The beach is mostly secluded from the rest of town, though it's just a short walk back to dock. It is ideal for a good get away, a home away from home. But the prices are atrocious to enter, and food and drinks are prohibited in attempt to keep the place tidy. Go to Balamb Docks

Squall once again checked all of the security checkpoints to see how the other two squad's were holding up. "Nida..." He paused to look at the pregnant woman that was being brought though, and shortly afterward a man was brought. "Did you not get everyone here already?" Nida turned to him, "Huh well yeah we did. But I guess there were some stragglers." "Did you check for any more on the way back here?" He asked as both citizens where helped into the makeshift camp, which would not last long if the tide came in. Squall thought perhaps that this location was supposed to test the cadets on how well they reacted to unexpected situations... Squall expected the tide to come. "Well, no. We were busy fighting through the flan." "What?!" Squall grimaced and shook his head, stepping forward to the very edge of the ramp leading back up to the town. Nida called out to him, "What are you gonna do?" Squall looked over his shoulder slightly, then shook his head. (I don't know.. something. You should have checked for more civilians... Idiot.)

Stumbling around at the top of the stairs was a fran that seemed to have followed the people, it started to lumber around for a bit. It didn’t seem to have any idea where it was going or what it was going to do, instead it stumbled around aimlessly. Squall shook his head and ascended the stairs, pausing when he saw a flan on the top of them. He glanced back down to the camp, the guards who had been up here had helped the others with the pregnant woman. The Cadet turned back to the flan, giving a testing swing of his gunblade before stepping forward to attack the lone flan. Squall gives pause when the creature does nothing after his swipe. He stares at it for a bit before poking it with the gunblade. Quite uncharacteristic, but there wasn't anyone watching. Squall turns to look towards the encampment, turning back to the gelatinous creature. He walks over and kicks it, in an attempt to knock it away. Sliding slightly after that kick, the fran’s eyes seemed to look at him for a moment. But like as if it was uninterested, it continued on it’s way to the stairs. Slighting bearing it’s teeth at Squall, it didn’t seem in a fighting mood… if nothing else it was like it was searching for something. He continued to watch the flan, it certainly was an oddity. The cadet steps to the side, mildly wondering what it thought it was doing. (What the hell? I have never seen one of these things not attack on sight.) He reached with the blade to poke it again. (Perhaps this one is more stupid than the normal flan...?)

As he pokes the fran again with his blade, the flan looks at Squall for a moment. After a moment of gliding softly, the fran hit the curve. Instead of trying to climb up it, it slid away from the stairs. It’s eyes continued to stare at Squall, but made no attack to him. Squall stood there as the flan crawled along, finally rolling his eyes at the creature he turned away. Looking at the goop on his blade, (That is disgusting...) He took out a cloth and began to try to get the goop off of his blade as he started to walk. The flan wasn't attacking, and by the time it went down the stairs at how slow it was going, the others would notice it and take care of it.

It seems Squall's judgement in the harmlessness of the Flan was a bit misjudged as he took glop from behind. He stumbled forward from the blow. Straightening, he rubbed the back of his neck, turning around to face the monster, gritting his teeth. He stepped forward, swinging his blade downward as it cut through the gelatinous monsters body, the sound of the gunshot ringing out as the gunblade's trigger was pulled. Lifting a foot he shoved the creature back with a well placed kick, knocking it back quite a bit. He then rushed up to the creature to deal more damage, dragging the blade and slicing in an upward swing. Quote: Squall takes Sneak Attack damage!
