Riley walked at a decent pace, not too slow and not too fast, but a perfect stride as to not tire himself out and yet still cover a good distance. He had missed Virtua, and although he loved his foster parents dearly, he would rather be here, in a world where heterochromia meant you got awesome powers, and not ridicule and scorn. The cafe was always one of his favorite places to be, even if it the buildings were slightly old-fashioned. And an even bigger boon was that the place was empty, save the NPC who always seemed to be there only when he was around. "Salutations, Madame Rachel. Some green tea please." She nodded with a smile and returned a short while with his order. He thanked her and sat down near the steps that lead to one of the bigger shopping areas of the city itself. "Such a peaceful day... I suppose I should enjoy it while I can." He took a sip of his tea, getting ready for the days to come.

Luce DeLuca Luce padded along in her cat form, her steps making hardly a sound as she slinked through the streets. She hopped down the set of stairs, her eyes resting on a man at the foot of them. In her mind, she was smirking, though her current form didn't allow human emotions. When she'd reached the bottom, she purred loudly, putting her head against his leg and swishing her bushy tail back and forth."Mreow~,"she greeted, unable to speak in English either.I'll just mess with him a bit first,she thought to herself smugly, though her wide, blue eyes looked sweet and innocent enough as she gazed up at him, purring and mewing like any other, ever day cat. Finally she got up on her hind legs, her front paws placed on his knee as she rested her head on them, staring up endearingly as her tail waggled back and forth playfully.

Riley closed his eyes as he enjoyed the breeze. In all respect for whoever made this, he was glad that the weather seem realistic, even if the city itself looked clearly fake due to the fluctuating architecture. He sighed in between sips as he realized he needed to be more proactive about gaining friends and allies before the term started; after all, once the term started battles would wage all across the city. He wondered if he should just stick with the Psionics, or make allies with those of different ability types. After all, if he was lucky, he may just befriend an admin along the way, and that would be a huge boon to him. However, he was distracted from these thoughts as he felt something brush up on his legs. That was odd. "Why hello there small creature. How did you end up here?" This was perplexing to him. In all his time in Virtua, he had never encountered a stray animal before... Which meant it could be an illusion from a Psionic User, or maybe a Physionic or even worse; he had heard of an admin that based their skills on those of a feline... This could be beneficial or very, very bad for him. But he gave no indication of the fact that he had partially discerned his/her identity. "What brings a small creature such as yourself here on a day like this, huh?" He asked absently as he began to rub the gap between her ears.

Luce DeLuca Luce cocked her head to the side as he spoke, reply with a simple "mew", and a purr as he scratched in between her ears.This guy sure knows how to treat a lady,she laughed to herself silently, inside her own mind. She butted her head against his head, pausing to lick his fingertips, then turned around and began to bound away. She stopped after just a few feet to stare at him.Come on big guy, follow the fluffy feline.Whether he'd figured out she was a player or not, this was going to be an entertaining game."Meow,"she called loudly, plopping down to wait for him to follow, her eyes locked on his the entire time. Her tail curled neatly over her paws, and she lifted one to idly lap at the pad and clean her face.Hurry up, I don't have all day. Well... i kind of do, but still!

Riley smiled as the cat in front of him purred. He wondered if this person just wanted friends, and they thought this was the smartest way to go about it. But here was always a possibility of it being a trap, so he kept his guard up as he stood up and followed the cat. 'Hopefully, I am making the right decision here. After all the battle term has now started... And this could very well be the first fight of the new term.' He stood up and finished off his tea, then dusted off his pants after he put the cup and saucer down on the table. He watched it turn into code before following the cat. "So where do you intend to take me?"

Luce DeLuca Once he was following, she leaped to her feet and began trotting towards the cafe, making a turn around the corner to wait behind it. When she was concealed, she morphed back into her human -or rather, three-fourths human- form, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall with a slight snicker under her breath."Whatever he's expecting,"she began dully, glancing down at her lengthy, sharp claws,"I doubt it'll be this little kitty in her more... heh, appealing form."Her tail waggled at her back excitedly as she waited, a sharp-toothed grin lighting up on her face."I'm waiting~,"she murmured to herself again, chuckling a bit. It was so fun messing with people like this. And on the first day, no less.

