R'an sighed as he was sat up on some pillows, his chest bandages heavily along with a few gashes on his arms. With all the numbweed he had on him, it was a wonder that he could still feel the tightness in his chest that came with breathing. He hummed some as he toyed with his sketchbook, doodling in it as he had nothing better to do. Beside him, Syriacuth lay, his shoulder and wing joint had been bandaged as much as possible for a young dragon and thankfully not much stitching was needed to keep the membrane of his wings intact. But he would have much scarring and wouldn't be able to fly any time soon. "You okay?" R'an asked of his dragon, the poor thing's eyes were shut and when they whirled open, they were the color of pain. 'Wing is itchy....' He complained as he shifted. R'an sighed, he was so stupid putting his dragon in danger...

Sh'en didn't like chores much. The clinic was full of medicine and injured people and boring healers and he didn't like that much either. So being stuck on chore duty for the clinic was not his idea of the best time ever. He especially hated mopping, and lo and behold, a mop in his hand and a bucket in the other. "... Maybe I shouldn't have said that that other weyrling looked like a wher." In retrospect, that was pretty obvious. said Kalteth, chirping, "Well, I shouldn't have told him so." "Tact, Kally. Tact." Kalteth pawed at the mop as he tried to mop the floor. "Kally..." "You don't have hands, Kally" he said, laughing a little. She thought about that for a moment, she said, pouncing at the mop. Sh'en dodged away with a yelp, stumbling back into R'an's room. "Hey! You're supposed to wait until..." he looked behind him and noticed the very injured R'an and Syriacuth. "Er.." Kalteth poked her head in. "Sorry about that!" he said, smiling meekly. Kalteth's eyes widened, swirling a wild, happy, excited green. she said happily, bouncing a bit behind Shenja as she greeted her clutchsib.

R'an was curious as he heard a voice outside his room and raised an eyebrow as someone came stumbling into it.
"Erm... Hello?" He said in a bit of a confused manner. "No problem... Syria stop that." He said as his dragon began to growl very loudly at the other two. Especially the excited green. 'Too loud, I can't keep you safe if they come closer.' Syriacuth explained but he cut the growling down some, it was more of a low hum at the moment.
R'an sighed, "Sorry about him, he's been doing that to everyone since we were brought into here." He explained as he shifted and winced at the tightness in his chest once more. He noticed the mop and looked at the boy closer. He recognized him some as another Weyrling. "I'm R'an... I don't think I've met you before?" He offered his hand, though it made him wince again. Maybe he needed more numbweed?
Meanwhile Syriacuth leaned his head closer to get a better look at Kalteth. He bowed his head when he realized he had been growling at a girl. 'Sorry sister, But I have to protect my rider.' He shifted his wing and growled at himself. 'It's So Itchy!' He complained, making R'an laugh.

"Sh'en. Well, if we haven't met, glad to meet you!" he said, laughing a little in embarrassment, shaking the offered hand- gently because he had seen that wince. He looked briefly at Syriacuth- that growl brought up all sorts of flight-or-fight responses in his brain- before taking a polite step back. He looked around the room, Kalteth bouncing in behind him. she said, cheerfully, No that she did much protecting. She tilted her head. Yay, brothers! Yay new friends for Shenny! Newness all around, wheee! But what a small room, there really was not much there. She flicked her tail side to side for a moment. "It must get boring, just sitting here" they commented in unison. They would be bored stiff if they had to sit around all day with bandages and pain! that would be so miserable!
"Wanna see a trick?" They asked in unison, giving each other a wink. After all, they couldn't just leave them hanging like that. Sh'en hoped they hadn't been in this little cell-like space for long!

Seeing this boy, his attitude seemed so carefree and R'an found himself smiling and liking the way he acted. As well as the green. She was quite energetic and really silly it seemed.
Syriacuth wasn't as interested. He was tired and hurt. 'It is, but R'an needs to be here...' He didn't mention that he needed to be here either. And this little green... He respected them, but he just wasn't feeling all that up to his usual bow and politeness.
"It is alittle boring." R'an confessed as he shut his sketchbook. "Err... A trick?" He asked, glancing at Syriacuth who was staring at them both with a dark look. The dragon looked at him. 'As long as they don't come closer then fine.' He said grudgingly before looking back at them and resting his head on his paws. 'Sure, what is the trick?" They both asked at the same time.

