____CRIMINALS___________________ // these are the outcast, the lawless and lawbreakers, creatures who do whatever they want //HIERARCHY ♛DOMS - usually uses either the tiles of Grandfather/ Grandmother of a Criminal Family, they are the individual/s that command and own the biggest organized criminal elements in Nocte.↓ ♞SUBS- usually referred to as the Father or Mother of an Crime Family, they are considered the second in command of the Grandparents and usually work to disperse and execute the direct commands from the Grandparent/s.
- each Mother or Father will be assigned a selected number of Children to command under them, kind of like regimens/battalions in armies. The number of Children under their control depends on the culture or size of a particular Crime Family.↓ ♜CHILDREN- as a group, they are usually referred as Children and as individuals they are called either a Brother or a Sister.
- this is the lowest official rank within a Crime Family. They are the people who do the dirty work, and who come face to face with the violence in the streets.
- One can be adopted as a Child into a Crime Family, usually through a painful and tortuous initiation ceremony. (most are extremely violent and usually involves killing a loved one to cut all ties outside the Crime Family)
- a child can own "Pets", which are individuals usually wanting to be adopted into a Crime Family and are usually desperate to do anything to become a part of the Family. Pets can be informants, slaves and couriers.↓ ♟PETS- are individuals usually wanting to be adopted into a Crime Family and are usually desperate to do anything to become a part of the Family.
- Pets can be used as slaves, scut monkeys, informants, and generally the lowest rung and treated with the least amount of respect within the Crime Family, most often, they are disposable.
- only through the whims of Parents or Grandparents can a Pet be initiated into a child of a Crime Family.

____SHIFTERS___________________ // those who live in constant change, dealing with the inner animal within everyone //
RANKS ❍ ALPHA- the one and only group leader (it's very rare to find more than one Alpha in any particular Shifter group)
- Alphas are the only one with the ability to transfer the Shiter curse and infect a human/mundane through a purposeful bite
- a Shifter usually gains an extremely aggressive temperament when they become the Alpha of their group which leads to sometimes extreme possessiveness and protectiveness to an Alpha's group mates (or pack members).
- the more members in an Alpha's Shifter Group (pack/pard/flock/herd), the more powers and abilities an Alpha can gain (i.e. from super speed, strength...etc...)
↓ ❍ BETA- these are the followers, the average shifter that makes the bulk of any Shifter Group, the more Betas in a group, the more powerful the Alpha and the entire group becomes
- Betas are usually infertile in all sense, they cannot pass the curse through the BITE nor can they give birth or sire young
↓ ❍ OMEGA- usually the only way to become a Shifter is through a bite from an Alpha Shifter, however a rare form of Shifter, the Omega (who can either be a male or female) can carry and bear young who has the Shifter curse from birth. If an Omega is mated to a non-shifter, their offspring will have a 50/50 chance of inheriting the curse.
- this rank is very rare and are considered extremely precious and is well protected in any Shifter Group, most especially by the Alpha
- when Shifter become Omegas, they usually calm down in temperament, become a soothing caretaker and in most situations become either an Alpha's Mate or the Shifter Group's primary Adviser.
- they are physically weaker than Betas, however some can gain small measures of psychic abilities such as empathy or future-sight.
↓ ❍ THETA
- these are the "lone wolves" who prefer to live apart from a Shifter Group, this can come from being exiled from a group or from having a Shifter animal that prefers to be alone (i.e. how Leopard Shifters often prefer to be self-sufficient and live alone)
- however if a shifter hasn't allied themselves to a group/pack yet, they are also considered to be in Theta-Form
- physically they are considered just powerful enough to match a weaker Beta, but are more powerful than omegas.
- infertile, but has the ability to shift to any of the other ranks (Alpha, Beta, Omega) once acquired into a Shifter Group