Riley walked up to the cat, and then sighed when it went bounding round the corner. 'Honestly if you're going to ambush someone, that's a poor way to go about it.' He waited a few moments before sneaking around the bend to listen for signs of hostility before rounding the bend. So now that it was a confirmed she, the questions is what she wanted with him. She could be easily setting up a one person ambush as soon as he rounds the corner, or she could be attempting to seduce him and then take him out or something. Either way, he would approach the situation with utmost caution. He took a wide turn around the corner, making sure he was still visible to to the general populace before speaking to her. "So what do you want with me?" He asked cautiously. This year he was not taking any chances. "I'll have you know I can hold my own." Thinking about it after saying it, he was starting to sound like a loser. But he did give her fair warning, so if she tried something and failed, he felt he was not at fault..

Luce DeLuca She chuckled a bit, running her tongue along her fangs as she continued to inspect her claws."Aw, naw, man~,"she purred, winking at him subtly."Waaaay too much violence in my experience for me to get into any'a that. I've had my fill of it. I'm just here to party, ya'know~?"While that wasn't completely true, as she did have a habit of getting into fights ever now and then -and enjoying them- at the moment she didn't have the energy for it. Today would be a lazy day, she decided. She shrugged a bit, still grinning sharply as she sauntered over to him, morphing her paw back into a human's hand, running her nails along his chin softly and sensually."That's more my style. You got the wrong idea if you think I'm here for some petty little fights. I just saw you sitting all by your lonesome... it ain't right, in my opinion. Just thought you might want to play a friendly game'a cat n'mouse~?"She shrugged again, turning away from him as her paw reformed. Her tail swished back and forth, giving off an expectant mood."It's up to you though, man. This kitty prefers not to waste energy on chasing down her prey. I'd rather do things more... I dunno... quietly, I suppose? Either way, I was about to hit the arcade, if you're interested."She glanced at him over her shoulder, looking him up and down with her good eye, said eye gleaming mischievously.

"Virtual Reality school, with no tests and nothing -but- fighting? Why does this seem like a cut-and-paste cartoon plot?"
A series of code and polygons started shifting into the area nea the cafe, the sign of a new player entering Virtuas' system. It all happened within a second, the boy now fully generated and taking control of his body. "Woah... that's a different feeling." He looked at his hands, touching his fingertips to each other and patting himself down, checking everything was in order. "Pretty fancy stuff. Almost feels real, to be honest." Ken, now finshed with his personal check up, decided to get his bearings. Looking around the area, he discovered the area was reminiscent of a small town market area. This particular area contained all of the food and grocery stores. "Sweet. Alrighty, let's see if I can remember how to do this... Ah!" He placed his thumbs and forefingers together and spread them, the menu and HUD appearing before him. "Schweet. Now for a test-walk... map... cafe... aaaaaand waypoint." An arrow, only visable to him, appeared in front of him, pointing backwards. As he turned there was a trail of arrows, much like that you'd see in a video game, pointing him down a small flight of stairs. Again, only he could see them. "Schweet" He was obviously treating this as if it were a video game, making hi seem simple in this aspect. He was a gaming fan, so obviously he'd treat it as such.
As he walked onwards, he noticed someone talking. He stopped for a moment, out of memory of whole situation he was in. Okay, people talking. That means players. This is PVP, so there's a chance I'll get into a fight. He stood for a moment: Anyone looking at him was thinking there was a cautious man before them, simply taking in the situation. Then he just kept walking, straight into the thick of what could be a very dangerous situation. He was no idiot, he just enjoyed a good slug-fest. As he continued, his waypoint disappeared and he noticed someone down the side of the cafe: a cat-girl. He got his 'what the-' face on at the almost eye popping sight. He almost forgot he was in a VR system, so he snapped out of it fairly quick. Okay, that was a little weird. Must be a purchasable skin or something. As the pair began convening, he took notes on what they were saying. Not that there was too much info for him to remember, it was all pretty brief. The girl seemed like a fairly mischievous type, whereas the other guy was short spoke. Plus the funky eye pattern caught his own. He was unsure as to whether he should jump in and introduce himself, but he decided to let this one be judges by chance. Besides, there's an arcade involved. "I'm up for a game sesh." He comfortably sat on the fence above the cafe, one leg dangling with the other set on the bar below him. He had a leisurely smile on his face, just simply enjoying the perch he was on. "Nice ears: That a mod or something?"
"Not that I'm complaining, it just seems a little cheesy. Besides, this'll give me a little extra experience. Can't get enough of that stuff."

