 Powhatan had been on his own for quite some time now. He had traveled to a forest different from the one he had been born in. Like his father, he didn't like the trees much. He had difficulty navigating through them with his large body. But he liked the mystery they provided. He couldn't help pushing further and further into the forest, looking for interesting things and hopping over logs.
He hummed to himself as he went despite the difficulty the trees provided. Any minute now he would find something interesting. Maybe he could find a bear to challenge. His father had always warned him against provoking others, especially bears. But where was the fun in that? His father didn't understand because he was old, that was all.
"Alright bears, come out come out wherever you are!" he challenged the forest. When no response came he shrugged and continued to push his way through. But it seemed the forest had heard his challenge after all, because shortly after he had gotten himself stuck in between two trees. Oh this had to look silly. He could only hope that no one saw him now as he struggled to free himself.

 It was a sunny day and all was well in the forest. She was smiling to herself enjoying the comfort the forest provided. She loved all nature and seeked to protect it. She loved the forest as well as the grassy plains that she was so good at hiding in. She glanced around not having anything on her mind or any goals for the day. Not many lived out here and she was one with nature.
Hearing something in the distance she looks up her ears twitching picking up something. She comes upon a stallion who seems to have gotten stuck in a hard place. She eyes him and watches as he struggles to get free from the trees he is wedged between.

Powhatan stopped squirming, ready to give up. He had the oddest feeling that the forest was watching him. He was sure every creature in it was laughing at him. He turned his head slightly and something caught his eye. It was...a mare! She looked like she was a part of the forest herself and if his neck weren't cranked so hard he would look at her longer, but he lowered his head awkwardly.
"Funny, huh?" he mumbled, feeling a little angry but not wanting to show it, "do you think you could help me out?" He wasn't sure what she could do, but she looked like she could whisper to a tree and it would surely jump aside for her. He squirmed again, showing her that he was thoroughly stuck and hoping she could find it in her heart to help him. He didn't know what he would do if she decided to leave.
