AU: Jayce never made Virtua

As the endless aria of the clicking of his keyboard continued on, Jayce sighed as he attempted to write another code. He never realized how long this has been hard for him, but then again, he had been in his room so long that he doesn't remember how time passes anymore. He completed another simulation, one which he hoped would work for a long period of time. He put on his VR-Gear, and entered the simulation. It was a school town, complete with a beautiful city and a basic school-ish building. He walked to the roof of the school, content with the school itself... But the city was too inconsistent. In fact, for some reason or another, none of the architecture matched: Modern Skyscrapers melded with wooden shops, concrete bled into steel, and the streets went from paved with concrete to cobblestone. And it sickened him. He must have failed somewhere in the code, and it was a big time failure... After all, this world was one of consistency.

He signed out of the simulator and saved the files that this world was constructed of. When the program asked him to name the batch of files for later usage, he froze. What should he call this project of his, one that he had spent an entire month on, only to have failed? He almost opted to write it off as Failed Attempt1, but something else convinced him to keep it for another day.

Nine years later, when he finally made CEO of Wilder (his dad suggested that he work his way up), he went to remove his things from his parents old home to one of his own choosing. He took an external hard drive out of his pocket and began selecting files to take off the computer before he formatted it for good. He began scrolling through various VR-RPGs before he froze. A sad smile arose on his face as he looked at the on VR project of his that failed to take flight, the only one he wished he had actually published, but didn't.

In a bright green folder, a batch of files rested; and this batch of files would never be used for anything for a very long time. But they were there, those three words in all caps: PROJECT VIRTUA HIGH
