✦ Caravan Raid ✦

You are sneaking into a Caravan at night for a raid. What you are there for is up to you, tasty food, materials, precious metals and stones, or just raiding for the fun of it.

As you slink along the outside looking for your prize you spot an Apprentice's carelessly lost Dragon Orb laying underneath a wagon.
If there is a group, you spot an open bag lying on the ground with an orb laying just inside the opening of the bag.

Alone: How do you go about retrieving the orb? Do you sneak in or barge in blatantly and rely upon speed and strength to get you out?
Group: Do the rest of you go about stealing what you came about while one attempts to be a distraction and one goes to grab the bag of orbs? Or do you all try sneaking?

Sneaking:: (All who try sneaking must roll)
Roll a d100::
80-100 :: You are successful in sneaking and get out scotch free
21-79 :: You get to the orb without being spotted, but are seen as you try to leave. RP your escape.
1-20 :: You get spotted on your way there and must RP your snagging the orb and your escape.

Barging in/Decoy::
There is no roll for this, but you must RP an encounter with the caravan's people. Do you try to intimidate them? Or just rush in and out and hope you and your companions all get out safely. How do you try to preoccupy the caravan people while your buddies sneak in and raid? If one of your companions tries to sneak but gets caught, do you run to help them or try to drive off the two-leggers and let your friends escape?



Have fun with this one. There are so many ways that this can go, so feel free to do as weird of stuff as you want! You may RP a fight with the caravan people: you won't need to roll for that fight nor will you get any EXP, but it is another option to play around with.

Ugh... this was killing him... why were they still here?! They had been sitting here for what felt like ages, watching those arrogant two-legs as they trotted around their camp. What they wanted, that being the bag with the glittering orbs in it, was riiiiight there! They could get in, get out, make one amazing mess, and be on their way so why were they just sitting here? Eyphah set to clicking his claws against the ground beneath them in an obviously annoyed manner. This guy, he just had no idea what fun was, did he? He wanted to sit around and watch and plot and plan! Eyphah had a plan figured out ages ago, they should go with that plan! It was far more fun then what the other one would come up with, of that he was certain.

When D finally spoke up he found himself right on the money too. He said the most efficient way of dealing with them was to sneak up on them. A surprise attack, if any attack. Why was it that he thought that was thrown in just to keep him quiet? He bet the Firani wanted to sneak in, take the orbs, and sneak out in a manner that was far too cowardly for his liking. Giving a rumbling sound in his throat he set to shaking his head, "No... no sneaking! You sneak if you want, Firani, but I will show those worthless creatures the might of a Diabi!" He said, stomping one foot against the ground before he went charging forward. He was tired of sitting still! He wanted his battled, he wanted his orb, and wanted to make a massive mess of this place!

The Diabi crashed through the first, unlucky soul that he came across, sending the guy flying, and his charge continued in a sort of zig-zag pattern, making sure to knock over as much stuff as he could, and body check as many of the people as he could. It was way, way, way too much fun and one could tell that just by the look that he had on his face. It didn't take long before the entire camp as in a tizzy, everyone startled over the attack, but slowly getting their heads in the game and went for weapons. If any of them even considered for a moment that the Diabi might not be alone they didn't show it, all eyes were on Eyphah, something that the Diabi loved more then anything.

"Alright, fools! Time to hand over the orbs before I turn you all to lunch! Ahahahahahah!" Yes, far too much fun indeed.

Eyphah glanced around as he charged about, making one amazing mess of things, and noticed that he didn't really see D anywhere. He just wasn't any fun at all, was he? He should be here enjoying all of this he thought to himself as he lunged forward to body check a nearby warrior, sending the poor guy flying to face plant against the ground. It was an image that caused him to burst into laughter once more, far too amused for his own good with the fact that the various two-legs were so damn soft. Too easy he thought to himself as he crashed around, then spotted the bag that had drawn the two of them to this place, "Ooooh, there you are, beautiful!" He chirped, rushing toward it, grabbing it up in his jaws and returned to making a mess once more.

After a time of knocking things over, chasing off the animals that were in charge of pulling the caravan's wagons, and punted a few more people before he started to race off away from the rather pissed off group of two-legs. Oh what a wonderful, wonderful day! Nothing would ever top this... well... until the next grand idea that he came up with he thought to himself. Now... to see if he might be able to figure out where D went. Maybe back where they started? He was probably still there plotting what his next move would be instead of doing anything interesting... or anything fun... the guy needed to lighten up if you asked him.

