Dakota had about enough of this hit and miss with the little sunspot. First the pod room, then the kissing booth and lastly the cafeteria with the whole coffee escapade.
There was only one thing to do and that was....To catch her by surprise and figure out her deal.
How she ticked...what buttons to press...it was only then he would have the power to become a really good friend OR
A really annoying friend.
As such...He was perched outside the sun lounge in wait...Ninja like. As much of a ninja as a 6'5 giant could be..
"Come on Sunny spot."Beejoux I started a thing biggrin

After everything that had happened during the whole coffee fiasco Peyton had locked herself in her room for around twelve hours before hunger forced her back out into the general populace. She'd gone to the cafeteria and had a blissfully uneventful lunch, and was actually feeling quite a it better as she headed back to the dorms. So far nothing crazy had happened, and she'd even gotten to remove the bandages that covered her hand. It was still a little bruised, but everything that had broken was now whole again. It was turning out to be a nice day. Little did she know a certain Moon division ninja was waiting just around the corner to ambush her. She was none the wiser as she strolled through the Sun common room humming a P!nk song that had been in the top ten almost a year ago.

Dakota didn't even have to look around the corner to know that Peyton was coming. Her singing a sign of her blissful unawareness.
And then he lept.
It wasn't hard to pick up the smaller girl and gather the sun trainee over his shoulder, taking off with a powerful gait towards the lighthouse portal. Like they were in ten minutes or less with his running.
"Two to the arcade bro!" he said and didn't even bother to really wait as he yelled it. Then they were off the Island and out in real life. Aka they were in some huge arcade and Dakota had her slung over his shoulder and grinned.
"Welcome Peyton, to the arcade. thought it'd be a good first date." He nodded and then waited for her reaction.

Poor Peyton. She hadn't even considered the possibility that anyone would want to ambush her besides maybe Tuck, and certainly not inside the dorms. Dakota had actually managed to snatch her up and toss her over his shoulder before she even registered anything had happened. He was lucky really, that he'd managed to shock her rather then all out startle, cause she might have tried very hard to kick him if it had been the latter. As it was she gave a rather undignified sort of squeal as he took off out of the dorm and towards god only knew where. "What the ********?" Tany hands pressed into his back so she could push herself up enough to see who the hell was carrying her, and when she realized it was Dakota her cheeks flushed scarlet. "What are you doing?" She sounded a little distressed. Being able to see only where they'd been, and not where they were going, Peyton had no idea where he was taking her. Though even if she did, she wouldn't have known why. He managed to get her through the portal and into the real world with minial questions or protests, at least until he mentioned the word date. < That was nicely played.> Drawled Warrick, and Peyton hissed back at him before turning lavender eyes on the giant of a moon hunter that still had her slung over his shoulder. "Was this strictly necessary?" She growled between clenched teeth, furious with herself for the rosy tint of her cheeks. Fighting she understood, but dating, or boys in general, she was not good at. Her experience with the opposite was pretty damn limited. "I don't suppose you'd put me down now?" It was almost polite, aside from the coating of sass.

Dakota's answer was a simple:
"Yes." And then grinning, grinning all over as he set her down.
"We got a goal here Peyton, just one...." He bent his form down to eye level with her, his voice hushed. If he noticed her blush, well it was just so adorable that he didn't want her to shut it down. Instead he nodded his head to the winners ticket exchange.
"We're here for prizes. Games too but I think the prizes are the best. Need a little unwind. Plus you seem the super serious type, So games help you ease up. Then you can tell me about your cute little self."

The dainty Sun begged to differ on the absolute necessity of him having to ambush her, though in all honesty he was probably right. She stared at him a moment, then gave a resigned sigh, shoulders sagging slightly. "Fine." If he realyy wanteds to spend time with her, why was she so determined to push him away? It didn't make a whole lot of since. She'd always used the fact that she was awkward around boys as a crutch. A reason not to step out of her comfort zone, but being on the island, awakening into this new life, maybe it was time to start facing the things she usally ran from. Social interaction with attractive men that seemed to have gotten the impression that she was cute was included in that. Besides, she hadn't been to an arcade in years, and she'd always liked video games. She didn't know if theyd actually get as far as her opening up about herself, but they could at least have a little fun, right? Right. Probably. "Any particular prize we're going for?" Thin arms folded over her chest, weight shifting to one hip.

"Nope, The big one." He pointed at the huge stuffed animal that currently took up the whole space of the ceiling area of prizes. It was labeled at 10000 tickets and well...Peyton looked like she could use something cute and fluffy to go with ehr.
"We can start at whichever Machine you want cutie, I will be funding this project." He pulled out the crips 5's before going to the quarter machine. Once he turned in a couple of them, he came back and gave her half of his giant pile.
And his eyes might've sparkled a little. "Whatcha want to try first Peyton?"

Peyton followed his pointing finger up, and just sort of stared at the giant alpaca that was currently strung up over the prize counter. All things considered about the tiny Sun, it was probably for the best Dakota had kept his opinion of her needing something cute to himself. It would have made her not want it. Staring up at it though, head tilted slightly to one side, she could admit to herself that it was kind of neat. In all her youth, she'd never yet managed to snag the mother of all prizes from an arcade. "We're trying to win that? That's going to take a lot of quarters." Challenge accepted. So it was lady's choice as to where they would start? The Sun spot turned, taking in the entire arcade as she took inventory of just what they had to offer. It was a pretty damn good arcade, actually. They had what looked like endless shooting games, the normal skee-ball and other things you'd find most places, and a very wide selection of the more rare games that had to be shipped over seas. It was the later that had pink lips tugging up into grin as Dakota returned with the quarters. She crammed the offered handfuls into her pockets, then pointed towards a very colorful machine with two heavy duty floor panels with arrows. "You any good at DDR?"

"Believe me babe. I got a lot of quarters." He grinned and followed her, "DDR?" Really. Really why did all the chicks pick the dancing games.
"Well if that's what you want babe..." Her threw his arms over her shoulder and urged her over to the machine. "I've got some moves...." He was the dance master, He could handle the dance machine.
"So let's do this..."

The dainty hunter shrugged, then nodded, the corners of her lips twitching up into a smile. It wasn't just dancing games, really. Pey actually liked to dance, a lot, but tended not to do it where anyone else might see her. Usually she kept her moves restricted to her room, or the shower. Anywhere private. An arm settled around her shoulder and though she briefly tensed she didn't try to shrug it off. He might have kidnapped her into this date, but he was being nice, and paying for everything, and she did like arcades. A smirk replaced the grin at his admission to having moves. "I'll believe it when I see it," she countered, pale brows lifting in challenge." She stepped up onto the machine, inserted the appropriate number of quarters into both slots, then scrolled through the music until she got to one she liked. Music selected, she gave Dakota a pointed look as she set her difficulty to hard, then hit the button to indicate she was ready. "Game on, bro."

And Dakota response was to step on the machine and let go:

Somehow he still managed to hit a lot of great and perfects.

That was unexpected, shocking, but hilarious and a little impressive. Challenge accepted! With a grin Peyton fell into line beside him on the machine, and together they were like this: Only perhaps not quite that in sync. Still, That giant alpaca was in the bag!
