Alexandre had wandered off from the herd his uncle had started with a fresh sense of what if felt like to be among family. It made him realize just how much he missed his immediate family. However, he had no idea where they were or what paths their lives had taken. For all he knew he could be a uncle by now. Alexandre had a hard time imagining himself as a great uncle since he was still so young himself. Either way, Alexandre knew that he was tired of living alone--traveling--he wanted to find his family and settle down around them. Alexandre always found it hard to imagine himself as someone's mate or father. Not that it didn't appeal to him, but if he was being honest with himself he found it hard to imagine someone wanting to be his when he would never be able to see them. These thoughts had been brought on by the procession of a wedding being held in what he assumed was a glade. It certainly smelt like one.

With sure footsteps he beckoned himself closer when he heard what sounded like a lot of frustration. Something about the groom missing? That seemed odd. How could you misplace someone as important as that? The thought hadn't really ever occurred to Alexandre that someone would just skip out on their weeding, whether it be nerves or just them being a scam artist. Either way Alexandre walked steadily closer. Maybe he could lend a hoof to help. Since he was blind he had exceptional senses, so finding a missing person would be no trouble at all for him if they were still close by.

When Alexandre felt the presence of another--mare--he smiled kindly, placing a wing over his chest and bowing. "Hello miss." Alexandre told her softly. She smelled sweet to him. Like she'd basked in flowers or something recently. Or maybe it was a bit of the glade just mixing in with her own scent. Alexandre kept smiling waiting for her to reply.

Today was the day! After spending hours, even days, preparing the perfect ceremony Chandelle would finally get to see the pair share vows of love with one another before embarking on their new matehood. She had already seen the "bride" this morning; a beautiful young mare, so vibrant and full of charm. Her "husband" to be was also young, but so full of jitters, or so they said. She had yet to see him, even though he was supposed to have been there a few days ago.

And with the ceremony coming closer and closer at hand, Chandelle was starting to panic. The guests were getting restless, some had even talked of violent acts against the poor male, and the bride...At first she'd been worried, even a little tearful, but now Chandelle would be lucky if any of her flowers survived her tantrums.

So, with a determined clip, she set out to find him herself. He couldn't be far! Probably behind some tree or bush, murmuring to himself. And yet, when she had paused just to think it all over, it seemed he had come to her! Chandelle turned to look at the stallion, and had to quickly remind herself that this was someone elses mate-to-be. He certainly was a handsome one, and so polite, too! Not at all like the nervous wisp she'd thought to find; maybe he'd talked himself into having confidence?

"Hello!" She chirped, moving in a little closer to him. While her steps were light, her hooves clicked on every little stone and root. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, it really is, but we should get going. You wouldn't want to miss your big day, would you?" With a smile, she turned to start walking back to the glade. "Follow me; it's just a little further this way."

The mare's voice was sweet and soft as it hit his ears and while her steps were light he could hear them as they clicked on the path. From what he could hear, she seemed to move with a sense of grace, something he wasn't used to. Whether it was on purpose or not didn't matter. It seemed to fit her. Finally? Alexandre was slightly confused by what she said. His eyebrow's expressed this but they were hidden by his mane. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well miss." He responded. Had she heard of him from somewhere? Or was it just a way of greeting? Alexandre decided he would ask her about it later. From the way she greeted him it seemed that there were more pressing matters. Although, he wasn't sure what those were. Alexandre smiled and followed after her.

"Where are we going miss...." Alexandre paused in his question. "I'm sorry, I believe I forgot to introduce myself and ask for your name in return." He chuckled lightly. It wasn't something that happened often to him but then again, he had been distracted. He was busy listening to her every movement, trying to get a sense of the mare he had just met. Nothing about her seemed familiar but maybe he was wrong. Had they met when he was a colt? That was possible. The questions began to swirl in his head.

The poor dear looked so confused. Her heart went out to him in an instant. He must have been really distressed over the ordeal, and hopefully she could set some of that aside before she got him back off with his mate to be. Chandelle looked at him from over her shoulder, tossing curls out of her eye, only to have them catch on her horns.

"Shh, shh, sweetie, I'm not here to kidnap you. We're only going to the ceremony." Oh, wasn't he a dear! Such pleasantries and manners to boot. "I know a little about you, but I would love to know your name," since that tidbit seemed to have slipped her mind. "Oh, and my name is Chandelle."

Stepping lightly around a rather large tree, she could now just see the glade up ahead, with all of it's bright, vivacious decorations sticking out against the natural green of the landscape. Chandelle's little tail gave a flicker. Oh, wouldn't that mare be so happy!
