Hobbies: Gotta Go Real Fast -- Everything in life is a race, and Horatio is all about speed. Eating contests, foot races, riding on remote-control cars, chasing bicycles, scavenger hunts--anything she can do fast is instantly an activity in which she wants to participate! She's not necessarily good at said activities, but she still wants to give them a whirl.
Pranking -- Horatio loves pranking. Sometimes they're fairly innocent. She'll move an item from its proper spot or claw her way into a part of the house she's supposed to leave alone. Harsher pranks might involve spilling various substances on unsuspecting victims, destroying non-essential things, or leaving hairballs in strange places. The pranks are not meant to be mean-spirited, but she sometimes has a hard time knowing when she's gone too far.
Playing -- Horatio loves games of all kinds. Fetch, hide-and-go-seek, tag, chase the laser pointer, paw at all the dangly things, awaken the Senshi -- you name, she'll play it! She's an equal opportunist in choosing playmates, but kids usually seem more willing to play than adults.
Cuddles -- When she's not out-and-about, Horatio's all about the cuddles. She loves flopping in a lap and having her ears scratched or her belly rubbed. Cuddling can also include grooming: a brush freeing her of the dead weight of hair is nice! As with playmates, Horatio sees everyone as a potential cuddle buddy.
Virtues: Determined -- When Horatio sets her sights on something, she will do whatever it takes to get to her goal. She tackles challenges with vigor and does not become easily discouraged. If the going gets tough, then she'll just get a little tougher to compensate!
Playful -- All work and no play? Not for this kitty! Horatio knows that an intergalatic, timeless war is exactly the place where a well-placed joke or a friendly challenge can make everything seem just a bit brighter. She approaches life as a bit of sport and tries to engage others in playing along with her. There's no need to get over serious when worrying never solved anything, right?
Gregarious -- Horatio always wants to socialize with others and not only sees herself as part of the group but attempts to usher in others as well. She's always willing to make plans and engage in all sorts of activities if it means having fun with a good friend. (Or making a new friend.) As a result, she's warm, open, and friendly.
Brave -- Horatio may be small, but she doesn't scare easily. She'll willingly tackle much larger opponents or difficult obstacles. She'll explore unknown areas or new people and skills as needed. Her bravery extends to those around her as well. If she has to jump into a fight to protect a Senshi or to awaken one, consider it done!
Flaws: Childish -- Perhaps it's because she spends so much time around kids, but Horatio is on the immature side. She can get overly excited over little things that makes her waste a large amount of energy for little reward. She tends to procrastinate on tasks she doesn't like in favor of her own desires. She can throw tantrums or pull pranks at inopportune moments. All of these can sometimes hamper her duties as Guardian Cat, either due to her own moods or because others do not take her seriously.
Motormouth -- Horatio talks
a lot. While giving explanations and introductions are sort of required for a Guardian Cat, she talks a lot about
everything. Some of it may be important, and some of it might just be what's on her mind at the moment. She also talks the way she moves: fast. She may leave her companions in the conversational dust, all while feeling like they're having a great time with her.
Attention Whore -- Look at me, Cuddle me, Play with me, Let me help--everything about Horatio is based on getting herself involved in whatever activitiy is going on around her. If she can make it to where said activity shifts to be about her, so much the better!
Domineering -- Adding together her other flaws, Horatio has a tendancy to be domineering. If someone wants to play a game, they should play the one she wants to play. If a meeting needs to be held, she's going to run it. Everyone should get a chance to talk - but only once she's done! While she genuinely wants whatever she is working on to succeed, this domineering attitude may bother the more independently minded.
