Jake is 5'9 and weighs around 225 lbs. He has a fit body type, built for martial arts not showing off. He has medium length messy black hair and burning orange eyes. There is an in thick scar running from his right eye down to the bottom of his left cheek. He also has a soul patch and chin scruff, that he refers to as his goatee, that hangs an inch down from his chin. Almost is entire body is covered in scars and he has a large tattoo on his back of a Ho-oh whose wings span from shoulder to shoulder. The bird is perched on a large tower made of bones and skulls burning with magical blue flames. The tower extends down his back. He also have a black tribal Tyranitar tattoo on his right shoulder, showing the top half of the Pokemon roaring while facing the same way Jake does. The Pokemon brakes into design that wraps around his arm down to his elbow. On the other side he has a similar tattoo but instead of a Tyranitar its a Nidoking.
He has a good posture and a tough, confident stance.
He tries to follow his way of justice after leaving the gang and joining the police.

He was orphaned when he was sick by an illness that took his parents. After a year under care in that horrible place, he ended up joining a street gang that the older orphans started to escape. He quickly rose up in the ranks, due to his quick thinking and violent tendencies.
Darke, or Darken as his parents named him, joined the gang two years after, having come from a rich artistic family who were screwed over by the mafia and corrupt police. Jake mentored Darken, even though Jake was younger, on how to live on the street and the two became fast friends. They are often mistaken for being related, due to them both having shaggy black hair and strange eyes; Darken's being bright red. Jake and Darken were known in the gang as Krow and Darke respectively, and became feared around Johto for a short period of time before the gang, The Golds became caught up in a scheme larger than they could handle, getting the attention of Interpol.

During this battle of gang and police, Jake's older girlfriend was wrongly imprisoned and died in jail. He then met Looker, who convinced him to turn his back on the gang and change his ways. Taking Looker as inspiration, Jake joined the police force and committed himself to become the best officer he could. He quickly rose up the ranks, which created jealousy among his colleagues as well as animosity due to him being firmly against corruption. He joined Interpol a few years later, trying to work with Looker, and three cases later is when he ended up in Aqua.
