It was one of those days where the world just wanted to smack you upside the head for whatever you had done the previous day. A day where you fell on your butt and had to get back up about fifty times. A day where everything seemed to have a downside, but not an upside. A day of mistakes, trips, and the occasional nut kick for the maybe not so unfortunate male. But within the settlement of Yera in the scorching hot nation of Tale, one very chipper miss wasn't going to let this day drag her spirits down!

Because it happened to her every single day...

"Wow, look at all that broken pottery!" Pahana cooed, her eyes resting upon a mess of pots that a neighbor had dropped not too long before she had passed. It was a shame to see such pretty works of art break in such a way, before they could really get used. Oh well, fate wasn't one to be as kind as she was cruel. She twirled and moved forward, slipping upon a stray pebble. "Yeeek! Ooops!" She cried, landing flat on her side. Aaaah, another perfect wipe out! She should tell her brother!

Kaalnia found herself back on the edge of the Tale on the way back to Amara. Why? She didn't know, nor did she care. Didn't matter either way, because this time she was going to find that earthling man she had met the first time. He'd said he made clothes, right? Well she needed some new ones. Hers were all threadworn and ladies did NOT like threadworn. Not even in the right places.
So she would get him to make her clothes and maybe she would put a few special things on the clothes, like shiny rocks or feathers. Something to make her more impressive.
Though what she really wanted was that headdress that she had seen a while back! That was one sexy headdress! But she didn't have any big feathers or anything, and ferns wilted and rotted, so they wouldn't do. Wilting was NOT the impression she wanted ladies to have of her.
So just some clothes with maybe a bangle or two. That was all, she supposed.

She cautiously ventured into the desert. He had to live nearby, didn't he? Whatsisname clothing maker?

She found herself looking at a settlement, unlike any settlement she had ever seen. Well, heck! She'd found something! And...
She picked up a piece of broken pottery.
It was a shame it was broken, but it was pretty. Maybe she could get it put onto some new clothes...?
Thought of clothes left her mind as a 'yeek, oops' rang out, drawing her attention to something that made Kaalnia's face bloom into a rakish smile.
A girl. A leaf girl. A sexy, spicy, lucky leaf lady! Or so Kaalnia hoped.
"Heeeeeey"[/b[ she said, crouching down near Pahana, grinning, "Did you just fall from the sky, sweetheart? Because you're like something out of my dreams!"

...
Eh, it needed work.

"No, but I once fell out of a tree and landed on someone's Kinfa!" Pahana giggled as she pushed herself up onto her knees. That was a good day! The Kinfa was pink, purple and orange, and it tried to eat her! Ha! Her mom was scared out of her mind! She adjusted her top and blew at tuft of brown hair out of her eyes, before locking gazes with Kaalnia and gasping.

"You're an Alkidike!" She squealed, absolutely enthralled. What a surprise to see someone like her brother all the way out here! She leaned forward and poked Kaalnia's antenna with a chipper little giggle. "My brother lost one of these because of a big fight, so I can't poke both anymore, but your's are-" She paused, her stare going blank, before smiling. "What were you saying about falling from the sky in your dreams...?" Short attention span, level 9000

Wow.
"You fell on a Kinfa?" Kinfa were those birdie things, weren't they? But couldn't they fly? How did you fall on one?
Her antennae was poked and she reflexively covered it. It wasn't entirely a pleasant feeling to get poked in the antennae.
Hot damn it, kaa, this is a lady. Let her do what she wants she thought, scolding herself as she left her antennae unprotected.
"Oh, yeah, I am." she grinned, "Bet you haven't seen one before, huh? Go ahead, take your time. Theres a lot of me to take in..." she frowned, "... Wait, brother?" Ohhhhh, she must have met a halfbreed alkidike or something. Or, wait, she was related to one because Brother was the opposite of sister, wasn't it? She thought so, anyway. Maybe?
Or was that Uncle?
"...Well, I have both of mine, so you don't have to worry" She had no idea why the lady would be worried but whatever! Gals always worried. Kaalnia didn't worry, but she knew lots of women who did. And that was fine with her. The world was full of things to worry about, she just wasn't going to have any of it. Hell, she'd be happy to take their midn off of it.
"Huh?" did she have to explain her pickup line? Crap. That wasn't supposed to happen, but hey. It happened more often than she would like.
"Well, I was just sayin' that you're pretty, like a dream girl. That fell from the stars..."
Yeah. She'd have to work on that line.
"I'm saying you're special, sweetheart" she said with a wink.

Pahana blinked, tilted her head, and smiled one of the most ridiculous smiles you had ever seen. Was this girl calling her pretty? That was so nice of her! Everyone here called her ditsy or clumsy or bossy, but never pretty! Well, her mom did that, but of course her mother would think she was pretty! Moms were supposed to love you and call you nice names! She shook her head and poked Kaalnia's antenna again.

"Thank you!" She chirped, giggling. "You're special, too! Because you're an Alkidike!" All Alkidikes were special, especially her big brother! He was the most special of all the Alkidikes! She nodded to herself before, once again, her mind became filled with something else other than the current conversation. She grinned and grabbed Kaalnia's shoulders. "Do you like to dance?" She exclaimed.

"Awww, you're welcome!" she said, trying to ignore the sensation of having one's antennae poked. But aside from that little flaw, she thought she might have stumbled onto a great chick to pick up. Pretty, feminine, and silly. Could be fun! Maybe not spicy, but sweet worked too!

