This is a bar held in the Lamia Scale. With a very nice decor, the bar presents nice liquor, alcohol, and booze. For those who don't have a taste for alcohol and underaged drinkers are served a separate menu from the bartender.

Mark of Embodiement
Stepping into the all too familiar building Ray instantly felt at home. The bar was his favorite place to be. He wasn't a drinking man, he just enjoyed the stories. Taking up his position behind the bar to serve drinks he always charged his customers one story and a dollar for their drink. Never anything else. So when a little girl sat down and asked for a rather absurd drink Ray was all too intrigued. He handed her a little pop and listened in on her story. Avoiding the dollar on the counter. She went on about how her parents were trying to punish her for not watching the cat. When it was actually her brothers duty. She was very stressed about this, and Ray couldn't help but smile. He nudged her out the door and told her to go beat up her brother and get him to do his job, then Ray returned to his at the bar. Washing the cups, and chatting with his close friends.
Geno slowly walked in his bandaged ratty and tattered like his clothes he had a few blood stains and dried blood. Geno seemed calm as he took a seat directly across from ray and sighed. " made a decent profit, and im getting close to becoming a better mage for the guild ray. how have you been since my last visit?" Geno asked as he looked at ray genos wore his mask hiding from the world only his one eye visible.
Ray looked at him and smiled. "Hello Geno. I've been good. Actually I just overheard a rumor that theres a big group of random mages from all guilds meeting in the streets of Magnolia.Says their lookin for any mages willing to join them. And...I heard a few guild masters signed on. Whatcha think they're up to?" Ray was just finishing cleaning a glass when he poured Geno a drink of Dragon's Spit. A famous drink all across Fiore. Passing him the drink, Ray leaned on the counter to listen to Geno.
Geno looked at ray his one eye dim and calm as he spoke. " i have been getting a bad feeling, its hard to explain its almost like something my father once showed me." Geno said calmly as he looked at ray and politely refused the drink geno thought about the group of people who must be gathering and he smiled " i say we go check out these people that are gathering who knows maybe there are new mages we can get a hold of ." Geno stood shouldering his sheathed blade.
"Fair enough." Ray agreed. Pouring out the drink he left the bar to the capable hands of his friend standing next to him. Ray grabbed his coat and slung it over his shoulder. "Chances are the guild masters are probobly thinking the same thing. I can't wait to meet them for the first time." Ray was happy, opening the door for Geno he left to Magnolia Streets.
Sonata listened to ray talk about how the only thing they were really sticklers on was keeping the guild clean and then she tensed up remembering how her late grandmother was on cleaning. The woman was obsessed with cleaning and often Sonata would be blamed and punished for any mess made in her house hold. When Ray mentioned other guilds Sonata shook her head. "i thank you for the knowledge Ray, but if the guilds are anything like what they used to be i-i don't think the other three are good options." From what Sonata knew Fairy Tail was one for violent parties and had demolished many things during their missions, Blue Pegasus was full of perverts or womanizers depending on how you looked at it, and Raven Tail was the dark guild silently reeking havoc.
When Elly stared at Sonata she felt herself growing uncomfortable until the woman spoke. Witnessing the woman struggling to pull up a black flame Sonata nearly gasped in realization. When the woman asked what this magic was Sonata furrowed her brow and lightly rubbed the back of her head for a moment. "In a broad sense it is lost magic something documented into history books that most normal people can only read and dream about. However the magic it's self is called God Slaying magic as a whole, in your case you are the Flame God Slayer, and I am the Wind God Slayer. I've never tested it out but from what rumors i've heard our power is on par with if not greater than Dragon Slayers." Sonata for a moment regretted what she'd said, she had a habit of making things to overly detailed and hoped Elly would understand what she said. She didn't know where Elly had come across her magic but Sonata herself had learned it from a book with many many nights of training until she collapsed. She knew about her magic from a book and the roughly pieced together history the book offered but in truth Sonata only knew what Scholars of old knew about her magic.

