The run from the Firani was one that took them some distance from where they had started out, finding that they could make really good time when there was something dangerous and pissed off gnawing at their heels. When the distant roars could no longer be heard their retreat started to slow before coming to a halt, something that Junjie was more then too happy for. Leaning over he rested his hands on his knees, gasping for a breath, his green tipped wings fluttering rapidly behind him as though he were trying to cool himself off, "Phew... that was... scary..." He said in a gasping tone before he squatted down, snuggling Abellio close, nuzzling against his warm, soft feathers, "It's alright now, we made it far enough for that grouchy dragon." He said in a sooth manner to the little Keinling that was pressed close to him, grumbling about it. He nodded his head in agreement, "Yeah, that's what I'm feeling." He said, then lifted his head up, smiling down at him. He was glad that Abellio was alright, he was such a good, sweet boy, and one of his best friends.
Pushing to his feet he brushed off sand from his robes before he turned his attention to Eku, taking a couple steps closer to him, "Are you alright? I saw what you did... that must have hurt..." He said, tilting his head, trying to peek around in an attempt to see the Oblivionite's back, to see how his wounds were doing. They must have hurt... was he still bleeding? Had sand gotten into the wounds? That would probably make it all that much worse too, "Do you want me to look it over?" He asked of him, worry showing clearly in his tone as he stepped closer to Eku. It was obvious that he was worried about him, about the wounds that he'd given himself, and that he wanted to see to it that he was made to feel better. He'd used those spells, spells that required blood as a catalyst, and it was to help him out. His Ysali powers weren't strong enough to stand against the Firani himself and because of that Eku had to use such powers to help in holding back the dragon so they could escape. Junjie couldn't help but feel a little guilty for it.
Shifting his staff from one hand to the other, he then added, "I don't mind looking them over, if you wish of course." He couldn't really force his help on him but he would offer it nevertheless and hoped that he would accept the help as thanks for what Eku had done for him. Already he was vowing to work harder, train harder, and to get stronger so that he could be better prepared for the next time he ran into a Firani dragon.

They have been running for so long, Eku didn’t dare to look back and see if the Firani dragon might be chasing after them or not. But the mage did have to rely on his auditory skills to hear just how far along they are. The roars echoed across the desert sand but it was soon sounded faint which was a good sign to Eku. He didn’t feel like fighting them or fighting anyone for his back is killing him. From the constant running he can feel that he is steadily bleeding again and possibly some splinters sticking in his skin too for he had to cut his body with his scepter instead of his knife which would be a smoother cut, less painful, and less splinters. But it wasn’t much that he could do at that point anyways.
But once they were at a safe distant, they finally slowed down their running as Eku panted heavily for air to return in his lungs. He looked to see that Vilzun came up running to him, crying out in such relief, and the Oblivionite raised his hands up weakly to slow him down so he won’t be toppled down. “It . . . it be fine Vilzun . . . all fine.” The mage assured him as he reached down to pat his head to calm him down and the young keindred nuzzles lovingly to his hand. It was the first time ever he was this nice for he didn’t try to bite his hand off. His attention was soon turned to see Junjie who had then asked about his injury on his back. He stood up straight to see him and even looked slightly baffled about of when he was asked about the injury on his back that he had caused to himself.
