To say that he was having fun was a bit of an understatement. In fact chasing the Ysali around was the best form of entertainment, allowing him to sharpen various skills including tracking, sneaking, pouncing, and battling! All of which were going to make the Diabi a force to reckon with one day! The first Ysali he'd come across to day, in the wee hours of the morning, had been so oblivious to the fact that he was about and made the most amazing shrieking sound when he crash down on top of it from the shadows he'd been skulking in. There had been a brief tussle but the thing seemed to be so jarred by the sudden attack that all it really wanted to do was to flee... and flee it did. Eyphah, being 'kind soul' that he was, even allowed the creature a bit of a head start. He sat down where he landed after being bucked off from the green dragon's back, counted to ten out loud for all to hear, before racing along after the Ysali calling out, "Come out, come out, where ever you are!" In a cocky and almost playful tone of voice. The dragon and it's orb would be his soon enough, it was inevitable! All he had to do was catch up, pounce, and make short work of the Ysali he thought to himself, a wonderfully evil grin spreading across his features.
The Diabi slid to a halt when he caught the heavy scent of Ysali, a scent telling him that he was just about on top of the creature, and his tail starting to wag like mad. Here it was, his favorite part! The part where he got to pounce! There was nothing better then the initial pounce... well, aside from the thrill of the kill but that wasn't a given, not like the pouncing was. Crouching down low he set to preparing himself before charging forward, lunging forth from the underbrush and onto the back of the big Ysali... and as he landed, claws digging in, he realized something, "Hey... you aren't my Ysali." He murmured, wondering where the first one had gotten off to. Eh, no matter. He would take this one on then! If it wanted so badly to get in his way there was no reason why he shouldn't take the big one up on its challenge, right? While it didn't squeal in the same manner that it's cohort had it would still make a fine battle!
And what a battle it was. Unlike some of those he'd faced in the past this one didn't seem as though it was going anywhere, determined to stand its ground and face the Diabi that had started the fight. It was a glorious sort of battle full of snarling, biting, clawing, mass amounts of blood, and the thing that the Diabi had been looking forward to the most! A kill! The moment the barb on his tail struck home he knew it, the way that the dragon seemed to go completely still before collapsing, already in the process of crumbling as it fell to the ground. He hopped off the crumbling dragon to land next to it, watching in delight, finding that he rather loved this sight, before he trotted forward to grab up the glittering green orb into his clawed forefeet, giving it a smile, "Well now, aren't you beautiful?" He purred at it, checking it out then grinned at his reflection, "And you, you're pretty beautiful too I must say." He told himself, giving a wink before he looked from side to side.
"I do wonder where that other one got off too... eh, no matter... I will find it later and eat it up! For now I need to bring this orb back to my stash." He said then glanced over at the skeleton, tail swishing, as he trotted over to grab up one of the bigger leg bones in his maw, dragging it along with him. He would make a meal of the delicious marrow in the bones, knowing it was quite a delicious snack, one he would enjoy to its fullest once the orb was in the stash. For now he had to keep going.
