Like the rest of the cruise ship, there is an almost decadent, archaic feel to the main deck in the casinos themselves. The lower ceiling gives the area a more snug feel, though at the end is an open bar, with complementary beverages. Alcoholic ones however, range in the prices from basic beers and mixed drinks in the single digits to more expensive wines in the doubles and triples. The brand names are nondescript for the beverages, like the rest of the casino.
In the center are several tables, followed by rows and rows of slot machines. All analog, non-digital, without a single Vegas-inspired cheap plastic button in sight. Everything feels classy, and with the other cruise ship patrons filing onto the boat, a thick cloud of smoke begins to waft around the area.
OOC: CASINO
Welcome to the casino portion of the main deck! You can try your luck with the slot machines or simply mingle with other players. There are also beverages players can buy as they please. Remember anything players buy must come out of their own budget/ wallets, so make sure they actually have cash - Make sure to write their LOCATION so other players know where to interact with them - The money you can use in the casino must reflect ICly how much your Hunter currently (approximately) has as a budget, as long as they are you know, carrying their debit cards. All money gained is reflected directly into their budget (ie: THEY KEEP IT) - If your Hunter is leaving the area make sure to EXIT the thread to let other players know. You can either be here or at the Promenade! - Mark in OOC the LOCATION of where your Hunter is at (the areas listed below).
gaia_crownBLACKJACK:
- Blackjack can be played in groups of five. There are three tables, table ALPHA, BETA, and GAMMA - First, select a table, rp it out as you join the table group, and post it in OOC. Anyone in this table is your competitor now. Make sure to quote them in OOC when you are making a move. - All players pool in funds. You are betting actual money here, in minimum increments of $5 (no maximum). - Each person playing Blackjack rolls 2d12. Those are the cards dealt to them. - They can then choose to HIT (roll another 1d12) or keep. They can keep on doing this until they BUST (Go over 21 sum total with their rolls). - At the end the player who has not been busted closest to 21 gets to keep all the cash from all the betters on the table. Repeat and rinse. When your player is ready to leave simply write EXIT and they will have left the table.
gaia_crownRoulette: - This is pretty standard, players playing roulette should mark in OOC Roulette. You are playing against ??? players - You are betting in cash (whatever cash your Hunter has). Minimum bid increment is $5. - To keep this simple, you are only betting black or red. This can be played solo and makes no difference if you are playing solo or group. 1 = black 2 = red. State what your character chooses and then in the next post roll 1-2. If your statement is the same as your roll you take home double your bid. If it is not the same you lose your bid.
gaia_crownSlot Machines: - Players can play as they please. It is a flat bundle rate of $50 per go. - As it is very tedious to roll a bunch of 3d6 into eternity, simply roll 1d6 and match your dice roll to the results below: 1: You lose all your money 2. You double your money 3. Your money is halved 4. You break even 5. You lose all your money 6. JACKPOT. You win a FREE SPA TRIP.... whatever that means...
Sin entered into the casino with his fake ID, glad that an appropriate age had at least been written for him. With his hands crossed behind his head, he looked around. "What should I do first..?" Although playing the casino was particularly risky with one's money, Sin had never been one to avoid a little risk~ Besides, having been given an allowance from the hunter's association gave the male a little room to play.
He decided on a play through at the slot machines. Sliding his debit card at the casino machines, he pulled the lever with an experienced flick of his hand that belied a good understanding a of a casino. And somebody who had been there many times although they really shouldn't have been, what was wrong with him. The results slowly rolled.. and the numbers matched up with one another. Jackpot! But Sin looked a little boredly at the screen. He definitely wasn't the gleeful person who was jumping up and down. It wasn't that Sin hated the spa. It was fairly pleasant, a spa trip.. except for the fact that he would be unlikely to venture out of the hunter's island for a spa trip. Besides, what was the fun in going by himself if he were allowed to go? "A little more money would have been nice.." He muttered to himself. "Jeez!" He let out an exasperated sigh.
Nevada held the fake I.D she was given and sighed. She wasn't much of a gambler but...earning more money meant more things right?
She sat down to another handsomely dressed man, giving him a smile.
"You do get two days of leave for a month..." She pointed to his jackpot. Her debit card went in and she pulled it out. "But if you don't want that Spa trip Handsome, I know a couple of ladies who would." She winked as she pulled the lever.
She sighed as none of the shapes came up matching.
"Not a lucky day for me...."