Eku turned his body to one side in order to see the gash on his back as best as he could to see the wound. “Ya mean dis here?” He questioned him about it as he chuckled at the injury. “It hurts but I be havin’ some worse injuries before. I be fine Junjie.” Of course that didn’t helped him much when the mage looked up to see him stepping closer and his voice dipped in such worry for him. It was a first for someone to actually be worried about him which was so sweet. And even offering his healing help too if he wished for it! That made him chuckle as it was his turn to step closer to him now. “What I wish . . . dat be a dangerous thing to be askin' of me.” He said, his voice still rasped from the running before but it had a pleasing tone of voice still. “Ya know what I be, yes? I be an Oblivionite as ya eyes can see from me appearance. De evil of de world and be fightin’ ‘til me body turned to dust. Why . . . I might be feelin’ like hurtin’ dat cute face of yours once ya heal me wounds too.” A grin of an amused smile stretched along his stitched lips as he paused for a moment before invading into Junjie space. “But, if it be what you want den fine~” A playfulness was heard as he turned around and slipped off his fur collared jacket so Junjie can get a better view of his stitched and scarred body as well as the wound which is covered in sand and splinters with some blood trickling down. He then looked over his shoulder to see him once again. “But please, be gentle with me.” Eku was having too much fun with this despite his injury as he’s curious if he will really treat him or not.

When Eku turned to try to get a better look at his back Junjie gave a little wince at the wound that he had there, wondering if the powers he wielded were worth the pain he put himself through. It was one of those questions that he opened his mouth to ask before closing it, deciding that he didn't want to insult the guy. He probably spent a lot of time working on his powers, just as Junjie himself had. There was no reason for him to say anything against his magic, especially when it had saved them both back there against that Firani. As Eku started to say that he'd had worse injuries and that he was fine he shook his head, "Even if you have had worse there is no reason not to treat these ones now." He told him, not liking that he was even thinking about passing on the healing session that Junjie was offering.
As Eku stepped closer to him he starred up at him, head tilted to one side as the other tried to... intimidate him? He blinked up at him a couple times, then gave a bit of a smile. So he was the 'evil of the world' was he? Giving a shake of his head he said, "I don't know, I've met some other Oblivionites, they are rather good friends of mine... so I can't quite see you as being the scourge of the world." He told him before gave a bit of a laugh, "Besides, according to what I hear if either of us is supposed to be the 'evil of the world' it would be me. I mean just look at me." He said, giving a little flutter of his green tipped wings. From what he gathered everyone, all of the races, didn't care what he was. That Eku didn't seem to mind, which was a nice thing. When he mentioned wanting to hurt Junjie's 'cute face' he gave a bit of a chuckle, "Cute face? That's nice of your to say, thanks." He said, finding it kind of funny that the guy was both complimenting him and threatening at the same time, it was an interesting and confusing mix that was for sure.
Eku moved in quite close to him and after a moment seemed to relent, telling him that it would be fine, but that he was to be gentle with him, "I will make sure to treat you with the utmost of care, Ekundayo." He said in a soothing tone before he dug into his pack, getting out his water skin, "This might sting a little." He warned before he set to pouring the water onto the wound, rinsing away the sand and grit that was stuck in the wound. As he did so he took in the look of the rest of Eku's body, all the stitches and scars that he had, all of which made him wonder what it was that he did with his time to end up so roughed up. Poor Eku... it must have hurt getting all of these wounds, "You should try to be more careful... all of these look like they must have been painful." He said, worry in his tone as he brushed a hand against some of the scars. It must have pained him greatly and repeatedly he thought to himself as he turned his attention to the fresh wound, looking it over before he reached out, carefully removing a couple of splinters with the tips of his fingers, "Alright, I got the wound all cleaned up, now for the healing part."
Junjie tightened his hand on his staff before he lifted his hand out, letting it hover over the wound before he started to gather flickering green energy, waiting until he had enough of it before he started to feed it into the wound, "It might feel a little odd, to feel the wound knitting itself back together, but once I am done it shouldn't leave too much of a mark behind. You're doing good sticking this out." He complimented him, giving him a smile as he worked on the wound.

Well, he did have a point about that. The mage could only stop the bleeding by forcing it to coagulate where he has cut himself to sacrifice his blood. And sometimes it’s been caused by someone else which he doesn’t want to speak about. All that Eku did was just sighing and shrug his shoulders for he was defeated by him. “All right, ya be right Junjie. Next time I be more careful of meself den.” It still feels odd to have someone worry about him like that. It’s so foreign for it did make him raise his defenses slightly on Junjie’s reasons. It was bad of him of course but perhaps it’s just in his nature as the Oblivionite that he is to be on guard of whatever that is around him; even if they are nice like the Hybrid is being with him.
