – [9 Chakra] S Rank – [20 Chakra]
Chakra control benefits exist in some areas, which reduce the cost of jutsu by a certain number. No bonus however, can reduce the cost of any jutsu below one chakra.

Power Boosts and Stacking
There are many ways in PotS, from types, to bloodlines, to professions, to gain power boosts. These can apply to almost anything. Strength, Speed, Reaction Time, and even Jutsu Power.
All boosts to jutsu power may stack. However, once you have passed a specific number of boosts, they decrease in efficiency. A character may receive two full rank boosts to a stat, meaning a D ranked character with a +2 to strength will have B ranked strength. However, above +2 boosts will no longer bypass entire ranks, but instead go through increment ranks. The same character as before, with a +3, will have a strength of BE. This means he is stronger than a B rank, but weaker than an A rank. To achieve full A rank capability, the character must have a total boost of +7. This is to both allow more specialized characters through strategic boosting, and keep a more realistic scale of power.
The resultant ranks, (Including even those impossible to attain.) are as follows.
E, D, DE, DD, C, CE, CD, CC, B, BE, BD, BC, BB, A, AE, AD, AC, AB, AA, S, SE, SD, SC, SB, SA, SS, And so on, with each new rank requiring every rank below it's own before the full rank is attained.
Any boost applied to A rank by a character below S rank is required to follow these rules. They do not receive the basic two rank boost. This does not apply to S rank characters.
Any boost applied beyond S rank is always required to follow these rules. They do not receive the basic two rank boost.
Jutsu above the user's rank can not receive any power boosts.
If you find this confusing, which is entirely possible, feel free to politely ask Hinote Tosatsu to help you out with it.
