Water field: Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

Zinnia flounced up the steps to the trainer's box with Zebo on her heels. The large feline looked down at the field and made a grumbling noise in the back of his throat. He hated water!
"This should be fun!" Zinnia said, as optimistically as ever. "Let's show 'em what we've got!" She bent down slightly in order to scritch the liepard's head; he leaned into her hand, purring.
Zebo leaped in a fluid motion down onto his own platform-- but his landing was not so graceful. He caused a wave that almost capsized his platform, but he managed to keep his balance by digging his claws in. His fur did get a little soaked from the splash, which he was not thrilled about. But getting wet was inevitable in the water field.
"Good luck!" Zinnia called down cheerily.

Jeo climbed up to her designated trainer's box with a bit of difficulty. Having over twelve pounds of fidgeting rodent on your shoulders makes balance kind of hard.
"Alright you terror, get off me. Next time I'll keep you in your ball if you can't keep still, got it?" the young woman leveled a glare at Jael as she hopped onto the guardrail.
"Emomolga." she squeaked sheepishly.
"Yeah you better not. Ok, get out there and make me proud, squirt."
"Mo!"
Jael glided smoothly down to her starting position, landing lightly on her platform.

Jael giggled a bit at Zebo's precarious landing, then beamed a friendly grin his direction. "Hey there! I'm Jael! Lets kick eachother's butts!"Her cheeks sparked as she sent arcs of paralyzing electricity towards the sodden feline. Zebo could only offer the friendly emolga a blank stare before he registered that a shock wave was headed toward him. He quickly leaped to the next platform (which did not wobble so badly as his first landing) and managed to avoid the attack. Electricity on the water field... brilliant.
But he looked again at the emolga and saw that she was... female! Time to turn up the charm; most of the girls he met on the battlefield were crazy and violent, but this emolga seemed nice enough. She had some spunk to her.
"I'm Zebo," he purred in reply, "It is very nice to meet you, Jael." He threw in a wink for added effect.
Zinnia commanded from the trainer's podium, "Encore!"
Zebo had almost forgotten that it was a battle. At least he didn't have to hit the cute girl yet. He smiled at her and said, "That was pretty impressive. But can you do it again?"

Jael giggled at Zebo's antics as she hopped counter to him around the field. He seemed to be quite a charmer. The thought made her grin warmly. She knew quite a bit about charmers. "I dunno, Mister Zebo, do you think you can handle it near as well as you did the last one? I wouldn't want this battle to end too quick you know." the electric type replied, all innocence, except for her mischievous grin. "Battle...?" Zebo asked, stumbling as he became very much confused. He nearly stepped right off his platform and into the water, but somehow he managed to maintain his balance.
"Encore!" Zinnia repeated, watching the strange scene below with some concern.
Zebo gave Jael a bleary, goofy grin. "You're pretty cute, you know?" He was way too confused to keep up his cool demeanor, let alone to have any tact!

Zebo's stumbling got another giggle out of Jael. She sure was giggling a lot today. And grinning. She grinned wider at the compliment. "Aw, thanks! You aren't too shabby yourself!" She decided that Confusion might just be her favorite status thing to inflict. She charged up another, less benign, Thundershock and sent it arcing towards the confused liepard. Zinnia watched as Zebo stumbled over his own feet; the lower half of his body slipped into the water just as Jael's thundershock hit, intensifying the power of the attack. But the jolt didn't seem to help his foggy head; with Zebo still so confused, things were going downhill quickly. Two could play at this game. "Swagger!" Zinnia commanded, hoping that Zebo would listen. Zebo pulled himself out of the water and puffed out his chest impressively. ((Not being on a water field will probably help keep that pride intact. xD His pride is such an easy target though.... > v > *shot*)) Zebo's sopping wet Swagger had little effect on Jael, unless you count making her laugh so hard she snorted. She managed to get a few sentences in through her giggles. "I see your chest fluff is meticulously groomed! I am very impressed Mister Zebo! How do you get it so smooth?"Her last Thundershock made Zebo's fur puff a bit, she wondered if it would puff some more if she did it again... That Thundershock jolted Zebo very well, and was made only more powerful by the fact that his fur was soaking wet. His normally meticulous pelt stood on end and his limbs locked up so that he resembled an extremely disheveled statue.
"Zyk!" Zinnia cried out in concern. This wasn't like him at all; normally Zyk was a very good battler. But somehow, that emolga had gotten the best of him... "C'mon, stop fooling around!" Zinnia said. "Scratch!"
Zebo coughed. Now that he was finally coming back to his senses, he felt ashamed. How could such a cute girl overpower him so easily...? Darn those emolgas. He didn't want to hurt Jael, but she wouldn't be impressed if she didn't get to see any of his power. At this rate, he would appear to be quite a weakling!
He stalked back and forth on his platform, his tail swishing. "Let me show you!" he said, leaping in what he hoped was the right direction.

It was definitely the right direction. Jael had been too distracted with laughing to dodge Zebo's attack and the force of his pounce knocked her into the water. She resurfaced with a gasp and paddled over to another platform. When she pulled herself up she looked down at her soggy fur and laughed again. "Wow! It works like a charm!"She shook off as much water as she could and launched herself into the air, then quickly swooped over Zebo, aiming to buffet his ears and then dart away. Zebo shook his head as the emolga swooped by, snagging an ear. He couldn't help but quirk a smile, despite his feeling so disoriented and disadvantaged. She had a cheerfulness that never stopped. " Get back here!" he called as she flew away. He bounded after her, intending to tackle her again.