Riley was confused about all her mannerisms and the things that she said to him. Was she trying to be friends, seduce him, or wait until she gets bored to starts fighting. This girl was an enigma of the strangest kind to Riley, and he wondered what her intentions were. Normally he could tell from a person and their mannerisms, but this was entirely different than the usual person. He had to think it over for a few moments, and he actually contemplated going with her for a few moments, and was about to agree to her proposition. However, a new face showed up then. He seemed to be a new person, as he had not seen something as simple as a shape-shifting Physionic before. So it would seem that he didn't pose as much a threat as the girl. So that was pleasant. "It isn't a mod. It is a specific ability that she has. They should have at least told you about yours. They did that much for me, but sometimes people need a little push to activate it." He replied to the newcomer. "So what exactly did you have in mind, Catwoman?" He asked the girl who had yet to reveal her name, and he was not going to do so first.

Luce DeLuca This had gone even better than she'd hoped: two mice in one swipe. Her ears flicked slightly at the compliment, pivoting to face the direction from which the new voice came. She then turned to face the both of them head-on."Thanks, man. It took me absolutely forever to figure out how to maintain my form halfway. I'm a feline shape shifter. Meow~,"she added in a purring tone, swiping her claws through the air playfully."Anyway, what do you think I'd have in mind going to the arcade? Playing arcade games, duh. My name's Luce DeLuca. Pretty catchy, huh?"She giggled a bit, putting her hands to her hips."And you guys are? Jeez, since when does the lady introduce herself first? I swear, the guys here have no idea how to romance a girl like they used to."She shrugged, her cocky and nonchalant grin ever-present. She sighed dramatically, toying with her braid so long she had to coil it around her neck like a necklace to keep it from trailing behind her, and possibly getting stepped on."But anyway, I digress. And I'm getting impatient, so- names, then games, 'kay~?"

Riley watched the cat girl explain her power to the man who he had never seen before, and rolled his eyes at her 'cute kitty' act. He sighed when she stated the obvious reason one would go to an arcade, though many people went there for different reasons. "As far as I know, most people go there because it's dark, and there's a lot of noise, perfect for silently taking people and doing lewd things in the bathrooms." He shook his head thinking of how shameful that was, when she introduced herself. "Pretty catchy, yes. My name is Riley Zander." He chuckled at her obvious distaste for their lack of formality. "To be honest, it could swing either way these days. After all, you were the one who approached me, so I think you should have introduced yourself first regardless." He smiled lightly to the point if you didn't look close enough, it looked like a smirk. "And if you expect me to beat me in these games, you're going down." He chuckled and copied her cocky grin. "Trust me on that."

The guy was the first one to respond, telling him about the girls ability. In all honesty, they didn't tell him that you could go -this- far with certain abiities. "Well, they did and they didn't. I never knew you could go and make the shapeshift thing work in this aspect. Thought it was only a one-way operation, really." But if that's the case, I should have a good time with mine... He started to get a couple ideas about his Kinetic ability until he heard the girl speak up now. The whole alluring thing she was trying to do didn't really appeal to him, but he didn't make anything of it. "My bad, got caught up in the experience, hehe. Kenton Aristotle, but Ken's fine. Pleased to meet the two of you." His attention at the moment, however, was on the fact that there was an arcade here. "So.. that's the names. Where's the games?"
