Apparently, Eku has made one very wrong turn. He wanted to try his hand against stronger dragons in part of his training to become stronger as he wanted to go against the Kiandri. And also it will be good for Vilzun to learn by observation seeing them in fight. But even as a Keidred, he’s still his same self . . . only with more energy. “Eku . . .” He said up to Eku tiredly. “Ekuuu . . .” It was the very first thing he learned which the mage brought upon himself when he used to address himself in third person in front of him. Now Vilzun is saying his name over and over which usually means that he’s hungry. “We be eatin’ soon. But first we be needin’ to find de Kiandri . . .” He said to him as he reached to pet his head lovingly which Vilzun loved. But hopefully they will find them. They’ve been walking south for so long he thought that they would be seeing them or at least hearing the sounds of crackling lightning from the dragons. But instead, it’s been unbearably hot despite the fact Eku is sparsely dressed as he wipe the sweat clean off his forehead. Perhaps too hot for Eowyn where a certain kind happened to love this sweltering heat and thrives . . .

Junjie rested a hand on his hip, the other hand holding onto his staff as he looked out over the dunes that seemed to be never ending and gave a little sigh, "I am sure that what we are looking for is around here somewhere." He said to the little Keinling who was trotting alongside him, still wearing the cloak that he'd borrowed from Jun some time ago. No reason to take it from him since Abellio felt safer when he wore it, as though the cloak were some sort of good luck charm, "This place is so huge though, it makes it a lot harder to find something specific it seems. I guess we will just need to keep looking though."

They had gotten information that said that there were dragons other then the Kiandri in this area, not that they had seen one thus far. The breed was called Firani and it seemed as though they were a fiery breed of dragon, "One would think it might be easier to spot them." He commented, thinking that a red dragon might be easier to spot against the golden sands then the Kiandri had been. No such luck though, they were still search for one of the elusive beasts. Opening up his pack he set about digging through it until he found his water skin, taking a sip from it before pouring some of it into Abellio's mouth, "Once we find one of them and see how tough they are we will take a little rest." Depending on how strong they were the two of them might be here a while before they were able to defeat one of them. It would be a shame, mostly since it seemed fairly deserted, but they would make due.

After they had both had a drink the pair of them continued forward, looking from side to side, his free hand lifted to shield his eyes, seeking out the powerful fire dragon that he hoped would show up sooner then later.

Eku sees that Vilzun seemed to be in heaven here in the sandy dunes as he’s running around and even rolling around to feel the grainy sand scratching his scales. At least one of them seemed to be having fun as Eku is walking behind him and drinking some water to cool him down and slipped the bottle back to his bag. Already he’s starting to regret ever coming here and should have stayed at Ayr and fight against the Ayrala dragons. But there’s nothing much that he can do now but walk in the freakishly hot desert. “If dere be no dragons I’m leavin’ here . . .” He muttered to himself to confirm with his plan because having sand in his hollowed eyes is extremely uncomfortable.

However, Vilzun saw one! His bright yellow eyes widen seeing what appears to be like a little green dot from the distance. Well, he has no idea what it is but his mouth is wide open and ready to bite whatever the green thing is. And with that, he started to run and Eku looked extremely distraught. “Vilzun! Where ya think you’re goin’?!” The mage yelled out to him but the keindred as gone already and now he has to run to catch up to him. And soon, he saw what Vilzun had spotted. It was some feathery keinling but it wasn’t alone seeing someone who also has feathers. “An Orderi?” He thought to himself as he stopped running to study the person up ahead. For a moment he thought it was an Orderite but he also has horns protruding from his head too as he assumed it’s a hybrid. But he was taking caution with the likes of him as he held his scepter at hand. Sadly to see that the Hybrid didn’t had any caution at all when Vilzun pounced on the green keinling in a very playful manner seeing how his tail and wings and wagging.

“Vilzun, what ya be doin’?” Eku yelled from the distant as he face palmed from the sight and walked up to them now seeing that he has no choice. His hollowed eyes taking a closer look at the man before him and he grinned; stretching his stitches across his mouth for he sees that he’s a rather good looking man. “How ya doin’, mon?” Eku greeted while walking up to Vilzun and grabbed him by his horn to pull him away from the Ysali keingling. “We be very sorry for interruptin’ ya. Ain’t dat right, Vilzun?” He stared down at the Kiandri who indeed looked very sorry as he let out a small little cry to the Hybrid and Eku letting him go before he looked up to him. “I’m Ekundayo Okoro. What be ya name, Hybri?” The mage calling him out by his nicknamed race as he always does; his smile turning slightly devious as he folded his arms across his bare chest.

