Blue and gold blurred together as the mare's legs kicked through the water, disturbing the peace of the shallow lake. It was one of Iskra's favorite locations in these woods, and moreso during the hot seasons. After all, who could resist a chance to splish splash the cool water against their skin? And that's exactly what the mare intended to do....even if she did so in a loud and boisterous manner. "Haha! Sorry fishies! M' sorryyyyyy!" Okay maybe not really, but she was certain any fish lurking under the water were swift enough to avoid her hooves. Most likely.
Miroqi was enjoying the sun as he headed for a favored grazing ground, when he heard some one splashing nearby. He blinked, and paused, pondering if he should head towards it, when he heard the voice. Female, and apologizing to FISH? What on earth? WELL that was a lure that called to him, if only for the sake of seeking amusement. A mare talking to fish certainly would be different, if he was any judge at all! He turned in the direction of the sound and trotted quickly towards it. When he broke out of the line of the trees, and saw the mare, he stopped and stared for a long minute. She had quite the fang but... she didn't seem to have the carnivore teeth... He thought, then he called out. "Hallooooooooo!"
"Eeep!" Iskra halted her motions in an instant, which made for a disheveled appearance. Her tail clung to her legs in a knotted mess, and her mane was weighed down and glossed from the water she had kicked up in the air. It took her a moment to shake out her mane just to be able to peer an eye through the bright locks and glance at the stranger. "Well 'ello there! I hadn't realized I had company....were you staring long?" The mare laughed lightly, before giving another hop in the shallow water. The stallion looked benign enough, and she didn't sense any threats in his tone of voice.
Miro had the grace to look embarrassed when she eep'd, not having meant to startle the mare. He looked her over and then shook his head, smiling. "Not at all, m'dam. I just overheard some splashing as I passed through the woods, and was curious as to who would be enjoying this particular lakelet. Hearing your voice, I couldn't resist coming over and greeting you. Wouldn't be polite at all of me to stand and stare, now would it?
"Haha, you embarrass me, good sir!" Iskra shook her head and faked a pout in his direction. "Were you more lured by my sweet voice than my sweet sight? Guess that leaves me no choice but to chatter away then." Stepping casually across the water, she neared the edge that the stranger stood upon. However, she was in no mood to leave the cool liquid just yet, and stayed knee deep in the lake. "The name's Issy. Aaaand who might you be?"
Miroqi had to control the urge to not laugh, for he found her delightfully amusing, and he'd just met her. This seemed to be a good start to him. It'd been a bit since he'd had such pure fun meeting some one. "I would never wish to embarrass a lady! I do apologize! And yes, your voice indeed lured me. I found it quite thoroughly charming, hearing you apologize to those fish!" He teased, gently, and then gave a sort of half bow. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Issy! I am Miroqi, but you can call me Miro."
