Hunters vs. Travelers Oh no! It seems there has been a murder in Benin! Help us catch those responsible, or maybe you're the one to blame?
|| Sign Up: Monday, June 17th Starts: Wednesday, June 19th Ends: Monday, July 1st ||
|| Gaia TOS and thread rules still apply. || You may place as an NPC, one of your characters, or even yourself! However, those that make a consistent effort to provide thoughtful, RP responses may use this event as one of their RP Growth Requirements for the character you are using. || You may only enter as one character. || Each round will last 36 hours, 24 hours for everyone to role play as they wish and decide on who will die that night and then 12 hours for the hunters to decide who they want to kill. || You must clearly indicate who you want to kill and who you want to vote for as specified in the thread, or your votes won't count. || This is pretty much an AU, so if you die in the game it doesn't mean your character is really dead. You're just done with the game. || The remaining members of the winning team will have a familiar raffled off between them. Also all members of the winning team will get two items from the shop, where the losing members will get one (excluding weapons and stat boosters).

Explain the Roles ::
Main roles
Hunters: These are the killers of the game. Every night they vote on someone to be killed. They will know who each other are, but other then that they don't know any role of the others. They pretend to be innocents, and during the day vote to kill just like everyone else. Hunters are allowed to talk amongst themselves before voting. None, one or both lovers could be hunters. The leader is a hunter. Innocents: These people are innocent. Most of the characters playing are innocent. During the day they vote to kill off one person. The detective, healer and outsider are these roles. None, one or both lovers could be innocent. Detective: An innocent whom can privately accuse one person every two "nights" of being a hunter. He is told if he is correct or incorrect and then can use that to try to sway votes or be nice to certain people so they don't vote to kill him. Whoever it is shouldn't let others know they are the detective since that can make them the prime target of the hunters. Healer: An innocent whom can save the life of one person every night from the mafia. They can save themselves as well. They are not allowed to save the same person two rounds in a row.
Secondary roles
Leader: This role is one of the hunters, although even if the detective asks about them they are told that this person is innocent. Outsider: This role is one of the innocents, although even if the detective asks about them they are told that this person is a hunter. Lovers or Siblings: These two roles have their fates tied together. The only way for them to win is to be the last remaining characters. Although they are told whom their other half is, no one else knows. They can both be on the same team, or opposite teams. Wise: The wise is voted upon every day for the next day. The wise has two votes instead of one.
How it works ::
Because of the way the game is set up you can only use one of your characters. Include their name, if your playing to win the prize and then roll two twenty sided dice.
The whole object of the game is to kill all the hunters, or for all the hunters to kill the innocents. For the lovers they only win if both of them survive.
A new day will happen every 36 hours. The first round is where the story will be set up, everyone then has 24 hours to talk amongst themselves and each other. During this round people will vote on who they think is the killer. Your character can decide this whenever they want, all the need to do is post the name of who they want to kill at the bottom of their post in 18pt font and in red. They will also vote on who they want to be the Wise for the next day. This will be done also in 18pt font, but in green font. Voting for both can be done whenever, and even after you vote you can keep RPing to either sway people to vote for the same person as you did, or to get them to not vote for you! After 24 hours everyone goes to sleep and the posting will stop. I will post this so everyone knows not to post anymore. Then the hunters have 12 hours to talk amongst themselves and decide who they have to kill privately. The next round will start with that person dead, and it will all start over.
If you have a special power (like the healer or the detective) you will be given more information when you get the role.
(This counts as an RP as long as at least 7 posts are made by each character)

