• Shintenshin no Jutsu – Mind Body Switch Technique – C Rank
The Mind Body Switch Technique is the signature ability of the Yamanaka clan. Originally, this ninjutsu was suited for intelligence-gathering missions rather than battle. With it, a ninja sends his mind into a target's body supplanting the target's mind with their own. The user transfers their consciousness to the target, giving them complete control of the body for a short period of time. While in control of the body, the user is able to communicate with the target. As the user propels all of their mental energy, the shooting range and number of hits are considerably limited. It is also possible for the user to switch bodies with the target. This has great strategic value when used on a team-mate as neither body is left incapacitated and they may also make use of the user's abilities as well as their own while doing this. To remain inconspicuous when spying, the user can perform this technique on an animal, such as a hawk, which they can use to do aerial reconnaissance.
Normally, their original body is left defenseless while this technique is active, leaving it susceptible to attack until they return. The mind transfer moves in a straight direction and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Because of these reasons, it should only be used on immobilized targets. Similarly, if the opponent's will is strong enough, they can force the user from their body, as Sakura Haruno did to Ino Yamanaka during the Chūnin Exams. Lastly, should any physical injury befall the victim's body while the mind-link is active, it would cause the user's body to also receive those same injuries. This can be rectified if user cancels the technique before the victim's body receives the damage.
• Shinten Bunshin no Jutsu - Mind Clone Switch Technique – A Rank
This technique allows the user to transfer their consciousness into more than one target, giving them complete control of the bodies for a short period of time. Like the Mind Body Switch Technique, the user's body is left defenseless while the technique is in use. Unlike the Mind Body Switch, this technique can travel in a curved line.

Through the use of the clans unique gifts the user can project their thoughts into a targets mind, as well as receive theirs. Without a chakra antenna the user can only communicate with those nearby maxing out at about 200 yards from the user. This ability is also limited by the skill of the user, the more minds they try to reach the harder it is and the more mental strain the user is placed under. It is also possible to make the flow of information one way in order to issue orders without feedback; by placing a hand on a person’s head it is possible to make them the primary broadcast point so that a commander can issue orders directly.
• Yamanaka Clan Mind Reading Ability – A Rank
The user enters the target's subconscious by placing a hand on the target's head and extracts any information needed, even if the target has forgotten it or has had it blocked. A special device can be used to decrease the time it takes to read the target's mind and allows other ninja to assist. Memories that have mental blocks on them will require longer periods of time to probe through and obtain however. Depending on the skill of the user and their level of experience, they will be able to go through many days’ worth of the target's memories in a matter of moments and sift through until they find what they want while others may have to go through each memory in its entirety.
• Yamanaka Clan Chakra Sensing – B Rank
The Yamanaka clan is capable of sensing chakra in an area around them, up to roughly 200 yards, though if they focus on a tighter range they get a lot more detail. It is possible to do while moving however the more the user has to think about the harder it gets. This ability, like most of the Yamanaka abilities, can also be improved by a chakra antenna greatly increasing the range of the technique and the detail acquired. Normally the Yamanaka clan only perceives chakra in general ways, for instance they will know that the approaching source is a living thing and its general shape, or if it is an attack. They can see the elements in chakra as well, such as knowing a fire technique is a fire technique without having to see it. The more they are moving though the harder it is to focus lowering their effective range.
Ninjutsu:
• Kawarimi no Jutsu - Change of Body Stance Technique ~ E Rank
Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.
• Henge no Jutsu - Transformation Technique ~ E Rank
Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.
• Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing – E Rank
Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
• Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking – E Rank
A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.
• Kai - Release - C Rank
Kai is a Ninjutsu which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
• Shunshin no Jutsu – Body Flicker Technique – D Rank
The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as “Shisui of the Body Flicker” likely referring to this technique.
