The Forest of Magic ~ A Place of Oddities Stage 1C: The forest here is quiet, yet strange. And can tell you're not alone here, and can feel someone's eyes falling on you. The fiery hero will be here soon, but he is not of this magician's concern yet. This was this magician's home, at lest it felt like that to her. This magical power was quite strong, and the magician could feel it, so she set to work preparing for an adventure, when he showed up...  As this newcomer approached, the magician saw him from her spot in the trees. She was not hiding, but rather gathering. She was gathering various magical ingredients when she heard him coming. The magician had a nice large, blue mushroom in hand when she stopped what she was doing and looked at him. She frowned and put her mushroom in her basket before standing up and moving into the clear, leaving her basket behind. Next to her basket was a broom, an ordinary broom.
"What are you doing here?" The magician asked the man as she stepped into the clearing. "Are you here about the magical energy?" the magician asked the man. "Tell me something; who are you?" she continued. She was a bit concerned, as people didn't usually come into this part of the Forest of Magic, and with this magical energy being sensed everywhere she knew he wasn't there to explore the forest. The magician snapped her fingers and the broom came to life. The cleaning tool levitated up and hid behind a tree, behind the magician, ready for when she needed it.

 Mitsuru Nori"The Ending Flame."
"I am the flame that burns away cruelty..."
His steps were were light even though the magical feeling weighed heavily upon him. He was far more receptive to magic than most creatures and therefor he felt it even when it wasn't close. The fire demon's resolve to discover the source of it was burning heavily no matter how much it weighed him down, and he propelled himself forward. He had the feeling of being watched, but did not look for the eyes that sat upon him. He only halted his advance when he hard a voice. He turned towards it, another figure within the clearing. She looked young, rather adorable. There was a time where he simply would have killed her and moved on, but that man was dead.
He smiled warmly at her and gave a small bow "Well-met." he greeted her oddly. It was an archaic greeting not commonly used these days. The magician questioned him being here. He was obliged to answer.He cheerfully responded "Yes, I am here to see discover is origins." he said. He got the sense that perhaps..he was trespassing. It was the only path he could have taken. He nodded "I am Mitsuru, Nori ; The Ending Flame" he answered her. He did notice the broom and figured she was being defensive. He looked at her "Might I know who you are? It's only fair..I've given you my name." he said. She could tell him or not, he didn't mind it. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

It turned out that the man was actually there about the magical energy and wished to discover where it was coming from. This was expected. The man introduced himself as Mitsuru Nori, as well as presenting her with his title, The Ending Flame. He asked for her name, saying it was only fair as he gave her his.
Enter Youkai Saint (Magician Form) ~ Avatar of an Awkward Higher Power
"My name is Youkai Saint, an ordinary magician. I live in this part of the Forest of Magic." Youkai told the man. She crossed her arms as she continued. "If you're here because of the magical energy that you can sense then you're out of luck; it's not here (I've checked). But..." Youkai pointed one of her fingers upwards, her arm stilled in the crossed position across her chest. "I might share the info I do have with you. Maybe." Youkai said, playfully.
Youkai jumped into the air. As she approached the ground her broom zoomed in and hovered beneath her, grabbing her and letting her float. "Sorry, mu legs are killing me; I've been gathering ingredients and such allllllllll day." Youkai said as she stretched out her legs and arms.

He watched her use her broom to lebitate. She had info but didn't wish to share i with him unless of course..he pain a price. He looked up at her "I figured as much." he said "Okay so what is it you wish for me to do?" he asked her "Gather ingredients? Answer a riddle?" he asked. Fighting never crossed his mind since he doubted it would be so..simply. He needed the information to proceed. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

The magician giggled at Mitsuru's questions. "Oh no, I don't want you to do servant work for me (though, it would be nice), I was thinking more along the lines of..." Youkai pt her hand to her chin as she thought for a moment, her broom slowly bobbing up and down as she did. She snapped her fingers, showing that she came up with an idea. "Oh! A test of strength, perfect!" She said.
Her broom then lifted her into the air, and once high enough she looked down at Mitsuru and called, "Beat me and I'll tell you what (little) I know! How about that?" If Mitsuru agreed to the battle, then she would pull back her right hand, create some danmaku in it, and throw forward several red hearts that would leave behind small embers that disappeared quickly.
However, if Mitsuru did not wish to do this test of strength yet, then she would wait... or she would still fire some bullets at him.