HUNTERS vs TRAVELERS There is a place where all of the races are safe from any kind of judgement, where they can all mingle and relax without having to watch their backs or be scared that someone from another race is going to hurt them, even mixed breeds are welcome. It is a little settlement that seems to lie in the middle of everything, all those whom are traveling through different lands pass by here at one point in their journey. The actual location is somewhere in the middle of Tale, in a rather large cluster of trees. It is called Benin. This is where this horrible event takes place.
The night before everything seemed normal. There were Shifters laughing with Alkidikes, Wind and Ice Tribe members sharing a drink and stories, and Leaf members entertaining all. Everything in Benin was just as it always was. One by one everyone went to sleep, some staying in inn's and other in their own little makeshift homes for the night. As the sun was rising a scream was heard throughout the settlement, a scream so horrible that it woke even the most sound of sleepers.
Some stayed where they were, and others went to go investigate what had happened to someone that was so horrible that it would cause such a scream. Those who went to investigate would find a female from the leaf tribe murdered, she was staying alone on the outskirts of Benin. Their were footprints leading towards the heart of the settlement, though nothing else could be figured out from them. Only one thing was clear, the killed was still among them.
Okay so round one has started, it will end tomorrow at five EST. You can RP your character however you'd like and make as many posts as you would like. However only one of those post most vote on who to kill that night, and who to vote as the wise the next day. Once you get your PM saying what role you have feel free to start.

Well, here they were. Strange how someone could disappear so fast... or were they just nearby? The footsteps ended in the heart of the settlement, but so did nearly every other trail. Someone here had done the killing... but who? He tilted his hat down and stood with his arms crossed, trying his damndest to pretend he hadn't just seen someone lying motionless in a pool of their own blood.
"So what do we do?" he asked, looking at each face in the crowd. "I think we can all agree the killer has to be in this settlement still."
But who had it been? Nobody had seemed particularly bigoted before the murder, but something was clearly up. His eyes narrowed at the nearest man, not that it could be seen in the shadow of his hat's brim.

When Kelina heard the scream, she awoke in shock. The scream was out of character for what she had experienced yesterday. She had her reserves when she arrived, but all of that was all quickly put to rest though as everyone had been kind. Kel had time to talk to Alkidikes as well as wind and ice tribe members. It truly was an experience for her. She rushed out to where others were already gathering, her short stature lead her to push to the front to see what happened. Had it not been for her experience helping her mother, she might have vomited right there and then. But then she would be perceived as weak, and she couldn't let that happen.
One man spoke up then. "So what do we do? I think we can all agree that the killer has to be in this settlement still." The voice came from behind her as she spun to look for the source. He seemed somewhat odd, looking from under the brim of his hat at who know's who. "We should lock this settlement down. No one should be able to leave and we shouldn't let anybody else in." She said somewhat confidently. Kel didn't fancy staying somewhere where there was a killer on the loose, but she had to put herself aside to find out who killed the poor girl. Knowing it was probably risky, she studied the male who had spoke. Everyone was now a suspect, and she knew some might even look upon her with suspicion even though it was ridiculous. What was before a merry gathering, was now very very different.

Rayolun had visited only to see the strange villagers and their odd antics. He certainly wasn't expecting murder! Straitening his pinstripe vest he sauntered over to the crime scene, looking about him. Shut down the settlement? Be stuck in here with noisy villagers? Not his idea of a good time.. but if that was what they were doing, then he'd do it that way... "Once people hear about this, they ain't gonna want to come in here." He remarked after one lady mentioned a complete lock down. ooc: I am so playing Ray dressed like this!

Nuawahn was sleepy. Very sleepy. After the initial scream and the adrenaline rush, he knew he wasn't in danger. He wanted to go back to sleep. Then again, the dead body intrigued him. It didn't really connect in his mind that dead body=dead person, not quite yet. He held his blanket and blinked at everybody. "So we aren't allowed to leave?" Which was fine! He could explore more! He hadn't finished exploring the few days he had been here- there had just been so many people to talk to. "Okay!" the youngling smiled sleepily. Perhaps the full impact of the moment hadn't seeped in. Or perhaps he was just too... innocent... to really understand.
"Wait, people can't come in either?" he frowned, puzzled, "Oh. Oh well! I can talk to you!" he turned to the nearest adult, "Where did they go?" he asked, pointing to the dead person.
((We can pretend that we are in that lovely AU when we actually aren't))