Genjutsu:
• Zenshou Naikai - Shattered Inner World – B Rank – Custom
This genjutsu utilizes the Yamanaka's natural ability for telepathy in combination with powerful genjutsu. After preforming the seals the user holds the last seal and send their chakra out to three targets around themselves within 25 feet. The first thing that will happen is that they will become extremely dizzy and their vision will fragment. Then they will fall unconscious trapped in the genjutsu. Time in the genjutsu is accelerated by a factor of 5. Once inside the Genjutsu Setsuna will utilize his telepathic powers to connect the minds of his victims and draw out their strongest memories, in order to conclude the Genjutsu the targets must pass through the memories as a ghost, each member must go through the other two's memories. However it is block-able by applying the Kai technique at the very onset of the technique. Otherwise there is no way for the afflicted to bring themselves out, another individual may bring them out quite easily though.
• Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu – Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique – C Rank
A Genjutsu that allows one to trick others into mistaking the place they're in for another. This technique's main feature is that it can be cast over an extensive surface, therefore any and all who step into the illusion's area of effect will fall under the spell. That said, it might not work so well on people who are well-versed or otherwise skilled in genjutsu.
Taijutsu:
• Odoruken – Dancing Fist – B Rank
This style of Taijutsu prioritizes evasion; offensively this style utilizes physical pressure points to do its damage. Utilizing the forward knuckles they will strike at nerve clusters in the body in order to disable a limb, and with enough skill can disable organs. This style got its name as Dancing Fist for the somewhat rhythmic movements of its user. It should be noted that overly large or bulky individuals gain a lot of natural defense from this technique as the pressure points are deeper making them much harder to hit though just being tone is not enough to offer a significant advantage. Also it should be noted that a user of Raiton chakra can amplify the effects of his or her attacks by channeling the Raiton energy to the strike points. It should be further noted that by utilizing Senbon the user can essentially preform acupuncture on the fly further disabling the target.
• Futon: Odoru no Yaiba – Wind Release: Dance of Blades – A Rank
This technique is an adaptation of the fundamental style of Odoruken combining the chakra scalpel technique. Utilizing Futon chakra the user will coat their hands much like they do for the chakra scalpel technique. The primary difference is that they are going for surface cuts with this technique and not the internals. The wind around the hands is quite powerful and with the right skill can extend to about 6 inches off the hand. In this form the hands will seem to be covered in a white chainsaw like appearance with all the chakra flowing from the tips of the fingers back to the wrist.
Iryo Ninjutsu
• Chakra no Mesu – Chakra Scalpel – B Rank
This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.
The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.
Adding to the technique's blade like quality, it also appears to give the user an increased level of durability over their chakra clad hands. Using this, Kabuto was able to clash with Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi while in the hands of Itachi.
• Saikan Chūshutsu no Jutsu – Delicate Illness Extraction Technique – B Rank
When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. Then, using a chakra scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. The fluid then draws the poison out of the affected part(s) and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. This technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison.
After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine after it has been analyzed. This can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis, incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.
• Shōsen no Jutsu – Mystical Palm Technique – A Rank
This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. Kabuto Yakushi demonstrated the ability to use it a short distance away from the target instead of through direct contact.
By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state. Although this is usually undesirable, Kabuto once effectively used this side effect to get Kiba Inuzuka out of his way.
• Infūin: Kai – Yin Seal: Release - S Rank
After focusing and storing an amount of chakra over a period of time in the White Strength Seal on the user's forehead, the user releases the chakra with this technique, dispersing the seal and pumping the chakra back into the users body. Thanks to released chakra from the seal, Tsunade is able to use unique techniques. Firstly shown, she has used this stored chakra to perform the Creation Rebirth technique on herself and later on a separate occasion healed a vast amount of people through Katsuyu. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Tsunade is also able to use the Strength of a Hundred Technique after releasing the seal.
• Sōzō Saisei - Creation Rebirth - S Rank
The absolute pinnacle of medical ninjutsu, created by the greatest of medical ninja, Tsunade, it is the ultimate regeneration technique. By releasing the great volume of chakra stored in her forehead at once, the body's cell division is forcibly stimulated by proteins, reconstructing all organs and all tissues making up the human body. The technique itself does not regenerate the old cells, rather it hastens the creation of new ones through division. If this technique is used, a body whose vital organs are so gravely injured that it cannot bear it any longer will be instantly restored to its uninjured state. As long as Tsunade has chakra it is impossible for her to die by any means, as such she gains a form of "immortality" throughout the duration of the technique.
