 The sun had finally rose up in the sky. The gray, black, and white wild dog slowly made her way. She wasn't sure which way exactly she was going, but for the moment it didn't matter. Her mind was else where, and she kept having horrible dreams. She hadn't slept much. Her pale blue eyes scanned a crossed the land before she started moving in a trot. Her beads and feathers made slight protest as she moved.
Shaila started to hum as she moved since she didn't see anyone, not that she was looking. She just knew she had to leave from where she was. Her life had moved on fast, and it almost seemed as it was a dream in itself. Sometimes she couldn't pick what was real, and what wasn't.

 Whilst out and about today the brown dog had gotten separated from his companion and fellow bachelor, Haruki. Undoubtedly the maned wolf would find him before he got into trouble, or stuck his paw too far into his mouth. Ilarion wasn't worried that Haruki would find him when he was ready. Without having his friend underfoot though, left him with a bit of free time on his paws. With nothing better to do, the male went in search of others. Particularly females.
The sound of something caught his attention. It wasn't long before he spotted the grey female. He was in luck. "Helloooooo pretty lady!" Ilarion called out. "What's a lovely lady like you doing parts like these?"

As a voice filled Shaila's ears, her's went down and she almost froze, her humming stopped instantly. She peered around as she started to walk slower until the male came into her view.. "I-I was j-just walking" She said quietly. Her head dropped a little bit, and she finally stopped walking.
Her eyes fell to her paws as she sat there silently for a moment. She didn't know what to say, or where to start on anything. She was bad at this whole social thing. She looked at him, but her eyes fell quickly to her feet again. "Who a-are you?" She asked him. It might have seemed a little rude, but it wasn't her intent. She was one of the sweetest wild dogs anyone could run into.
She had been tricked a few times here and there, and now she was lost. She didn't know who she could trust anymore. "I-I'm s-sorry." she said.

Her initial reaction left him wondering, but Ilarion set it aside for the moment. "Walking is a lovely thing to be doing. Except when its hot of course." He stopped a polite distance away from her. Without knowing how she'd react to him, he didn't want to crowd in.
"I'm so pleased you asked my dear. I am Ilarion. Who might you be?" He gave her a happy grin. Though his grin faded as she apologized. "Sorry? Whatever do you have to be sorry for? I'm positive a sweet girl like you could do nothing that you'd have to be sorry for." He moved his head like he was going to nudge her reassuringly with his nose then thought better of it. "Even if you have I'll forgive you."

She didn't know why she apologized, but she did. It was something she had always done. Mostly because she couldn't talk as clear as she wanted. She had a stutter that made things hard, and mad her even less confident meeting new creatures. She looked down at her paws instead of the other as he spoke. He must think she was stupid or something...
"I-I'm S-shaila." she pawed at the ground and glanced up quickly at him then back to the rock she had been playing with him. "What a-are you doing h-here?"

He looked at her sympathetically. Poor girl didn't look like she had any confidence in what a beautiful creature she was. Ilarion was going to do his utter best to change that. "Shaila. What a beautiful name! It certainly suits you perfectly." He gave her a grin.
"Oh me?" Think quick old boy. "Let's just say I was looking for you! Yes indeed. I could not think of any better dog to spend my time with than you at this moment." Ilarion wagged his tail. "Now that you know my dear. The question is: What do you want to do? Anything you like." He waited eagerly for her answer.

She was taken aback a moment. Her? But she didn't think she knew him? She tilted her head a moment and looked at him for a good couple of seconds to try to find some familiarity, but none came. "D-do you k-know me?" She asked him. She'd feel horrible if she forgot him and he knew her. She shuffled her feet again.
This time, her eyes couldn't leave him. "W-what d-do I want to d-do?" She hadn't thought about it. She was just... Going on her way. Where? She didn't know. She had no where to go. Everything seemed.... Lost. "I....I d-don't know." She looked to her feet this time and shuffled them again.
Was he expecting that much from her? All this pressure at once! She had to think up something, she guessed, she didn't want him waiting after all. She flicked her tail about before looking back at him. "I g-guess we c-could go for a-a walk?" It was the only thing that came to her mind. She was very boring, in her mind.

Oh dear, now he's really confused her. "No, no not exactly. Ok well not at all really. But I'd like to become your friend. My name's Ilarion." It seemed this was a bit too much. He gave an embarrassed cough. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I just thought you might like some friendly company. If you rather I'd leave you alone, you can tell me. It won't hurt my feelings." Much. Maybe it would have been better if Haruki was here.
Ilarion backed up a couple of steps. His ears flicked at her suggestion. "Lovely lady, I would adore going on a walk with you if it won't inconvenience you at all." The brown male was trying very hard to think up something that would put her at ease; he was also failing miserably.

She was confused, but it seemed it was getting worked out and she felt rather stupid. She blushed, even though it was hidden under her gray fur. Thank god. She felt more nervous now than she did when he first spoke. "I-i'm S-Shaila." She felt her legs shaking, but she tried to keep that under control.
She gave a small smile "N-not an i-inconvenience at all" she wasn't really sure where she was going, and maybe this will make things a little less.... lonely. She felt her heart start to race faster. "I-I'm not going anyw-where s-specifically"

"Shaila. I've never heard a lovelier name." Ilarion gave a graceful bow. "I'm most pleased to hear that." He rose to his feet and looked at her. "It would be my pleasure to accompany you anyhow. The miles always seem to go faster in company m'lady." Should he? Probably.
"I should mention that I travel with a maned wolf as well. He's not around but he usually finds me when he's ready. Perfectly harmless, though he doesn't have my good looks." Ilarion wiggled his brows playfully.

She gave a shy smile at him as she looked to her feet. She didn't know what to say to that, she didn't think it was that lovely, but maybe he hadn't heard it before? She moved a paw awkwardly back and forth upon the ground.
"O-oh?" she said with interest. She'd never met a maned wolf before, so it was something new that would be good! Of course, she never thought of going up to one before, but this way she knows he is nice because Ilarion said he was. She smiled at him and nodded. "I-i'd love to m-meet him" She said with a nod.magnadearel Sorry these took so long. @o@
