Essentially, you will be put through your paces to pass basic infantry training! Which is largely pretty simple. You will, for the most part, be expected to fire your weapons, run around a bit, engage some paper targets, and finally end everything in a simunition battle!
You should note however, this testing will be more thorough than will be expected in actual roleplay. You are tested above what will actually be necessary to roleplay, so don't be daunted if it seems overly meticulous or detail oriented.
Phase I- Firing Range
You essentially, start out at a firing range, with about 50 spaces, to fire at some paper targets 50, 75, and 100 yards away. The purpose of the exercise it not necessarily to hit the target, but to roleplay, effectively, all the steps needed to fire a weapon. This includes loading in a magazine, loading in the first round by pulling back the bolt handle, aiming the weapon, pointing it down range, finding your target, and eventually firing the weapon. I want you to go into as much detail as possible, role playing each individual part of the weapon, with as much scrutiny as possible, even parts you don't perform!
Once you've gotten this down, the actual firing of the firearm, the rest should be relatively easy. You'll start out using an M4 carbine style weapon, for ease of operation.
Phase II- Team tactics
More or less, to move around and exploit team tactics. To perform drills where you are to, more or less, be in the position you would expect in a CQB type scenario, spread out, in a grass field etc.
Additionally, you are to essentially, choose which weapon you want to use. Be it a machine gun, rifle, sub-machine gun etc. from the armory. If you want to know the differences between these weapons, you can ask me or read more about it!
Additionally, you might be expected to cycle the weapons and have a different job and whatnot. You will also learn about the different jobs!
Phase III- More advanced tactics
Basically, you'll just be exploiting some more advanced tactics, particularly learning cover, when to fire, how to advance, and basically how to operate in a firing team.
Remember to seek cover; one unit should be providing covering fire, and when moving from one target to the other, if you are aware of your enemies position, you should move in on them whilst firing, as to provide yourself with suppressive fire. Suppressive fire is used to scare the enemy, or assault them with overwhelming firepower. The objective is to hide behind a wall of lead, and more to a more advantageous position, but not run out of ammo doing it.
Phase IIII- Basic Run Through
Essentially, a small mock battle involving simunition rounds, where you will be battling one lone ranger, me! You will be expected to don full gear, for 3 days worth of supplies, even though this will not be necessary. As you make it towards the location, I will randomly pop out and attack you, where you will hopefully use information you've learned to do okay in response.
The objective will not be to necessarily defeat me, but to provide detailed information While the rounds are fake (paint based) in this mission, if you are struck, you, or that particular body part, is presumed to be disabled and you aren't allowed to use it.
Otherwise, good luck!