But he did try to push his buttons a bit in order to learn about this man. To him, he seemed to be a bit naïve as he saw those bright green eyes blinking at him when he invaded his personal space. But it was rather surprising to hear that he has met other Oblivionites who are his good friends. Just what sort of people are these? He has never met any ‘good’ Oblivionites at all unless it’s because he’s been away from his home for far too long and missed them. A brow quirked up from hearing his laughter for a brief moment as he made correction about who is the true evil of the world being him for he is of two different race. It certainly did made him chuckle and soon to laughter for the Hybrid didn’t seemed to feel threated about hurting his cute face and took the compliment. This guy was hilarious! So hilarious that he felt some of his blood bleeding through his injury. “Ha! Ya be one funny mon!” He really was to be making him laugh so much but soon the mage was able to calm himself down to sigh deeply with a grin on his face. “But ya be no evil at all if ya can only be makin’ people smile; like me. You’re good~” Junjie is the first Hybrid he has really made conversation with and confirmed that they are not evil at all.
Hearing the soothing tone of voice did made him feel at ease and placing his trust to Junjie in healing him as he looked over his shoulder to see him. “Call me Eku if ya like Junjie.” Ever since he was a child, he prefers being called Eku more than his full name. His hollowed eyes looked over at him to see he was grabbing some of his water to pour on his skin. The mage winced slightly in feeling the stinging that Junjie had mentioned. It stings like hell! But he had to bear through it for the stinging feeling soon passed. The worry in Junjie’s tone of voice caught his attention and also feeling the gentle touch grazing against his skin but more against the past scars that he has. “Pain be somethin’ I was born wit’ Junjie . . .” Eku said, feeling rather calm when he spoke instead of his playful nature. He rolled his shoulder so the Hybrid can see his stitches stretching and the ball joint of his shoulder as they pull and tug on his skin like muscle tendons only on the outside. “I be born wit’ dem stitches and dey hurt for a while but me body can adjust to de pain and it be nothin’ to me.” His body is special, but he hates it still. However, he looked over his shoulder to see him with a small smile on his face to show him assurance to stop worry about him. “But I be more careful so don’cha worry about me.”
The little splinter in his wound is so annoying but he stayed still and kept his attention on Vilzun in front of him who decided to take a nap in the warm sand. The Keindred was so funny. Eku was happy that his back was finally cleaned up and it was going to be healed. “Good! Dem splinters be too annoyin’.” He chuckled but the chuckling was cut short when he felt the healing magic on his wound which surprised him that it made him jump up a little bit. It was a different feeling that’s for sure! “Ah, thank ya kindly dere for everythin’ Junjie. Ya really shouldn’t have.” Such kindness, it’s so nice to see something like that. It makes him think that he should repay him since he did a lot to take care of his wound that he has caused to himself. “So what’cha be doin’ out here in the desert mon? Be huntin’ dragons?”

When Eku vowed to be more careful Junjie gave a bit of a smile and a chuckle, "Sorry, I am sure that I am acting just like some overly protective mother at the moment." He said, unable to help but to be amused by the fact that he was sitting here scolding an Oblivionite of all people. He really should try to be more careful he supposed but when it came down to it to Junjie it didn't matter who it was, he wanted to look after everyone. Oblivionite or no Eku still deserved the same amount of care, attention, and healing from Junjie even if the hybrid had no blood ties to him, "Still, I am glad to hear that you will be more careful, while I would never deny you a healing session I'd much prefer you not to need healed at all." He told him. Better that Eku were more careful and didn't find himself in need of Junjie's help then the opposite.