'Flame God Slayer Magic' That was it, that was the answer Elly had been searching for, "Thank you. Grandpa said it looked like magic he'd seen once...Slayer magic...but black was wrong for what he'd seen....it has a name though...it's not wrong." Again, her way of saying it was odd but the fact that it had a name meant to her that it was a real magic...in some way it made her feel more real herself. Plus knowing the name of her magic meant she could study it and learn to use it better, she could probably even learn a thing or two from Sonata. Where Sonata had learned all she knew from books, elly couldn't say where she'd learned her magic.
After her grandfather had taken her in Elly had started to run errands for the old man. She was more or less new to the world though, she could get the food, pay for it and bring it back well enough but simple things like not staying out too late or avoiding dark alleys wasn't something she'd relearned yet. She was attacked by three men, one had a knife and the other two seemed to be there to back him up. Elly, helpless, raised a hand to defend herself, as if by instinct, and the three men seemingly burst into flames...black flames. Remembering how it felt to do that she was able to recreate the black fire and eventually remastered it's basic uses. It seemed that the magic was something she had before she lost her memory. She didn't know how she'd learned the magic but she knew it as part of her own body, something that couldn't be taken away from her. Unlike her memory though it wasn't lost, her mind forgot it but her body didn't, instinct and old reflex reminded her and from there she was able to reconstruct it to some degree, though she couldn't say whether she'd mastered it to the point she had before. Her grandfather had asked her if the flame scared her at all, he'd seen her body, he knew about her burns, it would stand to reason she had some fear of fire after that...Elly had shaken her head, "You should know by now...I'm not afraid...besides, this fire is...warm..........my fire..."
Returning to the present Elly moved into the bar with her two companions and took a seat in there to await her promised meal. She heard Ray's suggestion about inspecting other guilds and shook her head, "I don't have the money to travel the country in search of employment...this guild is here, this guild will have to serve or none will." Unlike a lot of mages Elly wasn't looking for community or friendship or benefits, she was in search of employment and her only marketable skill was magic, any guild would serve her purposes, this one just happened to be the closest.
Ray watched the two as he walked behind his bar. He hadn't been here in a few days but he was glad that he was listening to the stories of the members again. He poured them both a drink of his choice and then set them in front of the two. Although Sonata denied food and a drink he was going to fix her up with both. Was it not justified that you eat with the guildmaster before joining his guild? Ray thought it was a good way to learn a lot about the new members, and now that he thought about it, he'd appreciate it if Toshi and Valen were here. At the time he was troubled with Geno but now he had a little bit of breathing room. Geno was doing his own thing. That was perfectly fine with Ray.
He listened to the two talk about their magics, but he didn't think much about it. He had heard of God Slayers a few times, it wasn't uncommon when he was listening to everyone's rumors at once. Now that he was actually standing next to the two that the rumors were about, he wasn't astonished. Without saying a word he disappeared behind the counter to prepare them some food. He wasn't quite sure what it was he wanted to serve them, but he figured he could find something to make here pretty quick. Grabbing all sorts of ingredients and making a slight ruckus he finally came out with two dishes of fried shrimp. Setting the two plates in front of them he let the two converse and he walked back to the other side of the bar. Cleaning out some empty glasses and tending to his hobby.
"Elly for work, and Sonata wants to be here because we're quiet. Respectable. Although I hope that whatever friendships you develop here will keep you tied down here. If there is nothing more to discuss I'm more than willing to get you both certified as Lamia Scale mages." He extended his hand to Elly first for her to shake, should she be ready she will find a guild tattoo of Lamia Scale's emblem appear on her body (roleplayer's digression on location.) After Elly came Sonata, and Ray extended his hand for her to shake.
Sonata listened to Elly and she heard her speak which made her happy. She felt useful because she'd given Elly the answer she was seeking. When Ray made her a drink she sighed, she'd told him she was fine without one, but that was mainly because she didn't have the money to pay him for anything. "i'm glad i could be of some help. Honestly there might not be a lot of books on the subject... I got mine on Sky-God-Slaying from my grandmother. Sonata didn't really wish to speak on her grandmother but she hoped to slightly help the God-Slayer girl figure out more about herself.
Whilst Ray was making food Sonata had drank from the glass, she'd lightly sipped on it not knowing if he was making her food as well. When he brought the food out she sighed. She'd was hungry and staring at the food wasn't helping but she didn't like taking things without paying for them. Finally though her hunger got the better of her and she slowly started eating. Part of her wondered what Ray thought of the two young women considering they had lost magic but both seemed to be in rough shape.
Whilst Ray spoke about how he hoped friendships would keep them tied to the guild Sonata smiled. Friendship was something she wanted all of her attempts to make friends within her own cousins were nothing short of disastrous. Assuming i make friends i think they will be something capable of making me doing anything for them." Sonata's statement would give Ray some insight onto his member. Taking Ray's hand tentatively Sonata shook it with a soft grip before a white Lamia Scale guild emblem appeared on her upper arm right below her shoulder.

