I am loving all the ideas presented so far Yoru. <3
I know that a lot of things are still needing to be filled, but I just saw the NPC post, HOMG. A REP for each type of character. Just that brings a grand smile to my face. <3
I can't wait to read more about this place. 8D

Hey Brolis...I'mma entering Magesc guild again as Crew (temporarily) I just need to copy my How to Guides on stuff XD Like the adventure system...and artist guide for this place. If that's okay. I'll boot myself out once again when I'm done copy and pasting. OvO That is...if it's alright with you?

Welcome to De Civitate Nocte...
it's still very under construction at the moment.
Was super surprised to see you find this Guild though
since most of the ones who're in it so far knew me from
past B/Cs.
I'm super happy to know that this concept is interesting to you

I don't mind helping out as an RP partner until you find someone better. I've got a lot of OC's clamoring for attention and life in the shop already. xD;

I know you only have the bare bones of most things up so far, but I do have a question about the playable Gods/Demi gods. Are they the full fledged versions of their mythical inspirations, or are they going to be just fragments of their power. Because they don't have a believer base and wot not.
Also if someone were to get a spirit, like the Spirit of Autumn, would they be more than just a harbinger of change? Like Autumn could be a slow death, Winter is a long restful sleep before the rebirth of Spring. Something along those lines.

Same a particular oc that has been stuck in coloring stage is saying yep this place is for me.
Oooh I was wondering about the gods as well. Follow up do humans come through the portal with an item or something that will help them go down the path to becoming a demi-god/goddess?
I want to ask questions but I know your still working things out but I know it will bug me if I don't ask.
You speak of turning into mythical creature through tattoos, will the actual species be there as well?
So many other things going through my mind that I want to ask but I will be patient. ヾ(*´∇`)ﾉ
Unrelated note made me pull out my old works and want to start working on them again. -been focusing on art(coloring mostly) too much-(｡･｀ω´･｡)

I need help reorganizing the place...and most especially in RP reqs and stuff...since I don't know so much. D:
Haven't gotten around to the specifics but basically it's supposed to be easier by saying:
If you want to create a Celestial (God/Goddess concept)
to avoid God Modding and super powerfuls.
You should think of "God of *insert noun/concept* "
So you can't make God of everything like Allah and the such.
They have to be a personification of a concept.
Like as you said, God of Autumn.
I would say that Celestial would be fleeting. Existing only during Autumn
and/or when there's local conditions like Autumn. Probably will represent small things that remind people of autumn. Small changes, dead leaves, cooler weather and maybe even coats.
Powerwise maybe they can temporarily make people feel the coolness without the bite of winter. Or temporarily make them wistful *because in my head Autumn is wistfulness and preparation for winter*
Something like that. XD And maybe the character can grant only slow death but temporary since Autumn doesn't kill...only puts things to sleep ready for winter.
And they don't really inherit a spirit of a god.
They basically make themselves into one.
Starting by being a cult leader, making a small cult following...
and with enough belief, make an altar to rise the character
into Diety level. (demigod) and finally they have enough followers
and belief that it infuses the character with the essence of the concept they worship, build a church and become a God.
Since I always believed that what made Gods were the belief of the people and not the other way around.

Hopefully getting this place fully set up will revive my art muse as well!
Yeah I haven't gotten down the Celestial (god/goddess) concept yet completely. XD Need to be able to temper down people's need to God Mod so much. Which is why that will be a rare race.
Nope. Basically they are humans of any of the other pathways. They can reject the tattoos or the talent and make themselves a cultist and basically join a cult. Eventually they will have charm enough and rise through the ranks and gain followers. They need to believe the concept they embody enough that eventually with more and more people believing in their words...they attain Diety status. -- I.E. small following with an altar.
They will only attain Godhood if they gain enough followers to build a grand church in the Adorant Platea district (home of the gods).
I will probably add a requirement where they need to have at least 2 other characters or A number of NPCs (of their own making) who either write them a prayer or swear to be their followers.
In other news:
Tattoos - basically they manifest right when the human comes out of the portal. They usually are a symbol that may describe the creature they will turn to eventually (this is only for denizens). So if a character was to turn into a mermaid they might get a tattoo that is symbolizing the sea waves, or maybe a small fish, or even as obvious as a mermaid sailor tattoo. XD
I'm also planning that if someone gets a Denizen they will be either informed of what creature they're becoming or given a cryptic clue. Can't decide which one is better.
>>; Cryptic clue would keep you guessing and maybe make character RPs more interesting. But...it might also destroy your plans if you thought you were turning into a Mermaid but instead turned into a Kappa. XD Hahaha.