The hybrid gave pause when Eku mentioned that pain was something he was born with, something that caused his mind to race, wondering what he meant. Lifting a hand he rested it on Eku's shoulder lightly, "Well then, I will just have to help in taking away what pain I can." He offered, giving him a smile. He didn't like the idea that Eku was just adjusting to the pain and taking it, surely there were others around that wanted to help ease that pain? To relieve him of it? It seemed strange to him that he was just left to deal with it. No matter, he would help where he could he thought to himself. When Eku assured him once more that he would be more careful so that Junjie didn't have to worry about him he couldn't help but to smile, "That's good to hear, though I am sure I will continue to worry, it's a healer's duty to worry about others so I am sure I will still worry about you no matter how careful you are, it's just how I am." He said with a soft laugh before he returned to what he was doing.
The healing seemed to go well, with the wounds that Eku had knitting together neatly once he was able to clean them out of the sand and splinters that had gotten lodged into the open wounds during their retreat. Once the would had been deal with he gathered his power to himself and cast a final spell, one that would flow through all of Eku, to aid with any other wounds he might have gotten that weren't as easy to spot, bumps and bruises, scratches and scrapes, everything he might have picked up from their run in with the dragon. Eku had done a lot to protect Junjie so Junjie would do what he could for him in return. Once the final spell was cast he gave a smile, "All done, how do you feel?" He asked just as the other was asking him about what he was doing in the desert.
"Training, my teacher seemed to think I was having too easy a time against the Ayrala so I was sent here to battle with the Kiandri. I had a few scuffles with them but the Firani... they are something else entirely. I will need a lot more training before I am able to deal with them I think." He said in a musing tone before adding, "My Ysali powers are weakened in Eowyn, not much plant life to work with, so it makes things a lot more interesting. Might be why he sent me here."

An over protective mother huh? Well, he would have no clue of how a mother would act or be when he never had one. There wasn’t a person who picked him up when he fell or cared for him when he’s sick. But that is such a sad topic that Eku didn’t bring it up and rather laugh it out in sheer humor of it. “It be not a problem, Mama Jun.” He looked over his shoulder to see him as the mage chuckled in humor once again. It’s all in playful games and never meant to offend him. It’s good to see that there are some people who are like him and not war hungry mongrels on the search for the first scent of blood. But in fact, he is the hungry mongrel for fighting being that is what he is born to be in the first place. And so he will delightfully lie to Junjie. Oh yes, he will definitely be more careful when he completely destroy his enemy! At least for sure Eku will be out of harm’s way . . . well, if he didn’t use any blood magic of course.
For a moment, the mage thought that maybe he has said a little too much about himself. Of course the Hybrid will have no idea at all about what he’s talking about the pains he has since his birth. But feeling the gentle hand on his shoulder made him pull out of his thoughts and looked over at him once more. Ah, he really is the funny one to offer such a help to him. He chuckled once again and lifted his hand up to pat on top of Junjie’s rested hand. “Do what ya can do. That’s all I be askin’ of ya.” And he said nothing more as he faced forward again to let him continue with the healing process on his wound. Eku shouldn’t bother him anymore if he wanted to be patched up faster.
He tried to stay still though during the process, but it felt so weird to him. He can feel the knitting on his lower back where he had cut himself and also the removal of all the tiny little grains of sand and prickly splinters out of his skin. Vilzun had been curious the entire time as he stared at the mage and also Junjie as well on what he’s doing to him. But he gave him a smile just to assure the Keindred that he’s fine. That is, until he felt another spell cast upon him and he jumped up slightly in feeling the energy coursing through his entire body. “Oi! Tell me when ya be castin’ back dere.” This is a brand new thing to him and the sensation is completely odd, but a good kind of odd since he’s feeling that his body is getting healed up. Even the bite marks on his hands that Vilzun gave him plenty of times are healing up. That was the amazing part.