He looked at the witch and through about it for a moment before he shook his head in agreement. He got into his fighting stance and waited for her to make a move "I agree to your terms. Don't cry when I defeat you!" he called to her with a friendly smile. Nori was ready for this kind of thing, he was a fighter and as such would be willing to deal with them..though he learned that these people were capable of firing quite a large bit of projectile but he was able to navigate his way through attacks. He would fire bullets at her until he got into the best position to jump up and bring her down. He was slow on movement so he had to be very careful. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

Youkai grinned at the man when he accepted her challenge. "Same goes for you too!" She called back to him.
BGM: Paradigm Shift
Once she fired her heart shaped bullets the man fired some of his own bullets back. Youkai swerved her broom around in mid air, barely dodging some of the man's bullets. She released a few more heart bullets, and soon after was hit by several of the man's bullets. Youkai pouted, but she did not give up. She swerved her broom around, dodging the bullets until she was high in the air, directly in the middle of the clearing.
"Magic Tool "Star Watcher's Potion"!" Youkai called. In her hand appeared a bottle with a cork in it. She reeled back her arm and then chucked it in the man's direction. Upon impact with anything solid it would set off an medium sized explosion as well as release several star shaped bullets. Another bottle appeared in the magician's hand after the first one bottle would have exploded, and with this one she threw it straight down beneath her, in order to try and decrease the space this man had for avoiding her attacks.
As for the bullets that the man fired at her, she would occasionally swerve around to avoid them, but other than that she would allow some to hit her.

Mitsuru Nori"The Ending Flame."

The two engaged in a fierce battle that send flaming bullets and heart shaped ones flying all over the place. It was an odd scene, but he knew how these things worked. He fought and defeated a great many of the denizens here in his original world though they were stronger. He learned to do it their way too. When she started throwing bombs he sprouted fiery wings from his back and flew upwards but not fast enough to avoid all of the hit. He got hit by projectiles from both bombs but otherwise shook it off. He flew higher so that he was on equal "ground" and swirled his fingers around. The flame took the form of a spiral before he tossed it at her "Eye of Surtur." he called. He found naming attack fun...Hong introduced it to her. He even had a move named after her. It would act like a boomerang and make rounds twice before dissipating. The area of attack was very wide. He was keeping his power to a minimum since the damage done by an unrestricted flame was very grievous. Kind's flame was fully controllable thank god. He followed up on his boomerang by by firing a rapid stream of flaming bullets.
The ifirit instantly took joy in the battle as any true warrior would. Exchanging blows from the bullets might not be as exciting as exchanging fists but it worked well enough for this man. He was a warrior and took joy in any type of battle, though he could enjoy life outside of it. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

The man took to the air, casting a spellcard at Youkai. Mitsuru threw a boomerang at Youkai as well as fired a stream of flaming bullets at her. Youkai made careful work to avoid the boomerang, but in doing so was hit by a fair amount of the flaming bullets. Her HP was running low, so she decided to start another spellcard, most likely her last for this fight.
"Magic Tool "Heartbreaking Potion"!" Youkai called out as she casted her spellcard. Youkai grabbed her broom and dived towards the ground, flattening herself against the broom's handle. Before they were to hit the ground, Youkai pulled straight up and flew in a spiral upwards. Once she was a few feet above where she had been just before casting the spell she stopped spinning, threw her hands in the air, and sent several more corked bottles flying.
It was much like her last spellcard, but this time, about a second after she threw them, she created several red and pink hearts in her hands and threw them outwards. The hearts homed in on the bottles and upon impact they blew up, much like the last card. The explosion created several broken heart shapes this time, and the left over hearts that Youkai had made attempted to home in on Mitsuru, but they were destroyed by his bullets.
Youkai swerved and swerved around the bullet the man fired, her energy running thin now. She didn't want to lose, but at least she'd go out fighting.

Her next attack was a strange one but the burning warrior settled himself for the onslaught. Mitsuru managed to avoid the stray pieces of the bombs but was hit by the homing attacks, lowering his health further. He had destroyed some with his bullets so he staved off most of the damage. She was putting up a good fight but it was about time to end it. He gathered up a wide flame in his hand and condensed it into an orb. He throw it "Fire orb!" he called and the orb traveled at her with great speed. Once it neared her it exploded. He made sure to calculate the distance and moved accordingly. The force would be enough to send her careening towards the ground if it worked, if not the force then the flame bolts would get her. He had no idea if this would end the match or not but she was displaying signs of low battle spirit. He hoped this would prove to be just what he needed. He was a warrior, being beaten here would be terrible. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

