Eku needed a new tactic. That is what he learned from the past battles with the Ayrala dragons as they can blow away his magic and then him away. And they have always snuck up on him too rather the other way around. And so, the mage has thought of something up which will happen at night. Vilzun was left at the camp as he was in a deep sleep after eating a lot for dinner. It would be for the best so he wouldn’t hold back his revenge. He does care for Vilzun despite the times he has been chewed up. The drakein is his family and his only family too.
The mage traveled to the Great Rocks once more, cloaked in darkness, to find the Ayrala dragons. They should be asleep now and unaware by his presence. He steadily climbed up the rocks as he peered through the darkness to find a sleeping Ayrala who will be his victim. From his slip ups and near fallings, he has found one in his sight and just like he thought it was asleep too. It made him grin at the sight as he held his scepter at hand. The skull on top began to give off an eerie, dark glow as he changed from using his blood magic to shadow as a sphere of energy was formed and launched the dark sphere right at the dragon’s head. It cried out in pain and shock from once being asleep.
The dragon was seeing stars now as it tries to realize what is going on in its surroundings but it opened those wide wings in attempt to blow Eku away. But the mage was prepared for it as his blood threads looked dangerously sharp and pierced right through the wings. The dragon shrieked in pure pain as its proud wings were speared through which is the source of power. And Eku chuckled in seeing the dragon’s pain, squirming and write in agony, before him as he held up his scepter again to cast his shadow magic once again. “Bye bye~” The Ayrala took a full frontal attack of his barrage of magic. It was so much that the wings were slowly being ripped off by the sharp spikes and the dragon fell back, bleeding, lifeless. Eku stood over the beast with no regret shone on his face as he saw it decomposing to mere dust with only its soul left in place as he gladly picked it up with a grin on his face. “Thank ya for your soul . . .”