Rashel Kitsune Hey, sorry for being so slow, I was in a solo writing mood these past few days! The two looked at each other and Sh'en grinned.
"Okay." he said, reaching into his overalls for the four little toy balls he had. They were bouncy and fun to play with, and also brightly colored, while being big enough to... well... not choke on or lose. He showed them to R'an and Syriacuth before winking and beginning to juggle them. He started slow, adding ball after ball to the tossing until all four balls were up in the air, sort of percariously. Kalteth reared up on her hindpaws, tail twitching in excitement. Sh'en giggled. He said to her, tossing one of the balls lightly underhand towards her. She caught it in her mouth and he continued juggling. He tossed another ball, leaving him juggling two and two only. he asked, giving her a look, If a dragon could grin, Kalteth was close to doing it. She tried- valiantly- to toss one of the balls to him with tongue motions. It wasn't exactly successful, but Sh'en wasn't expecting it to be. He managed to catch the ball and, with some stuttering in motion, go back to juggling three. He looked at R'an queryingly, still juggling. Well, how was that? Pretty great, right? Kalteth certainly thought so.

R'an watched, smiling alittle at the silly routine, it did help cheer him up and he clapped at the end, a larger smile on his face. "That is quite amazing." he said as he shifted. "Don't you think so Syria?" He asked the dragon outloud. The blue shifted to watch the act, though his head remained on his paws and his head kept his pain filled eyes on the dragonet and HIS. He let out a rumble in apprieciation and nodded. 'It is good.' He said softly, still watching. As long as one of those balls didn't fall towards him or on his rider or any of Syris'a own injuries he was fine with the entertainment, though he wouldn't mind just spending the time sleeping.

Rashel Kitsune I've kept you waiting... I'm so sorry! Kalteth said gleefully, getting dragon drool all over the ball still in her mouth. said Sh'en, chuckling, Kalteth loved trying new things! That was the best thing ever! <'kay!> Said Kalteth, spitting it back at him with some flair. He caught it and returned to juggling the four, concentrating on the movements. asked Kalteth, bouncing eagerly around him, Sh'en faltered a moment in the juggling, recovering after a brief hiccup. he said, grinning mischeviously. "Lady dragons and gentledragons, and fellow weyrling, I present to you..." he tossed one of the balls up high, "A balancing act!" he ducked, catching the fourth ball on top of his head. He had to keep moving around to balance it on his head, while he kept juggling. if Kally could clap, she would. she said excitedly, watching her rider with delight. If he had been more skilled and had actually practiced this act, he would have been able to balance without so much movement, but, as he carefully stepped to keep it on his head, he stepped backwards one bit too far and stumbled over his own mop, discarded and forgotten in the entertainment. "Ah!" he said, falling on his butt, the juggling balls bouncing onto the floor and rolling away. He blinked for a moment before smiling sheepishly and, as Kalteth went over to inspect him, he gave the room a little half bow. "Ta da!"

R'an winced alittle as Sh'en tripped and fell on his backside. He couldn't help grinning though, it was quite funny and he clapped once again. "Very amazing." He said as he shifted as best he could to lean over to look at the boy. "Are you alright?" Syriacuth's head popped up as Sh'en went down and he eyed the boy on the floor, growling once again. That was abit too close! R'an's soft soothing hum made him quiet down but he was still wary, if he had hackles they would be raised. 'It is acceptable' The annoyed dragon told Kalteth. 'Is your rider alright?' He asked, he couldn't help being alittle concerned.

Kalteth felt a little bit guilty. "I'm okay" said Sh'en laughing a bit. His butt was sore and he ached a little, but he was fine. So long as the other weyrling was entertained, Sh'en was happy. Though... his dragon seemed like a bit of a harder audience... Said Sh'en back, standing up and brushing himself off before bowing exaggeratedly. "Thank you, thank you" he said, with a smile, pretending as if everything had gone according to plan and his butt didn't hurt and his hands weren't covered with dragon spit. Ah well, he'd wash up later! said Kalteth, suddenly distracted, Sh'en glanced at her. She stretched out her neck to get a better look. "Oh yeah. Hey, what are you reading?" Sh'en asked, approaching curiously.