Eyphah laughed happily as he raced off, making it a good distance before he turned to look back at the caravan taking in the fact that everything seemed to be on fire. He couldn't help but to grin, his eyes glowing, before he hurried off. It was a wonderful sort of thing, to see the mess made, the flames catching the caravans, all the stuff in them, and had a lot of people screaming. Excellent, the fire seemed as though it was helping in allowing him to escape without much in the way of effort, "Huh, seems that Firani was doing more then just plotting, that's good to see." He muttered around the bag in his mouth, eyes glittering in delight, before he hurried along once more.

The large, scarred up Diabi only stopped when he returned to the point that they had started at, turning the bag upside down, pouring out the contents... and he gave a rather colorful cursing, "That's it?! All those two-legs and they had two Ayrala Orbs? Idiots!" He complained, eyes going narrow as he threw the bag aside and glared down at the orbs. What worthless two-legs! There were enough of them they should have had a whole trove of orbs instead of two total, how useless! Bah, worthless he muttered again before flopping over on his side to await D's return, obviously sulking.

"The two-legs are more useless then I had first thought save for being a good snack to chew on." He said as he pushed himself up right, glaring down at the two orbs, "Can you believe this nonsense? There were how many of them down there and all they could gather were two orbs? I can do that in my sleep!" A slight exaggeration since he only had a small handful of orbs but never the less he was still doing better then a whole band of useless two legs. How he wanted to go back there and punish them for their weakness and inability to get a whole sack of orbs for D and himself to steal out from under them. When D suddenly announced that the two orbs 'would do' he turned to glare at him, "What?!"

Giving a growl he motioned with one angry hand at them, "There are only two orbs, D, meaning one each, that won't do at all. Feh, had I known I would have grabbed one of those two-legs for dinner to sweeten the deal." He spat out before he batted one of the silvery orbs over toward D, scooping the other one up to stare down at it. Feh, well... at least it was fun... getting to send a group of them screaming, but it was still grating, "I suppose that maybe going to the source might just be the better idea in the long run." He muttered to himself, tail lashing. At least that way he would get dragon bones to chew on.

Eyphah turned to look over at the Firani as he mentioned attacking a war camp if they wanted to have more orbs, something that he perked up over... until he realized that the guy was being sarcastic. Making a bit of a face he said, "I am not so weak that I would be killed off by a few weak two-legs... and I would have listened to the plan if it wasn't one that was so painfully boring. We got out fine, didn't we? No reason why we shouldn't enjoy what we are doing instead of skulking about, where is the fun in that? Better to see them scurrying about like the bugs they are, screaming like females." A beautiful sight, one that had him grinning again as he thought back on it. Alright, alright, so it wasn't that bad, but still disappointing due to the amount of orbs that they had been able to retrieve.

When it seemed that the Firani was off to pout over his plan being ignored he shrugged and starred down at the silvery colored orb that he had in his claws, "Mmm, we are going to have to get you back to the hidey hole where you belong, beautiful." He purred at the orb, admiring his reflection in it, until he caught the scent of... charred meat? Turning his head slowly as he spotted D, "Hey, you came back." He actually sounded surprised, having been almost certain that he was long gone and yet here he was... interesting. Tail swishing he took a few trotting steps forward to inspect what used to be a two-legs, giving a rumbling purr, "Mmmm... what a tasty looking snack." He said, happily digging in as the other chatted about hunting together for orbs. He wasn't sure what he thought about that but he supposed they could try that at some point.

"So long as you ease up on the planning, hunting is funner when you get to just... throw yourself into it. You should try it sometime, it's exhilarating." He told him between bites.

Eyphah lifted his head up, chewed slowly, then gave a nod of his head, "Alright, we have a deal." So long as the plans were drawn out, boring, and enough to make a guy want to fall asleep then he supposed that he could make the deal with the Firani. His tail set to swishing from side to side, nodded then returned to gulping his food, bones and all. Once he was done with that he was up on his feet, stretching out all over, before he gave D a toothy grin, "Shall we? The dragons out there are waiting for us! Their orbs are already ours, they just don't know it yet." He purred at the Firani before he started forward to stand alongside D, eager to get more orbs gathered when the other Drakein was ready to go.
