 The night was warm, and the air was unsettled and playful. Summer was here, and the lioness was out and about to see the sights once more, far from her pride. After the war, and nearly dying she realized what true beauty was. What life was. What life SHOULD be. For being a mid-aged lioness, you'd think she'd be more... 'old' looking. The only thing that looked of age was her scars. Now a veteran of war, a 'man' in her pride's eyes, she looked less for apperciation and more of relaxation. Fighting hard to come back to the pride only to find herself leaving it every chance she got now.
Her tail happily waving back and forth on the slated rock slab she laid upon. Absorbing the night sky before a sound caught her ears but she didn't become startled... No. Nothing surprised nor startled her now..

 They were lost. Utsuki thought this would be the way to the En Gedi pride, where a seer told him he would need to meet someone important. Of course, he used to know where it was, but after so long, you too would forget. This time, it was he- but he didn't seem as worried as his 'sidekick' Tsuitō. He loved lingering out his journies, they were always filled with mysteries and surprises that bewildered him greatly with fantastic views and amazing experiences. This helped him with his immense want to record everything he has known to bring back knowledge to the pride he loved. He'd move to enjoy and absorb the sights and smiled when he finally found a shadow against the shadows... Night had fallen, and although he would have loved to stop way back when, he didn't and pushed on til he could find out where they may be at.
At least so in the morning he could make out a plan. Flopping his head up from the long grass.
"...Ah, Good evening.."
The hyena was different than others of his species. For all the bad reputation they withheld, he was quite. Surreal. Dutiful. And Humbled. He was also attached to a lion, whom rarely were seen being friends. When they got lost, he was fretting inwardly, and his outward appearance LOOKED worried, but really he was focused and putting down tracks that he could follow just in case they were going around in circles. Sometimes, seeing in the dark was his species best ability... and following Utsuki around were one in the same. Before he got a chance to speak up, Tsuki already found someone in the area, and knowing he was usually unwanted, he hid behind Utsuki just in case.. But if the other was aggressive, he'd protect the lion with his very soul. Everything he had in him, that's how far his dedication went.
He looked the girl over, and even in dead of night, he saw the scars and the oddly colored eye that shined in the dark like the moon above. Flicking his small tail as his head dipped low. Waiting...
