Naka hurried into the forest, pausing just inside to wave to the new buddy who was coming along with him. "Come on! I can't wait to see what's in here!" he called to the Togepi.

Naka's shout disturbed a Weedle from it's nap. The bug, who had been resting on a tree branch overhead, jumped in surprise at the loud noise, causing it to fall to the ground. More annoyed than hurt from the fall, it righted itself and charged at Naka, horn first.

Naka turned just in time to see the Weedle charging at him. He yelped and managed to throw himself out of the way just in time. "Ah! What was that for? I only wanted to explore!" he told the Weedle, who glared at him, apparently considered charging him again, then crawled off to go resume its nap.

"Ah! Wait for me!" Jubilee called out as she chased after her dungeon buddy. The togepi skidded to a stop when a weedle appeared, that weedle seemed extremely familiar. Once the bug pokemon crawled away, she ran up to the charmander. She offered a smile, "You have to be careful about the weedles," she warned, then, with a wave of a stick she found last time she entered the forest, she continued, "They're really, really mean."

Jubilee kept the stick in the air for a while. "A while" seemed to be enough for a butterfree to land on top on said stick. The sudden extra weight caused Jubilee to drop the item, and thus spooking the butterfree. Jubilee's eyes were glowing with optimism, she had never seen this pokemon before! Jubilee hastily picked up her stick and pointed it at the flying pokemon, "Hello!" she greeted.

The butterfree denied Jubilee's offer of friendship and slapped Jubilee's stick away before flying off. The togepi, though surprised by the butterfree's choice of action, was only focusing on her stick which was flying off to the next floor.
"Come back!" Jubilee called after the stick. The togepi grabbed onto her charmander friend and dragged him off along with her.

Naka watched the Butterfree with interest. It was a pretty pokemon, wasn't it? He wondered if it might want to be friends. But then it flew off and his new buddy dragged him onward before he could ask. He stumbled after the Togepi (he could pull really hard for such a little guy!) saying, "Whoah, hey, what's the rush?"

As they chased after the stick, they found a Caterpie had discovered it first. The bug was poking at the stick, and turned towards the two explorers as they neared it.

Naka saw the bug apparently trying to steal his buddy's stick. "Hey! You give that back!" he called to the bug, then ran at it to give it a good Scratch and chase it away. The Caterpie saw the sharp claws coming its way and rushed off fast, leaving the stick free to be recovered.

Jubilee hopped happily on the balls of her tiny stick as Naka scared off the caterpie. The togepi rushed up to the stick, icked it up, turned around and gave the charmander a hug, "Thank you!" she exclaimed, "I wouldn't know what I would do if I lose this stick!"

When Jubilee released Naka from her hug, she spotted another stick just lying around the dungeon floor, she picked it up and offered it to her friend, "Do you want this?" she asked cheerfully.

Naka hugged Jubilee back. "You're welcome! I'm always glad to help a friend!" Then he accepted the new stick. "OK! I'll borrow it for the dungeon, then you can have it back."

Naka took the stick and waved it around enthusiastically. "We'll be stick buddies! Maybe it will bring me luck." As he waved it around, it knocked into a tree branch, which shook lose an Oren berry. It fell, bopping Naka on the head before falling to his feet. Startled, Naka looked down, then grinned. "Hey, it's lucky already! It get me a berry!" he said as he picked it up.

Jubilee stared at the berry Naka found. "I don't think that berry is... good." she concluded, she was well aware that this forest has oren berries, "Maybe you could get it checked out later?" Jubilee smiled before glancing around the forest.
