Japan. Kuroshio Sea. The world's second largest aquarium. Cass and Marcus had wanted to see someplace outside of the US, they wanted a nice relaxing date, a day in a place they both could enjoy and not have to worry about their lives. He's gone in simple jeans, some tennis shoes, and today- his shirt was just a normal t-shirt. No buttons or anything. The most casual he'd been in in a long time.

Even with the crowds and noise- the photographs going off and the looks around them- he was happy, arm around Cass's shoulder, up near the glass, staring out into the tank, watching the various creatures he'd never get to see otherwise swim harmlessly by. "You having fun?" He tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

He was smiling, wondering if maybe they could abuse some hunter tech and come in later that night. "I'm still having a moment of awe."

He resisted the urge to tease her, to saying how she might scare the fish, or, get the attention and have them swarm to her natural beauty. She was after all, even more pretty than a mermaid. "Of course it would. Fish typically follow beautiful shinny things. And you fit the bill."

He pressed his finger to the glass, trying to get the same reaction- the fish just swam off. "Where as it can probably sense with me that I'd eat it given half a chance." Leaning on the rail, Marcus didn't mind the small children running about, one going so far as to push at his legs to try and get their face to the glass. "You go out sometimes though right? To uh, that place with the dog? We also get seagulls. Sometimes." Once in a blue moon only in transit. They never stayed long, the threat of shadowlings much larger for the small avians.

"It's weird to leave and know that all this- its out there. The island is really just that small."

Yes. A little kiss had him mentally puffing up, pleased. While his eyes stared out into the blue, a small long tailed fish stared back, only to dart away a few seconds later. "Think we wouldn't end up ordering something weird? Like live squid?" He might have looked it up. He also might have been told about live fish- sashimi.

"We could go to a zoo next time. Or just a park." A nice walk in a park was like a vacation now- he'd never have really have thought such about a simple thing like a park trip being like a vacation. "The island really is like a whole other world." guiding her to a nearby bench, Marcus sat, still staring at the fish. "But it kind of makes you appreciate things a little more. The small stuff. like sparrows and robins- or even just a cute stray cat that howls at night. You miss it, without realizing it."

He did wonder- "Maybe that can be our next goal? Get our own little house off island?"

He was easy to please. Small things, big things, even just as simple as the idea of Cass and him spending the night trying to find a nice seafood place was exciting. After all, aside from eating out, how often did they get a chance to enjoy being around people, in a city, or just see the night sky from a view that was tinted from the lights of life. The stars in the sky were always and option on the island, but in the city? He remembered how you didn't see stars. You saw airplanes. So you wished on those instead.

"We can skip the places that serve the still living fish if you want? No dancing squid. I promise." A kiss to her forehead, a few girls made a sound nearby, and when he looked- they were snapping photos. All Marcus could do was smile and pull Cass closer.

"Yeah, the zoo's nice actually. I went once with my school. It might be nice to go again. Just because I lived their once doesnt mean it's off limits." His grin got a little devious. "I could dye my hair, dress down like something I'm not." His ran fingers up her arm teasing before going back to more serious things.
"If Death can pull fake IDs out of their asses and give us new identities all the time... depending where we look might not be that hard. We make decent pay."

"Make it two copies." He muttered at her. "Probably just not used to seeing people like us." Not many arabic men over six foot in japan after all. "But nah, It's not awkward. At worst someone who knew me then sees through the hair dye. But its been two years. Most people have moved on. Plus I wasn't close to anyone really. And...." He thought about it.

"Maybe next time we come out we can hit the park and start shopping around? State side orrrr-" He trailed off, watching as a school of colorful fish put on a display earning his and the crowd's attention momentarily. "......Wondering how we could get the dog though."

The person to care for the dog would be the problem. After all.. 2 days a month wasn't exactly the most ideal of conditions to have 'ownership' of a pet dog. Maybe if it was off base or something, or they could have week long leave but really- they'd need a dog sitter.

That or some serious vacation time.

"One day maybe." She was right though. House on the island first, then they could look at a vacation home. With dog. The kiss was met with happy enthusiasm, and he couldn't help but make it a bit more intense, passionate. Some of the girls snapped more photos and for a quick second he smirked at them. Sorry ladies, he was taken.

"Think they're jealous?"

Marcus scoffed. Looking at the girls and willing them away, he hoped they might take the hint.

A click of camera phones told him no, they didn't.

"You're snuggling." A tiny pinch to her butt. "A bit hard to resist." A kiss to her nose he stood, offering an arm. "This is the big tank but- did you want to see the smaller ones? I kind of wanted to check out the octopus or or the tropical fish if they have any." Not that the map he'd grabbed was easy to read.

He'd just picked one up.
The not English one.
It was an accident.

"....We can explore, up to you Cass. Either way you know we're going to dine fine tonight at a place we probably can't pronounce that will none the less, be delicious."

Dis was eye rolling. A way to a man's heart indeed.

He was tempted to do it. Just pick her up and carry her. Because he could but- less attention the better. Interlocking fingers with her own, he opened the pamphlet looking for any pictures that might help.

The cute faces on the drawings helped.

"I think... we head that way?" He made a vague motion with his head. "............" Before he was back, staring at the tank. "..............Oh. Right. Jellyfish and dogs. I like bigger dogs."

He kept looking at the tank, distracted by the various larger mammals.