Junjie's eyes went from searching from side to side looking for a clue about the dragons when he saw something small coming their way. His eyes locked on the little target and he couldn't help but to stare, "Huh?" What was that? He watched as it came closer and closer before he realized what it was, a little Drakein. He couldn't really say what age it was but still pretty small... and it was suddenly pouncing on Abellio, something that caused the little Keinling to squeal in surprise, "Ahh... hahaha... well, hello to you too." He said, watching them for a moment before he heard a voice calling out the new Drakein, a voice that drew his attention and instantly, despite knowing how rude it was, Junjie was starring.

"Wow..." He murmured to himself, taking in the details of the one that was approaching them. An Oblivioinite, the second that he'd met so far in Eowyn, and a rather strange looking one. Were those stitches? Was he hurt? But even hurt why would he need to stitch his mouth shut? He took a couple step closer, as though wanting to get a better look, hands itching to reach out and touch him as though wanting to make sure he was real. The dark skinned guy moved to catch hold of his playful Drakein, pulling him away from Abellio. The moment he did the little Keinling was shaking himself off, trying to get his feathers back in order, before rushing over to Junjie to hide behind him. He gave a little chuckle before turning his attention to the one who was addressing him, giving a smile, "It's quite alright, Abellio is just a little shy. I am sure he didn't see that pounce coming." It was likely why he was hiding now, though he was sure that he would get over it soon enough, might even come out to play if the pair stuck around.

The Oblivionite set to introducing himself before asking for his name, seeming as though he knew what Junjie was but didn't seem to instantly hate him for it. Interesting, especially given that they shared nothing that might keep the guy from coming after him. With Tyrok it was shared Dovaa blood and with Kilian it had been shared friendship with Erionda, with this one there was nothing like that. It was enough to make him smile before he said, "I am Junjie Moana, it's nice to meet you, Ekunda... yo..." His words seemed trail off as his focus went from looking at the one in front of him to what was behind him. Oh... jeez, of course it shows up now! He had a split second to react and, given that the Oblivionite seemed to already know what he was there was no reason to hold back in anyway. Junjie reached, one hand reaching out to Ekundayo's arm, a protective sort of move, stepping quickly passed him as he lifted his staff and unleashed a blinding spell from his arsenal of Aeduan spells.

The sound the Firani made once blinded, a rather pissed off roar, was one that echoed across the dunes, making Junjie wince a little before he readied his next spell. They were ready for this battle, the thing was on top of them, and they really needed to run, "Abellio! Go!" He told his Keinling, an order the little one obeyed instantly as he rushed away from the big, scary red dragon while Junjie did what he could to ward it off. He didn't like being jumped by dragons, less so when there were others around as he felt the desire to keep those around him safe, even if they were strangers to him. He wasn't the sort that would just abandoned those around him, instead wanting to keep them safe.

Ah, apparently he has caught the Hybrid’s complete attention for Eku can feel those green eyes searching upon his body and every inch of it. If he has eyes, they would be rolling for it’s not the first time for he could tell he must be thinking about the visible stitches around his neck and his lips. It was even adorable for the other male has stepped closer to get a better look of him for it made the mage chuckle softly in humor of it. At least it was good to see that there was no harm to the little Keinling who looked rather startled. He thought for the worse since the Ysali Keinling did belonged to him after all and could have potentially got hurt from the strong pounce of Vilzun. It was his first Hybrid that Eku met and found him rather interesting but as friendly as he’s being; his guard is up after seeing those feathery wings on his back.

But so far, he’s been pleasant and even introduced himself as Junjie Moana. And that is all he heard for his hollowed eyes were focused upon the newcomer who appeared behind the Hybrid; a Firani dragon. It gave a big shock to the mage to see it coming for them and it looked really pissed off just for existing right in front of it. Eku clenched on to his scepter tightly in his hand and he hears the sound of crackling sparks from Vilzun, but once again his attention was taken away when his arm was taken by Junjie and was . . . protecting him? “What he be doin’?” Eku thought to himself as he stared at him wide eyed but they were shut tightly when he saw a bright light emitting from his staff which even hurt his vision. The light of Aedun is not his best friend at all. Despite that, he was shocked to see that he was protecting him; an Oblivionite who are seen as the evil in the world.

Right now, it’s not the best of times at all to be thinking of such things seeing that they are in serious trouble with a Firani before them. “Vilzun, ya be goin’ too!” He demanded him to run along as well with Abellio. The Drakein was conflicted for he didn’t want to leave him behind at all but he was given no choice at all and ran off behind Abellio to stay away. But this was so funny to him for some reason. He started to chuckle as he’s standing close to Junjie while facing their impending doom. It sounds like some romantic drama that one of them should say something corny to the other before making the great sacrifice. And luckily, Eku is the guy who will do such a thing as his hand managed to grab on to Junjie’s arm and pulled him up close to him. “So, are ya ready to die wit me, Junjie; right here and now?” Eku grinned at the Hybrid and he actually leaned a little closer to him to share an intimate moment with him. But soon he stopped and let out a chuckle. “Too bad if ya be thinkin’ about it, but I’m not goin’ to die here.” And with the sharp edge of his scepter, he reached for his exposed back and sliced his skin; causing him to yelp in pain as the blood gushed out.

