Mary blinked seeing the pokemon carrying his trainer. Was it normal for pokemon to brink sleeping trainers to battles? She shrugged and sent out her Piplup.

The rock slammed into Mephistopheles, and he was pushed back. Regaining his balance from the sudden attack, he bowed. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto if you so choose. I shall be your opponent for this battle. Good luck."
Electricity crackled along his arm before focusing in his hand. The dusclops charged forward at the piplup.

The penguin wobbled as he got back up, the ghost pokemon was a lot stronger than he had expected. Kaiser flung another rock at it.

Mephistopheles phased back to the trainer's box, and Lenore shifted slightly in her sleep. His eye began to glow, and the girl floated up before landing gingerly on his shoulder. He turned and left.