Youkai watched the orb approach her with great speed. She had planned to dodge it at the and throw some more bottles out, but before it reached it her it exploded. This was the finisher. Youkai let out a yelp as she flew backwards, her broom still beneath her. Before she was to hit the ground her broom stopped her fall, allowing for her to hover in mid air near the ground again. "O-okay, you win." The magician said, rubbing her head. She hopped off her broom and held it at her side. "Woo, that was a fun fight... Although, I'm a little sore now." Youkai giggled, rubbing her back.
"Well, as promised I'll tell you what I have found out." Youkai said, dusting off her skirt. "The magical energy's levels fluctuate, so it's rather hard to track down. But," Youkai took off her hat as she said but and dusted it off as well. "I did sense a rather large amount of energy in the forest earlier; maybe they have something to do with the magical powers."
Youkai found that her hat had a burn mark, as well as the rest of her clothes, but she didn't care too much. She placed her hat back on her head and jumped on her broom. "Well, that's all I know so far, so I'll be going now." Youkai said, her broom rearing up as she was about to fly off. "It was fun! See ya around!" And with that, she zoomed off into the forest, picking up her basket on the way.

Landed on his feet once she had finished her. He crossed his arms and smiled "Yeah, tried not to be hard on you." he said. She told him what she knew though it wasn't exactly of much help except for the fact that there were large amounts of magical energy in this forest. He nodded "Thank you." he said and began to walk. He was still trying to figure this out..so deeper into the forest he had to go to find them. "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

The Forest of Magic ~ Down by the River Stage 2C: A small river runs through the edge of the forest of magic. The being who stands by it seems like she's looking for something. Now that the guardsman has a new course, he is that much closer to solving the mystery of the magical power. But what could be causing it? An innocent storm watcher seems curious about something as well. Could she be curious about the magical energy also?  Mitsuru would eventually come to a calm river, near the edge of the Forest of Magic; this was in the direction that the magician, Youkai, told him she could sense a rather large amount of magic. As the guardsman made his way there, he would be able to see a rather tall woman standing on the shoreline, staring up through the gap that the river made in the forest at the sky.
As our hero drew closer to her he drew her attention. She shifted her gaze towards him, not turning her head just yet. As he got even closer she turned herself to meet him. "Oh my, I didn't expect to be meeting anyone here." She told the man. She smiled and gave a bow, no sense in being rude. "How do you do? My name is Soyyu Sassa; I'm a storm watcher."
Enter Soyyu Sassa ~ The Innocent Storm Watcher Hiding Behind a Hidden Mask
She knew that the man couldn't be there for the sights; she could sense the magical energy building up somewhere. But first things first. "Might I have your name, sir? And, if i may, might I ask what you're doing here?" Soyyu asked the man. "I come here quite often and I have never seen you here before." Soyyu explained to him. "But, you don't have to answer if you don't want to, it's alright." The woman said with a warm smile.

Mitsuru had made his way deeper into the forest and came upon a river. Being unfamiliar with must of this forest it somewhat surprised him to see it yet, it made sense for this river to have one. What did surprise him was the presence of a tall green-haired women who seemed to stare up at the clouds. Her presence did not concern him to he was looking to make his way past until she seemed to speak to him instead. He paused and looked towards her and nodded. He returned her bow and introduced himself "Mitsuru Nori ; The Endling Flame" he smiled "It's nice to meet you." he crossed his arms as he searched the area first "I'm investigating the magical disturbance I've been feeling." he had no issue answering. He wasn't hiding anything.
He smiled "Do you happen to know anything about it, or have you just been here watching the clouds?" he asked her "....I shall turn your illusion of power to ash. "

The man gave his name as well as his title. How interesting. These woods are always filled with the most fascinating... never mind, that's a story for later. Mitsuru told Soyyu that he was investigating the large amount of magical energy that could be sensed from afar. "Oh yes? I myself am a bit curious about it as well." Soyyu admitted with a smile.
He asked if she knew anything about it, or if she had just been watching the clouds. "I've been watching the clouds ever since I sensed this power." She told him. "Raw, magical energy can wreak havoc if not carefully advised,so I've been watching these clouds for any sort of disturbances." The youkai informed him.
"However," Soyyu added, with a smile. "I may be able to point you in the right direction, if you want. Of course, you probably already know what that means for you and I." She moved into a more suitable position for the upcoming battle. "So let's just get that out of the way, shall we?"
BGM: The Blessings of God Do Not Come ~ Forsaken Lamb
Soyyu pulled her arms in towards her body and then held them out to her sides. As she swung her arms out she released five balls of electricity, each followed by an electric tail. The center sphere was aimed at Mitsuru while the other four were aimed at four trees. Once these four hit their designated tree they'd bounce back, aimed at Mitsuru's current position.