But it flowed in the air, following his scepter as Eku is in pain for he cast his magic of blood but he hides it well under a smile. The blood branched out, looking as thick as the bright red stitches that held his body together. Dripping from the ends are his floating skulls as he looked now like a tree bearing fruit. He laughed for feeling the sheer excitement as he lifts his scepter up and towards to the Firani to show his skulls the target to inflict damage to. “Go get it me skulls!” And they all flew over there to become its new pest. The Firani looked completely annoyed as they flew around it and whenever it clawed at one of them, they multiply instead of being completely destroyed. They collided right to the dragon’s eyes to further blind it more and sink their large teeth in its hide like ticks just until they boiled and burst from the sheer heat of the Firani. If they are going to run away, now should be the perfect time to do so.

It was a dangerous situation with a dragon breathing fire down their necks, so why was it that he found his attention to be fully on the Oblivionite? Likely because the guy seemed to be teasing him in such a manner, drawing him in close before asking if he was ready to die together with him. He felt himself flushing but he would attribute that the heat of the dragon's breath mixing with the heat of Eowyn itself, it was what made the most sense given the situation. As Ekundayo leaned in closer to him though he felt himself flushing a little bit more... and then suddenly the guy was laughing, talking about how he wasn't going to die here. As he withdrew Junjie found himself oddly disappointed, he'd chalk it up to the closeness steadying his nerves over the dragon attack.

All his wonky feelings were promptly forgotten when he saw the Oblivionite suddenly use the sharp edge of his weapon to cut into his own flesh, something that shocked Junjie to no end. Though if that was a shock what came next was even more so as the guy seemed to call up some sort of floating skulls from his blood, something that caused Jun's eyes to go quite wide. It was like nothing he'd ever seen before... was it perhaps the blood magic that Tyrok had spoken of? looking at the wounds on Ekundayo's back he couldn't help but to worry about him, wondering if such a power was worth such a heavy toll. It really wasn't his place to ask though was it? Especially not now, there were more important things to worry about, the big Firani being one of those things. Focus, Junjie, focus he told himself as he forced himself to stop fretting over the Oblivionite's wounds and face the dragon. Taking in the manner in which those summoned skulls were annoying the dragon, dragging its attention off them, he gave a nod.

Lifting his staff up he set to concentrating his power into it, this time surrounding it in a flickering green energy, and set about casting one of other spells. This one was difficult to cast in Eowyn due to plants being so rare, but after a moment and a lot of concentration a pair of scraggly desert vines burst up from the ground, entangling themselves around the front legs of the Firani, helping to better annoy the creature and slow it down. They wouldn't last long, not against a fire breather, but like the skulls he hoped that it would help to buy them some time, "We should probably follow suit and retreat with the Drakein." He said to the Oblivionite, hoping he wasn't the sort that was opposed to running because Junjie was all for it at the moment, wanting to put as much distance between them and the enraged Firani as possible.

Ah, Eku liked the expression on Junjie’s face so much when he spoke about dying together as he looked so shocked to hear. It seemed that maybe he did thought about dying right now when being faced with the Firani dragon, but that is a sad thing really. Junjie has a long life ahead of him and shouldn’t let it slip away; especially to someone who speaks such lovely words. Well, depending how the battle goes, maybe he might die before him and breaking his promise. He hated this magic he cast in which he’s basically the root of the branches that sprouted on his back. It’s sapping his life steadily to produce more of his skulls to attack and distract the Firani as best he can seeing that they can’t withstand the heat the dragon is emitting through. But he had to do it for it’s what he can do at the moment.

He saw the hybrid mage now preparing his attack against the Firani as a green light flashed from the end of the staff. From that, he saw these dried vines bursting from the desert sands. Eku was amazed to see Junjie is able to do something like that in a place where is basically lifeless. Despite his appearances, the hybrid is pretty strong as the Firani dragon is now snared in the vines and trapped. Surrounded with that and his magic flying around; they are now completely ignored by it. He looked over at Junjie who suggested about running away right now after their drakein. While Eku is the kind of guy who wants to be there until the very end of the fight, they are already at the end of their battle now. He waved his scepter to his lower back and cancelled his magic as the blood branches returned to its liquid state and fell to the sand as it was absorbed while his wound has already coagulate and sealed his wound up. “Yep! Get ya feet movin’ now Jun!” His hand slipped down from his arm to grab Junjie’s hand to pull him to run over to follow the tracks of their Drakeins escape finally from the fiery ambush.
