Ara sat on the forest floor, holding her injured hand close to her chest as she rummaged through her pack for bandages. She soon found some and began wrapping them around the bleeding fingers. She let out a frustrated sigh as she tapped the bandages so they wouldn’t unravel. Dragon hunts really were beginning to be frustrating to her. Her friends back in the Celestial Plane were constantly boasting about all their kills and how fun it was. Some of them even showed off their dragon orbs, proving they were not lying about their wins. Araceli wasn’t having any kind of fun and she certainly didn’t show off any orbs. When her friends would ask about her hunts she’d blush and tell them that she didn’t feel like bragging. Truth was, she hadn’t killed a single dragon yet.

Just as she was pushing herself up a green blur shot past her, knocking her back down. She went down with an omph and looked around frantically. “What was that?!” She asked no one in particular. In the next instant a young Ysali dragon was in front of her. Behind it, the baby dragon from before. Ara gritted her teeth together. It seemed this dragon had some bigger friends or family. “I’m not scared of you.” She blurted out as she stood up, readying herself for a fight.

She pushed away from the ground and took off towards the dragon. Catching the larger Ysali off guard she got in a few good whacks. The dragon regained it’s focus quickly after and brought it’s tail around towards Ara. Too late, Ara noticed the attack and the tail connect with her stomach. The air was knocked out of her as she was sent sailing backwards into a tree. A moan escaped her lips as her consciousness slowly faded.
