Biography: By his family, a sort of code of justice and honour was drilled into Levi during his adolescent years. You see, generation after generation, there hasn't been a man of the family that hasn't aspired for a career in law enforcement. It became an unspoken, assumed tradition.
Levi accepted this duty right off the bat. For one, he had a knack for dog-whispering. When Levin trained the family puppy, Shiba, a new trick per week, his father saw the potential with partnering him with a police dog in the future. Recently, he'd even gone to a Jr. police camp. It seemed that Levi would be the star pupil of his family that year.
However, the same did not seem to be so for Levi's older brother Henry. He may have been the apple of the younger brother's eye for his magic tricks and cool dare-devil attitude, but they say admiration is the farthest emotion from understanding. Henry hated the family business with a burning passion. It may have been initiated early, when the pressures and discouragements hit him hard as a child, or it could have been sparked to life by his best friend being shot by a cop in a tragic misunderstanding. The fact was, Henry was the bad apple who threw parties, struck girlfriends, and casually shoplifted, relying on his father's connections to avoid the consequences while deliberately bringing unwanted attention onto himself in a form of revenge.
It all climaxed one night when Henry got drunk at a party and came home, violently engaging against the mother while their father was working. Seeing, for the first time, hi brother act this way, Levi tried to stop the quarrel, unwary in his haste to help his mom. As it happened, Henry was armed and dangerous. Henry stabbed his own brother that night and ran away from home. They found his body a week later, dead from a drug overdose. Other than the merest of details of the autopsy personality Levi never saw, he didn't want to hear anything more about Henry's death.
By the time the school season started again and Levi was still in lockdown for his recovery (he was never the type to be too emotionally affected on the outside), Levi petitioned against his parents to enroll him into the new online "Virtua High". Eventually they caved in, seeing his point of wanting to actively move around, if not in reality, then in virtual reality.
Personality: Levi is chivalrous...to a point. Although polite and kind are two of the most emphasized points in his upbringing, aside from justice, the woman he had to 'protect' were always extremely aggressive. His mother, a harsh tongued woman who could mercilessly whap you with a spoon and hold her own against boxing-day madness, a younger sister who was already aiming for her black belt in karate...Sigh, his life was unfortunately lacking of damsels, so his development in "ladies first" was to be desired. To handle the pressure of his family's expectations, Levi assumed a daringness and troublesome personality. He can appear carefree, but bottles all his emotions up inside and under the surface, using unique methods to deal with angst.
