So a week into the whole ordeal and Xenosa had still not seen a Ysali orb, and she hadn’t been much closer to anything else really. Sure some of her other skill sets had gotten quite good, real good in fact, but she still could not return to Daesat with an orb because she had none to offer! This was certainly the last time she was going out for an orb, if she did not get one now she was halting all training and would simply stop being a fighter and keep the miserable life she was living. So out she went, cape in hand and hoping to be able to make a kill.
This time around, Xenosa decided to take her time. She walked quietly until she found her target, and she examined it for a long time learning what it did and where it went. When she felt comfortable enough, she approached the target slowly, always trying to blend in with her surroundings as much as possible. When she felt she was close enough without getting caught her fingers slipped into the folds of her clothing and she aimed. The knife sliced easily through the air and landed right on target, the Ysali’s left closed eye.
The knife was so thoroughly lodge in there that even as it rawred and tried to swap the knife out it couldn’t. Xenosa was taking out another knife and aiming for the beasts throat, she released the weapon just as she was moving forward with another knife in hand. The second knife hit its target and Xenosa was running full speed towards the beast, jumping she grabbed onto the knife that was on the beasts throat and let her weight drag the knife down the Ysali’s throat. In the end, all that was left was a panting Xenosa with a bright green Ysali orb.