Alaska could now see why the message had requested the hunters to dress formally. As frustrating as it had been to dig through her luggage for the right clothes, she was glad she had chosen to heed the message’s words. On the other hand, she was disappointed to realize she hadn’t packed any suitable dresses before she had left. She smoothed out a few crinkles in her suit. Well, this worked too, she supposed. The sun hunter entered the casino and stepped to the side to observe the décor first. A silent Alaska took in the old, decadent atmosphere that mostly matched the ship save for the lowered ceiling. She crossed her arms, one hand lightly covering her mouth as she stared at the opposite end of the room toward the bar. Technically she was underage, but the ship employees would never know that.
Tempted as she was to head straight for the bar, Alaska managed to spot a couple of familiar faces with her wandering eyes. She clicked her tongue upon seeing a familiar sun hunter, but headed toward him anyways. “Why am I not surprised to find you here?” she wondered aloud, her question directed more toward her younger twin than to Sin. She laid one hand each on both of their chairs. “As appealing as gambling may be, I fear it’s better not to.” Especially since I only have a hundred bucks on me. Damn.Geez. Maybe you want to try gambling?? Hahahahaha!How about you shut your trap, Brat?

"I'm telling you, the engineering is all messed up, someone miscounted the capacity, so we're now sailing overweight and-" they paused in mid-conversation with the other crew member, looking around. "Let's go somewhere else. We need to get this sorted out before the ship actually sails. Not to mention that-"
-"I know." the other tersely interrupted, looking spook. "Look. Last night, when I was doing the checks-"
-"Somewhere else."
The two of them hastily made their way towards the deck below.

Man: "Deck 4, they're using, well, I don't know what it is to contain it. I can't even explain it. I'm not part of that - that engineering group, so I don't know what they were thinking-"
Man 2: "Did you get a good look at it?"
Man: "I don't know, I don't know what I was looking at. If you had me guess and that was just glimpsing it sort of looked like a crown. Like, a really warped-"
Man: -"But that's not the only thing. There's something else down there too. They call her the ghost, but that's just to spook people from actually going down. You can hear it before you see it they say. John didn't believe me, went overnight he-
Man 2: "That's ridiculous! John retired two days ago."
Man: "It's all a cover up. He was working to figure out what was going o-"
Man: "Here, if you head to deck four, take this with you next time if you don't believe me."
Man 2: "No, I believe you, I mean I just-"
Man: "Take it anyway." *the sound of metal clinking* "Each set of keys is unique. You're gonna have to enter a passcode too. ACE. Pretty easy."

He looked over to what he recognized as another hunter from the party. He wasn't exactly sure who she was but.. Sin was all for making friends. "Maybe I should sell it." He mused after hearing her words, sliding an easy smile over to her. "You think somebody would buy it?"
Upon hearing her disappointed sigh over her results, he sympathized with her. "Lady luck is a fickle woman." He looked over at her results, and then over to her. "Ignoring the ID, I don't believe we've introduced ourselves? I'm Sin." Come to think of it, her facial features reminded him of somebody else.. with the exception of the hair and eye color. Who did she remind him of..? That question was answered with Alaska's entrance. "Oh.." He observed, drawing a conclusion. It wasn't impossible for the hunters to recruit siblings, he supposed. Alaska's admonishments continued on, "Come on, come on~" He joked with Alaska, standing up from the slot machines. "You should play, your sister tried and-" He was in the middle of convincing her to sit down in the chair when a conversation caught his attention.
"..so we're now sailing overweight and-" Their urgent and rushed tones conveyed a level of secrecy. And with Sin, secrecy was never the warning to stay away. It was the hand that compelled his curiousity to draw closer. But the curiousity would remain unsatisfied, because as soon as he made a move in their direction, the security guard immediately noticed his large stature. "Excuse me, but that entrance is off limits."

She narrowed her eyes at Sin. The woman appeared suspicious at first, and then she full-on glared. Prey on my sister and prepare to potentially face my wrath as the older twin. Her expression remained firm as she folded her arms across her chest. “No, I’m quite sure I won’t be gambling anytime tonigh—“ Alaska stopped suddenly when she followed Sin’s gaze toward the pair of men. She cupped her chin with one hand as she considered tailing them. Their superiors had been awfully vague about the mission details, so any information certainly seemed helpful at the mo—
“Wait up,” she hissed, walking after her fellow sun hunter. Alaska clicked her tongue as she stood next to Sin. She tried to give him a side glare as she mumbled to the guard. “Yes, our sincere apologies.” She grabbed his shoulder to pull him away. “How about next time you act a bit more discreet, hm?”
Nevada gave Sin a meaningful gaze before shrugging. "I'd buy it if you want handsome." Violet eyes twinkled just a little bit, "unless you'd like to go with someone-Oh hello sister." Nevada beamed up at her twin before pulling her debit card out, "I was just using it as a reason to come talk to handsome over here, but it seems you two have met. She gave Sin a much warmer smile then her twin before offering, "My name is Nevada. Younger twin to Alaska." She stretched, watching as the two got up. Deciding the best course was to follow....
She could briefly here something about a man who saw something and was gone two days later but the. They were stopped by security and Nevada sighed. "Leave it to the suns just to go rushing in." She chuckled.
Ian had no idea what he was doing, except that there were slot machines. He casually strolled over to the first one he saw, looked it over, and decided to test his luck.
...he really didn't need a trip to the spa, but thanks slot machines, you tried.