"Why yes, I am special." She was about to follow up with another godawful pickup line when Pahana made her an offer she couldn't refuse.
"Dance?" Mother Aisha yes! "I love to dance! Dancing is my life, sweetheart, it's my soul!" She looped an arm around Pahana's waist and the other on the leaf girls' shoulder, "What," she said, leaning in close to the other girl's face flirtaciously, "You wanna find out just how special this Alkidike can be?"
Nailed it.

Pahana giggled. What a lovely girl she had found! She was funny, looked like Yaholo, and could dance! Maybe today wasn't going to be so crazy after all! She let out an excited little squeal as Kaalnia looped her arm around her waist and ultimately blushed bright red. Ooo, was this what her mother called flirting...? Emerald eyes looked Kaalnia over and gleamed. She would have to admit, this girl was very pretty, as pretty as she was! Up until this point she had never thought of another girl as attractive, and now that that door had been opened, it felt sort of...

Right...

"Yeah! Show me just how special you are!" She replied, placing her arms gently around Kaalnia. "Just be careful, I can be reeeaaallly clumsy..."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 05, 2013 8:12 pm

"Oh yeah? Well then~" Kaalnia pulled her close, til they were nearly body to body. It seemed like a very forward move, but as she twirled the two of them around and around, the close hold was more practical- it kept them both from falling apart from the centrifugal forces.
Not that Kaalnia wasn't enjoying the body against hers. Oh yes, this was going very well. She was, however, enjoying just moving. She led Pahana (as best she could) through weaving movements to a tune neither heard. It was just energy, right from the soul.
After a series of complicated (and completely unplanned- she was just going by whatever she felt like doing) moves, she bent Pahana over backward in the sort of lover's hold you see in tang. She held her, their faces mere centimeters away.
"Pretty special, huh?" she said, grinning, flushed, and slightly out of breath. "Did I just give you the best dance you've ever had, or what?"
Suffice to say, she was feeling pretty good right now. ********. She loved dancing.

Pahana's hair was coming undone, her face was as red as a fresh ripe berry, and all she could do was grin. Who was this girl? Where had she been all this time! She was an incredible dancer, just like her aunt was! Could her brother have met this girl and not told her about her? No, Yaholo would tell her about the most amazing dancer ever! He wasn't that mean! Then... That meant... This girl was someone her brother didn't know...

And that meant that she was all hers!

"That was incredible! I've never danced so well in my life!" She exclaimed, giggling. "What's the name of this amazing dancer who I have had my feet whisked off the ground by?" She fluttered her eyelashes in a teasing fashion. It was fun being this cute! She should do it more often!

SCORE.
"Thank you" she said, pulling the leaf girl back upright, their faces again close.
"My name's Kaalnia, and I can do that whenever you want" she gave the girl a grin and a wink.

This was going really well. She might actually manage to get a date! "And what is the name of the beauty before me?"
REALLY WELL!

Normally, by this stage, she was alone with a stinging cheek.

"Pahana, and I'll gladly dance with you again any day!" She replied, winking back. She sure hoped she had just made a friend, perhaps even something more if it ended up being that way, which she was finding herself considering. How would she go about this? She thought Kaalnia was pretty and an amazing dancer... What more was there to want out of life? Rhythm, talent, and beauty! All you would ever need in one person!

"How long are you planning on staying in Tale, Kaalnia?" She asked, fluttering her eyes. "I could travel out to see you in Jauhar, too, if you aren't staying too long... But my big brother would have to guide me..." She whined a little, although somewhat falsely. "He's a guard... He doesn't think I'm strong enough to go anywhere on my own!"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 11, 2013 8:28 am

"Awww." said Kaalnia, grinning. She was so cute. What a catch for Kaalnia, what a catch!
"Well, Pahana, I can guide you too, you know. I'm big and strong." She gave her another little twirl just to prove it.
Brothers were male, right? So she had a brother in Jahuar? Cool! Maybe she could meet him sometime.
"I wasn't going to stay long" she moved her face closer, letting her antennae tickle Pahana's back, "But... I could be convinced to stay longer, ya know!"
Kaalnia liked Pahana, even if she was a bit on the short side. She was pretty, she was cute, and she could dance. Dancing, to Kaalnia, was a very important thing. Not since Tzofi had she had so much fun in a dance.
Oh yeah. Tzofi.
She decided to stop thinking about Tzofi because that wasn't fun and Pahana, pretty exotic spicy leaf girl she was, was fun.
"So... Convince me" her voice was almost a purr. She didn't know how she could be convinced, but the unknowable possibilities intrigued her. Things were going great!

Pahana's eyes gleamed. A fantastic dancer and an excellent guide! How could this girl get any better? She giggled at Kaalnia's purr and moved to hug her.

"My cuddles are the best in town, Kaalnia!" She said, nuzzling Kaalnia. "If you stay a little longer, we could dance in the trees or wander down to the marketplace for a snack, I'm sure you must be hungry from traveling so far!" She bat her eyelashes towards Kaalnia. "We have excellent fruit here... Why not share one with me...?"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 29, 2013 9:27 am

"Well, then! I'm lucky I found you!" she hugged Pahana back, feeling slightly smug. Aww yeah. Look at her! Pahana was all over her!
"And I said to convince me, and you went above and beyond!" she said, pulling back to look at Pahana's absolutely adorable gemmed face. "'cause all of those things sound awesome. Lets do them all. You and I."
She felt like her head was in the clouds. This was going to be a fun day. This might even be a fun longer than that! Snacks and dances and exotic leaf girls. Perfect.

"Okay, then we should hurry!" Pahana chirped, smirking. "The marketplace is where we get all the best things, and if we don't get there soon, they might run out of all the good fruit!"

She stood, smiled, and pulled Kaalnia forward.
"Come on, we'll race there together!" She said.