Once everything was finished, he lifted his arms up high to stretch his newly healed body out from its tensed state. “Be feelin’ really good now. Thank ya much Junjie.” The mage appreciates all the help he has given him and so he listened to his story of why he was out here in the desert as he grabbed his jacket to slip it on once again. Training, well that does make sense but this was some sort of intense training to him since they are in the land of where there’s little life at all for Junjie’s magic. “Ah, dis be some crazy trainin’ for ya den . . .” He commented as he looked around to see the golden seas of sand around before his gaze returned back to him. “Maybe he be wantin’ ya to expand ya magic den against de Firani. Dere be different life out here other dan trees and vines.” It's not in his place at all to tell him things of magic, especially when it's about something he has no clue about. But surely Junjie can think of some more skills with the use of like cacti and brittle bushes that Eku has seen around. He would definitely not want to fight him at all if the Hybrids knew how to handle them. He was stuck by a cactus and that wasn’t fun at all. “Now I be sorry even more for interruptin’ ya trainin’.” He chuckled about everything now of how funny it is as he looked up to him with a sheepish grin across his stitched lips. “But ya seem te be a smart mon, you’ll figure dis out.”

Junjie gave a bit of a smile when it seemed as though the final spell he cast had startled Eku, not exactly what he had been going for but interesting since he hadn't thought that it was really something that could startle someone. Giving a smile he reached out to pat him on the shoulder, "I will be sure to warn you next time." Though he'd be rather happy if there were not next time, preferring the idea of Eku remaining whole and healthy opposed to the Oblivionite needing more of Junjie's healing powers used upon him. The same could be said of any of those that he cared about though he thought to himself for an idle moment before pushing the thought aside. He'd just met Ekundayo, he couldn't instantly categorize him as a friend, but he couldn't help it. He liked him well enough, he'd helped Junjie out of a tight spot, and he seemed pretty nice even though he knew what Junjie was. No reason why he shouldn't see him as a friend if you asked Junjie.
When Eku said that he was feeling good, thanking Junjie even, the hybrid couldn't help but to perk up, smiling in a happy manner, "You are very welcome, Ekundayo." He said in a happy tone of voice, finding that he rather liked the idea of being thank for his spell casting. There were many out there that would dislike Junjie on the spoke due to what he was, as such being thanked was something that made him feel all lighthearted, something that had Abellio casting him an odd look in fact. He glanced over at the Ysali Drakein a moment, met his stare, then looked away from him and back at Eku when he spoke up once more, giving a nod of his head.
"Yeah, it's a little tough but I have a few other spells to fall back on due to... ahhh... well, what I am." Being that he had Orderite blood flowing through him he had the ability to cast spells that were usually for them and them alone. It was something that he liked... though at the same time it still meant that his Ysali side was weak out in the desert meaning he would need to train harder so as to strengthen that part of himself. As Eku mentioned there being different life out here other then the trees and vines he perked up a bit more, looking curious, wondering if he might give him a tip... but it seemed as though he were holding back. Maybe he felt that Junjie should figure it out on his own? Most likely the truth, his teacher wouldn't have sent him all the way out here after all so that he could learn the answers from other people. It was his job to figure it all out, to get stronger, and to be able to protect himself. Giving Eku a smile he said, "There is no reason to be sorry, I have to admit taking a break from time to time to chat with others is rather helpful, the desert can be a lonely place for long stretches of time after all."
He turned to look quickly over at Abellio, "Not that I don't enjoy your company of course, Abellio." The Drakein gave him a long look before nodding his head, looking back to Vilzun once more. It was obvious that he might be a little jealous of Eku but he wouldn't admit it out loud for just anyone to hear. As such Junjie smiled, sure he would hear about it later. For now though he'd enjoy his time with his new friend. Turning back to Eku he said, "Thank you, your confidence in me makes me feel ready to face off against the next challenge ahead of me." Though he couldn't guess yet what that might be. No matter what it might be though he felt ready to meet it due to Eku's kind words and encouragement.
