Q. What is Shadow Rot?
A. It is a curse that spreads from the darkness unleashed from the Rift. If a person comes in contact with it, it can sometimes infect them much like an illness. To a person who was weak in body or power, it would sap the life from them like a disease, but to a person of stronger ability, it would twist them into a dark version of themselves, bringing to the surface all their hidden negativity and bad thoughts and feelings. While it would increase their power with rage, it would eat at them, slowly eating away their senses and morals and all their goodness until all that was left was a monster.
Q. Can Shadow Rot be cured?
A. Shadow Rot cannot be completely cured at the moment, but it can be contained with seals, counter-curses and strong holy magic. Since it is fueled by negative emotions, a strong bout of anger or grief could break these seals.
Q. Who is affected by Shadow Rot?
A. Any race, age, and gender can be infected with it. It does not spread from person to person, however.
Q. I have a Majin or Spiritus. Can other people tell they're not human? Can my character tell if they're not human?
A. Nope! If you decide to let them garner a guess at your character's inhuman heritage, that's up to you. However, do not assume that just because their character is also a majin or spiritus that yours can detect this.
Q. What is a 'Feeder'?
A. Feeders are witches who willingly allow themselves to be a 'servant' to a Spiritus or Majin Witch Eater, bringing them victims or aiding in their schemes in return for protection from having their own heart eaten. Feeders are typically as frowned upon as witch eaters themselves.