He laughed alittle, though it wasn't exactly nice, R'an couldn't help it. Sh'en certainly was entertaining. "Do you need a towel or something?" He asked, seeing the spit on his hands. Even though Sh'en wasn't doing his duty of mopping, R'an didn't care much at that moment, he was happy that this boy was entertaining him and giving him something to do, even if it was just watching. Meanwhile beside R'an, Syriacuth huffed at the green's enthusiasm and her seemingly disregard for the fact her Rider was hurt, but she didn't seem to notice. The blue dragon growled again and only R'an petting of his head got him to calm down alittle. 'Be nice. They're being nice enough to talk to us.' R'an scolded. Syriacuth didn't answer, only growling louder as Sh'en came closer and letting out a loud hiss at the other rider. He didn't want him so close! His one wing came up to flare, and R'an panicked a little. "I think you might want to back up. I'd rather he not accidently hurt you." He said with anxious looks at his annoyed dragon. 'Get your rider away!' Syriacuth growled at Kalteth. 'He's too close! Too Close!'Since the dragon didn't want to calm down, R'an grunted as he grabbed his sketchbook and leaned forward and handing it to the boy. "It's a sketchbook, you can flip through it, but I'd do it from over there." He said as he leaned back, panting a little.

Rashel Kitsune What does he draw? Also the irony is that the version of Sh'en I have in Extrasensory is an artist XD Kalteth shrunk back, eyes briefly flashing yellow. she whined to her rider, uncertain. Her brother wouldn't hurt people? Right? Dragons couldn't hurt people... but he was being so scary! Sh'en stopped where he was at the hiss. He put his hands up in the universal surrender posture. "Sorry about that. I'll take a look over here, then..." he said, slowly taking the sketchbook and backing away.
Kalteth, gave Syriacuth one last hurt, yellow-eyed look before deciding that bad things were obviously not going to happen right away. She was soon distracted by the sketchbook, and her eyes faded back to a merry green-blue. "Pictures, huh..." said Sh'en, intrigued. He couldn't very well. He had tried once, but he preferred any pictures to stay in his mind- they were honestly so much better there. It was fun trying to describe them. That was called 'stories'.
said Kalteth, nosing Sh'en aside to get a better look at the pictures. They were just scratchings on paper but they made shapes! She wanted one! She really did! Well that could be managed? Perhaps? Sh'en carefully approached and, at the longest distance his arm could reach, handed back the sketchbook before bowing respectfully to the blue. Kalteth gave him a look.
he said, backing up back to the seemingly appropriate distance. Kalteth pouted, briefly. "Do you draw, ah, real people?" asked Sh'en, working up to the question. But of course, Kalteth decided to interrupt. she asked, though she at least remembered to keep her distance this time.

DraconicFeline Everything pretty much, he's drawn weyrlings that he knows, some of the dragons in the lake, many pictures of Syriacuth, a few of the eggs before they hatched. A couple of his mom and dad and brother and just make up some more wink Syriacuth realized he had scared the female and he deflated some, crooning in the back of his throat. 'Sorry... ' He apologized to Kalteth, if he wasn't so hurt, he would have nuzzled her some to show he was sorry. "I'm really sorry about him, he's always protective of me." R'an apologized, feeling abit embarrassed of his dragon's reaction, but he couldn't change how Syriacuth was and any other time, he didn't mind it in the slightest. It had kept him safe during the attack after all. The question had him abit off guard. "Yes I do. I have a few pictures of my parents and my older brother in there. And a couple of other weyrlings... don't tell them though okay? I'd rather not be yelled at for doodling..." He rubbed the back of his head with his good arm. Syriacuth tilted his head at the question and looked at R'an. 'Kalteth wants to know if you'll draw her a picture.' He informed the teen. R'an smiled some. "I can draw one of you two if you like? I can even color it if you get me those special made paints.' He added.