However, a body's cells can only split a certain number of times in a lifetime, and by speeding up this process, Tsunade is basically shortening her natural lifespan. To what degree is unknown, but what is clear is that it is not great enough to cause her to die in battle.
Fuinjutsu:
• Byakugō no In – White Strength Seal – B Rank
A seal developed by Tsunade that is reputed to be the pinnacle of chakra control. By storing chakra over a period of time, the user creates a seal on their forehead which keeps the chakra undisturbed for future use. Once the seal is formed, the users already impressive chakra control allows them to perform techniques without any wasted stamina or chakra. When released, the stored chakra goes back into the body, greatly increasing chakra flow.

1: The stationary devices which are much bigger are attached to two batteries and has a headset that covers the upper half of the user's face completely, this device can connect with the full distance covering absolutely massive areas easily reaching between cities.
2: The portable version however, is much smaller and only has a wire running from the device to the shinobi's head and can be carried on their back. This version allows for telepathy between a modest area, reaching roughly one logical area away from the user. Note can be summoned by scroll

This device is used by the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force and is located in the Konohagakure Intelligence Division. It is used to amplify the Mind Reading technique. Background:
~Setsuna’s Mother~
In order to understand Setsuna you have to start with his mother, Inohana. Inohana had been born to the Yamanaka Clan of Konoha. When she came of age she joined the ranks of the Shinobi and up until her late Chunnin years she was a very average Shinobi. She however was incredibly beautiful; her final mission for Konoha was to infiltrate the land of lightning, and to gather Intel from one of the nobles. The infiltration was easy, her beauty made that simple. The problem was that she fell in love; the confliction in her over this was massive. In the end the decision was made for her, Konoha deciding that she may have decided to switch and sent another agent to check on her, she had already given birth to Setsuna, and upon Konoha’s discovery of this fact she was targeted for retrieval or death. With this revelation she had no choice but to take refuge with Kumogakure, they accepted her in exchange for a great deal of Intel. She could never leave the village, nor could she ever see her love again, but at the very least Setsuna would be able to live.
~Early Life to Gennin~
Setsuna’s early life was fairly normal once they were established in Kumogakure, most of the kids accepted him as one of their own, and though his mother seemed to be looked at with fear or hatred he never felt the same burden. When he began his training as a Shinobi Inohana began to teach him the Yamanaka clan techniques. He was good, particularly at the support techniques. At the academy it was found that he was a prodigy when it came to chakra control, he graduated early at age ten and was moved into team 4 to begin his Shinobi life as a Gennin.
~Gennin to Chunnin~
Team 4 began their journey as gennin in a fair bit of normalcy. Setsuna, Shirin, and Tsuki made the perfect match. Setsuna taking up the support role while the other two did most of the fighting, it often made Setsuna feel a bit useless and it wasn’t until his instructor noticed that he had a talent for movement that he began his intensive Taijutsu training. Without which he would never have passed his Chunnin exam. And though he and his team passed on their first attempt Setsuna was still by far the youngest at only 13.
~Chunnin to Current~
As a Chunnin he was selected by the Kumogakure anbu to join the elite hunter ninja. And for the next year he trained relentlessly never seeing those that he loved. Unknown to Setsuna his mother had gotten sick, and when he finally returned from his training he found her nearly dead. At the tender age fourteen he realized that even with all of his medical knowledge he couldn’t save her. When she passed he was broken, and Shirin was there to pick up the pieces. For the next three years whenever they were both in the village they spent an endless amount of time together. They were rapidly falling in love though it took them forever to admit it. Unfortunately even that couldn’t last, while on a mission near the fire country Shirin’s team was nearly killed, Shirin herself had been taken captive. Kumogakure’s first response was to send in the Hunter ninja, Setsuna was already on mission in that area and received his orders. He was to take any measures necessary to ensure that the information Shirin held did not fall into enemy hands. Upon arrival Setsuna saw that a rescue attempt would be impossible, even still he fought with himself over his decision, and in the end it was Shirin that decided it for him. Using one of the enemy ninja’s bodies he killed her, and then made his escape. After he returned to the village he requested some time away from the Hunter Ninja and was granted it. Now he sits waiting trying to figure out his future and looking for a way to atone for the sin of failing to save his own mother, and for the sin of killing the woman he loved.