Elly Flame God Slayer

When the food was set before her Elly dug in eagerly, normally she wasn't quite so quick to eat a meal but a couple of days and only a candle flame to eat had made her manners hard to remember. By the middle of the meal she'd slowed down, sighing and looking relieved. She took the last couple shrimp in her hand and baked them a bit more with her flames, the fire roaring with newfound energy, she always liked things on the well done side and cooking them with her own flames made them taste a bit better in her opinion. She munched through the last few shrimp before finally relaxing, her belly full for the first time in a while. Most of what she'd eaten since she left were stolen flames off torches or out of an inn's fireplace, or scraps, a few solid meals here or there but she couldn't keep a job for very long.
That had been easy, this man was friendly enough that was sure, generally people took one look at her and turned her away, women in all black with bandages over their face were poorly received and often she was turned down on the spot. Elly pulled her sleeve back and gave her left hand to Ray, while she did they'd both be able to see the mysterious brand burned into her arm, "LE" That brand is how her grandfather named her. Elly received her guild mark on the palm of her left hand and pulled her sleeve back down, "Now what?" She was unfamiliar with guild life so she didn't know exactly what her job would be or how to go about things.
Ray chuckled as Sonata sighed at being fed food. He merely said, "I'm not going to make any of you pay, ever. Perks of joining Lamia Scale. You just aren't allowed to complain about my cooking." He joked and continued cleaning. Then Sonata mentioned a little tidbit about herself. I'll have to watch out for manipulation then. He left the thought aside and focused on Elly who seemed to quite enjoy his cooking. "You do what you want. Of course that implies you wont start a war with another guild I hope. Mages usually begin taking up jobs in order to get an apartment but I've been working on setting up temporary beds here at the guild. You'll see them when you walk around. The guild isn't terribly big so I'll leave the tour to your own digression." With that Ray finished up his cleaning and leaned on the counter in front of Sonata and Elly. "Can I assist with anything else? Perhaps you two would like to go track down our other members to meet them?"
Watching Elly eat was astounding to Sonata, she'd lived off the lad long enough to know some of the things that were edible, but admittedly she'd gotten herself sick plenty of times from eating unsafe things. She eventually finished her portion of food as Ray spoke about how meals worked. "I-i just feel bad making you go through that effort. There was nothing wrong with the meal it was the best thing i've had since i left home honestly. I can't complain much about anything food wise i spent a week or so living off of winged fish, and i've eaten a lot of unhealthy items before." Sonata most likely would never complain to Ray or anyone for that matter if they did something nice for her that turned out wrong, or tasted funny, short of her parents she'd lacked a lot of nice caring people in her life so anything done out of kindness was shocking.
When Ray spoke telling Elly how guild life worked she smiled warmly knowing this place was a good selection. Sonata could tell this guild was going to be a safe haven that she could hopefully build a new beginning for herself. When Ray finished cleaning and asked if he could assist with anything else or see if they wanted help finding other members Sonata pondered it for a moment before making a statement. "locating other members might be a good idea, but i'm not too sure if anyone is around." Sonata knew Elly and Ray had stared at her arms and knew others would as well but she hoped that by finding others sooner rather than later either they would get staring out of their system or that they would get any bothersome questions out of the way. Elly seemed not to care about her arms and had scars of her own so she mustive known what it was like but Ray was a wildcard. Sonata was fairly sure Ray thought the same thing most other people did about her scars but didn't wish to pry or was to polite to pry amid the open area. She was not going to bother opening her personal can of worms quite yet by sharing her story until someone asked since it was a rather hard topic to bring up or discuss on her own accord.

Elly drank from the glass in front of her as Sonata spoke of eating flying fish, Elly could relate, though she was curious how someone who could eat wind could go hungry. She didn't dwell on the question too much, it was possible that was different between them. when her drink was finished Elly stood up, feeling revitalized from the meal, "I think a job is a good place to start, if I have money I don't need to rely on your charity, kind as it is." With that Elly headed for the doors of the bar, swinging them open and stepping through, this was a new beginning for her, she could make money, have a life...maybe even friends. She made her way toward the job board, eager to earn a bit of money for the first time in a while...."Oh...wait, I forgot..."
The door of the bar swung open again and Elly made her way back to Sonata and Ray. Elly looked up at Sonata again and thrust a hand out towards her for a handshake, her hand newly branded with Lamia Scale's Mark, "I always forget introductions, I need to remember....My name is Elly. If there's any way I can help feel free to ask, you helped me a lot..." She was speaking to Sonata, she'd also not introduced herself to Ray but...she forgot to.