Nevada shook her head until she heard the jingle of another winner at the slot machines. Dang, what was with all the good looking guys winning spa trips. Ian's face though looked like he didn't want it and being the logical of the twins, she disappeared.
"Hey there handsome." She curled her arms around his neck and pointed down at his grand prize, making a lazy sound of approval. "You going to use those?" Because she'd take them Ian if you didn't want them.
He didn't recognize the girl whose arms were suddenly wrapped around him, but Ian gave her a cheerful smile anyway, arching dark brows.
"Evening," he said brightly, and glanced down at the spa tickets. "Oh, these? Well, I thought I might give them to someone, I'm not quite sure what I would do with them, exactly..."
{ Make yourself look at least somewhat presentable. } said Naomi, sounding irritable, and the smile on Ian's face widened a little.
"Why? You got something else in mind for them?"

Nevada wasn't shy and she knew the hunter was a mist, Ian...from meeting him with Stormy. If he didn't mention her name, she figured it was cause of how many people he probably met. That or she was focused on the tickets.
"Good Evening handsome~" She placed her usual lazy smile on, regardless if he could see it or not. "If you're looking for someone to give them too, I'd love to take them off your hands." She thought of Stormy and how they could have a little girl's date and talk about boys. And how stoked her roomie might be to have a spa trip after all the missions.
"I got a roomie I wanna treat for letting me stay in her room during a tough time for me. I don't think she'd appreciate a grand gesture and well..." She eyed the tickets, still latched on the hunter. "I'd be willing to trade if you want?" it just depended on what he wanted.
"You should ask the other divisions if you want discretion." Sin said in a low tone that only Alaska and Nevada could hear, being guided back to the casino slot machines. He smiled over Alaska's head towards Nevada at her (much) warmer glance, seeing that she was much more relaxed than Alaska. Still, they were a nice pair of twins.. but assuredly, he had no designs on either of them. He had the feeling that Alaska was indeed capable of murdering him.. and he really liked living at the moment, so he didn't really want to take his chances.
He sat down in an empty seat, toying with his prize. He watched as Nevada approached another male quite familiarly. Yet again the differences were starkedly contrasting. Even though he didn't have designs, he had to admit that their personalities were quite different. "I don't understand how Nevada's sexy and you're not." He muttered under his breath. He then avoided Alaska's gaze..

Now that he thought of it, she did seem vaguely familiar, though Ian's slow-as-molasses thoughts weren't quite up to speed with all of the hunters he had seen so far.
"Oh, you would, would you?" he said, with a teasing sort of grin, Ian's eyes alighting with mischief. "Well, you're welcome to have them - free of any monetary charge, that is."
Nevada appreciated a man who liked to play, and thus instantly liked Ian a little bit more. And as he seemed very calm, regardless of her closeness, she was inclined to believe that he was at ease with most people. Those were her favorites.
"If you don't mind that is..." She smiled innocently at him, her hand reaching over to slide her debit card in his slot machine and pulling the lever while he got a weird mischevious glint in his eye. Her idea was to at least make some sort of money. "In return you can have...." Half of the money she put in...What the heck machine, "Well I was trying to be smooth but I feel the machine has it out get me." She chuckled. And as if she heard what Sin said, her head turned just a bit to look at the two sun hunters, winking at them.
Blinking though as he handed over the tickets, she took them gratefully. "You're a doll Ian. I think Stormy will like this to be honest. And I'll really owe you one, Really if you need anything, let me know hun." She pocketed them, Brushing her lips over his cheek in a very very chastise kiss, debating on heading away just like that. Except she thought of the people that Sin and her twin had been trying to listen in on and blinked. "You're a mist hunter right? Want to practice some Mist basics with me?" As in they were going to channel death and gather some information for the mission.
