Giuseppe drifted from field to field, automatically tearing and chewing at the low-growing shoots. His mind was elsewhere, in a day years ago when he slipped up and lost his Sophie, his Sophia Rose. For a time, he thought he loved another. But now, he was certain he never could. Sophia was more than his love – she could not compare to such a weak and common emotion. No, she was his soul, his everything. It had been years since they'd fought and split, but not a day went by where he didn't think about her. He was better now, he knew. Time had worked in his favor, had made him stronger, more controlled, more ruthless. When he found her – for he would not rest until he did – he would not be the embarrassment she had once known.
But searching... that was the tricky part. The Kawani lands alone were so vast, and its inhabitants so numerous, he'd had absolutely no luck in finding any hint of her. No one he'd come across had seen her or knew her, and a few of them never would – of that, he made certain, and he bowed his head at the memory, remembering their weight upon his antlers.
He stirred, dropping the recollections and the regret he still felt for that fateful day. Now was not the time to brood. It was a new morning, and a new opportunity to find her.

 It was so nice outside; so very nice. Bellezza smiled at the birds, and the way the wind swept up her hair. But, that was the only thing that seemed to make her smile lately. She had stayed within the lands of her herd, watching and caring for her two little girls as they grew up. But, as soon as they were old enough, and had started to venture and explore their own, to learn of their own paths. That left mother, dear small Bellezza, to go and search for that missing wicker basket that she knew existed. She left without informing Baroque, though knew that he would search for her in response. But she was alone right now, looking around and searching with blind eyes.
A small sigh escaped her lips, before she dipped her head down toward the ground to stare at the grass. It was somewhat trampled. But she was certain several other creatures traveled these paths. Flicking her long tail, which caused the ringlets to bounce and shift. Nothing. She shifted, before letting her gaze linger up toward the sky for a moment. At least it was still bright out. She breathed out a gentle sigh, before moving deeper west. Anywhere she could search for her Berceuse.
Who the hell had taken her baby? Who would do that?Ryuukishin I'll bring Vanwyn in later. xD

Feeling sated from his latest graze, Giuseppe picked up a brisk trot, his senses alert for signs of others. He detested company: it was a hatred that had planted itself when he was a foal, and it had found ample room to grow and flourish as he time passed. If he were free to choose, he would chase all the world from him, all but Sophia. He didn't have that privileged, though, did he? Not while she was gone. But the disgust he felt at seeking others out would be nothing compared to the elation he would feel once he found her. He could socialize with those he hated, if only for her.
Soon, a sigh reached his ears and with it, the clip of hooves. He turned so that his path would take him to the wanderer, but stopped short, his eyes wide and his breathing shallow when he caught sight of the purple mare. How she resembled his Sophia... her curls and hues and pelt were easily recognized as one belonging to Sophia’s line, and she was the first and only clue he’d found all these years. He recovered and went to her directly.
“Who are you?” he asked, his gaze intense and his voice rough and brutal in its demand. Sophia had been raised apart from her biological parents, but he knew she held some grudge against them.The mare could lead him to her if that was the case and, if not, at least to the rest of her family.

Bellezza glanced around, before her ears pinned somewhat. She reared up toward the sky, letting her nose touch as far up as she could, breathing in the smells the winds brought to her. A small sigh left her as she landed, and danced upon her hooves for several quiet moments. No smell of familiarity. Nothing. She had searched her basket grounds several times; looking for any sign that anyone would have come and taken her baby. Nothing. She had found nothing there as well. Nothing to help her find out just who took her baby. And it was destroying her from the inside out. Shaking her head, she sighed and lowered her gaze toward the ground, her jaw gritting. She had to find him... Just had to find her little lost baby boy.
Just as she was about to turn and continue on, a voice stopped her. Bellezza turned quickly, her ears snapping up, ready to flee if needed. Not far from her was a stallion, one with rather unique features. His scales showed he was a Kirin, but something about him screamed Cerynei as well ( the horns and tail perhaps? ). His markings were harsh, but his eyes were as blue as the sky. She blinked, confused by his demanding tone of knowing who she was. Why would it matter? She tilted her head, before turning to fully face him, her long ringlets bouncing somewhat against her neck as she tried to comprehend just what he wanted.
"Me? I... I am Bellezza... can I help you, stranger?" She asked, her voice curious and somewhat on edge.

Bellezella. The name was foreign to his tongue and unknown to his memory. Giuseppe had never heard of her before, but it didn’t mean she didn’t have what he was looking for. A dark uncertainty gripped him, however, before he could continue his inquiries. Sophia had been abandoned, and it could very well have meant that others in her family were scattered, too. Would he lose his clue as soon as he found it? There was only one way to find out.
“Sophia Rose,” he said, looking hard at the mare for any sign of recognition. “Do you know her?”

Bellezza watched him with a critical look in her eyes. Something about him seemed off. She may not have been old; and may not have a ton of experiences, but there was just... something. She gulped, her ears pinning back, and tail giving a small flick at the feel. Her ringlets shifted slightly as she took a half step back, trying to figure out just what was going on in the world around her. She gulped, her body on edge, skin crawling. There was something... something horribly wrong. She could feel it. Could feel everything moving around her to the point that fear crawled over her body.
As soon as the name left his lips, Bellezza's ears snapped up, and she became alert. Her eyes flickered as she glanced around, searching for the mare. Sophia had ruined her life as a foal. And now she was scared that the mare was on her way back to do a round two. But, when there was no sight of silver ringlets and blood, she calmed down some. Though the stallion seemed... just as frightening. "... No..." She said, her voice quivering, the lie easily detectable.

The mare’s response was immediate and hard to ignore – based on her actions alone, he could only imagine her relationship with Sophia had been far from pleasant. A grin pulled his lips at the thought, but though he was genuinely amused, his expression was far from comforting.
“You lie,” he said, accentuating the statement with a sharp dip of his head. The shadowy tines of his antlers were thrust towards her, but it was no more than a threat, for he made no real effort to come in contact with her. There was no tree behind her, no wall, nor anything that would prevent her from fleeing. But there was nothing that would stop him from giving chase as well, if it came to it.
“What is your relationship with her?”

Bellezza took a step back as soon as he uttered the two words. She gulped thickly, her ears pinning back to her head. What was this... How did he... She knew she wasn't subtle about it, but there was no way. no way that someone who knew Sophia was here. She shook her head slowly, before steeling herself. She couldn't allow someone to run her off. She had to be getting close to Berceuse. Had to be getting close to finding her missing son. Her only son. Clenching her jaw, the mare held her head up and stared at the stallion with as much of a glare as she could. "What does it matter to you? She's an evil mare with a life filled with disapointments and death."
Bellezza wasn't usually such a... dark mare. She usually was happy and sweet. Even to Sophia. She had stopped her father from killing the mare when she was a foal. But, right now, she wanted her son. She wanted her baby boy back and no stallion who knew that wretched creature was going to stop her. Sending him another look, though her heart was beating so fast it made it hard to breath, Bellezza attempted to walk around him, the scar on her shoulder from Sophia throbbing in her head.
