No we don't. mrgreen
xD Possibly, American culture isn't as interesting to a lot of people because they either ARE American or hate America (or a combination of the two).

The interesting thing about the United States is that it's a relatively young country. Our history only goes back some 200 years.
And another thing is that we get a lot of our traditions and culture from other places, depending on from whence our ancestors came.
My Chinese teacher was actually talking about how she thinks there isn't really such thing as "American food," unless you're talking about fast food.
I would be inclined to agree, but I do think that there are things like corn on the cob, and, um... microwaved broccoli florets?... that might be considered American food. Just, like, foods that we eat all the time that you don't get in fast food restaurants. A lot of vegetables, I guess. Baked potatos could be another.
EDIT: Oh! And grilled cheese.
What is American food, anyway?

50 -- everything in the continental US except for DC (not a state), plus Alaska and Hawaii.
I guess people get 48 from not counting Alaska and Hawaii... as for 52, maybe they're counting DC and Puerto Rico? confused

Is it?
I thought it was technically not part of a state but its own federal district.
