Unfortunately for him or fortunately the ysali dragon he had slowly driven insane and killed had clutch mates. Dapyhir had learned this...the hard way. Not one to gloat over his kills he couldn't help but stay in the cave where he had killed the Ysali dragon the night past. He had killed it, watched it disintegrate and claim the orb which had been its soul as his own. A nice start to his collection. However...the he was going to be in for a rude surprise when he heard the clattering of claws outside the entrance of the cave.

Up in an instant he quickly observed his immediate surrounding area it was...a dead end. He should of remembered that this dragon wasn't alone. True it spent most of its time alone but it did have clan mates and the did hunt together. This...was not going to turn out well unless he got out of there fairly quickly. Charging forward he took a deep breath and exhaled a fiery belch of flame.

The ysali dragons that had gathered at the entrance had been excited to start the day's hunt but the smell coming from the cave had perturbed them. They had smelt blood and caught scent of a strange drakien. They were soon to discover with a sudden blast of fire coming from the mouth of the cave who was responsible for the strange scent and their soon to be discovered dead clan mate.

As Dapyhir burst through the cave of the mouth he didn't bother trying to fight his way through them. Though the snarls and the growls of alarm as he burst through the flames of his own fire was enough to tell him that he was going to have to make a run for it. He never fought unless he had a plan of attack, and having no plan meant only one thing. Escape.

His feet hit the ground and his claws dug into the earth as he propelled himself forward. To leap for the air right now would only end up having the rest of the drakien come after him for possible revenge. Tilting his head he could hear them snarling and clawing their way after him. Snarls of rage erupting from behind as he raced on forward.

To many this may seem a cowardly act, but...for him this was the smart move to do. He analyzed the forest as it blurred around him, trying to find the right spot for him to loss his ...new fans. Taking a leap he jumped onto a nearby rock face crouching behind a large boulder as some of the ysali ran past. But not all of them were so blind and soon were after him yet again.

Off again he was running, he wasn't use to this sort of exertion, he would need to lose them...quick. It wasn't long before he managed to weave his way around and even backtrack a bit before losing them all. With a laugh, although a forced one his lungs burning from running for so long, he took to the flight and went to rest atop a mountain top for awhile. It had been too close...and though he would never tell anyone of his foolishness he would still pride himself over that kill.
